Kitty (and her dog Elliot) gave us a thorough tour of the dome when we arrived and then left us with some goat milk for our morning coffee! Even though it was raining for half of our stay, we had a great morning hanging out in the cabin and exploring the surrounding area in the rain. Would definitely stay again!

The mushroom cabin is as spectacular as you imagine it to be. So peaceful and everything you could need. We chatted to Kitty and watched the hummingbirds which was wonderful. Then relaxed in the calm cabin and had some delicious goats milk with breakfast the next day. Completely magical. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin.

Our stay in the mushroom some cabin was thoroughly enjoyable. It truly took us to another place and time. The location was perfect for us wanting to explore the Santa Cruz to Monterey locations. We were right in the middle! The gorgeous redwoods right outside our door were so majestic, the hummingbird airport was incredible as well. A great retreat from city life. And a random, but much appreciated thing was the water out of the faucet was Amazing! Not sure where it came from, but very good. ( we are water snobs) thank you again and we look forward to our visit back! Next time maybe sans baby ;) thanks again!

This is a very unique cabin and we loved our stay. We are avid cyclists and the cottage is very close to some great MTB routes. Kitty was very friendly and knows a lot about the area. She showed us the humming birds, they were beautiful. The cottage is extremely well organised and they are Airbnb pro's... anything you may want is in the cabin including an awesome popcorn maker :) Thanks for a great stay!

Kitty was very friendly and took the time to welcome us and explain some things about the cabin and the surroundings. We had a nice little chat on her porch. We loved watching the hummingbirds and tasting some goat milk. There were a lot of cats around the property, which reminded us of our cat at home. We liked having acces to coffee for breakfast. The game mindtrap was fun to play.

The Mushroom Dome is a quiet place to get away from it all with the ability to go where you want in society. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to be alone when we wanted. We really enjoyed the cabin and would recommend to others. Look forward to doing it again.

Rachel's home was exactly what I expected it to be: a magical get-away. I absolutely loved the layout of her cabin and the natural light that came through the windows. I am use to back roads, so the drive out to the cabin was a blast for me. She communicated well and left detailed instructions, which I loved. The fireplace was a huge plus, considering it got a little chilly out there in the trees. If you are looking for a sweet romantic or spiritual get-away, this is it! Imagine yourself playing record after record, dancing in front of the fireplace and curling up on the couch. I definitely recommend this space to anyone who is looking for fun get-away.

Great house with interesting and entertaining things to do..record player, books, games, etc. close to Duncan's mills and Sonoma Coast. It's not super well maintained, the yard was overgrown and dishes dirty with dust due to lack of use. But overall, good house.

Great place! Beautiful setting and a well appointed home. We especially enjoyed the books, the records, the smell of the air up there, and sitting in front of the fire. Very comfortable bed. The outdoors is definitely a work in progress, but we don't mind a place that's a little rough around the edges, and we didn't care given the greatness of being in the midst of the beautiful trees back there.

Rachel was thorough and great with communication! The cabin was wonderful and exactly as pictured. We cooked an entire dinner and we felt really accommodated with the kitchen. Had a great night's sleep and as others mentioned, had a great time listening to records!

Brenda was the best. The house was both beautiful and cozy. Brenda (and her adorable dog Boo) were awesome hosts. Definitely the best neighborhood (and maybe best block) in all of SF. I HIGHLY recommend Brenda's home.

I really enjoyed staying with Brenda and getting to chat with her. Upon arrival, she had left me a map of the city as well as a list of some local spots to check out. I didn't get to visit all of them, but I hope to go back and try the rest. Her place was clean and quiet, and I enjoyed the time I spent there. After staying in a couple of other AirBnB homes during my trip through the US, Brenda's place was my last stay and by far the nicest on my trip. The room is everything you need when traveling, super clean, quiet and a comfy bed. The bathroom is also very nice with a good shower. The place is perfectly located to lots of shopping, good eating and walking and only a stones throw away from the Mission and lots of options for public transport. Brenda is lovely, very accommodating, generous and wealth of information about the area and San Francisco in general. Also Brenda (and her flatmate Gates) are just nice people, really easy to talk to and are genuinely interested in your trip and making it better with their insights. I already miss MuMu and Boo :( Highly recommended and thanks again!

Brenda's place was the perfect spot for a solo traveler like me. She was out of town for my first two nights there, but mailed me the key well in advance of my stay. I was so exhausted from a half day of travel my first night there, and nothing looked cozier than that little red room once I finally made it to SF! Additionally, the apartment is in a great location. I walked all over the Mission and Castro with no problem, and for a slightly longer stroll headed up to Haight one morning. Lots of public transit options nearby. Brenda herself is a lovely host, and made me feel completely at home. And the dog and cat are so sweet!

My stay at the cosy room on Castro was super! Brenda was so so sweet, very friendly and made me feel so welcome and at home from the moment I arrived. The room has such a warm and great energy to it, I highly recommend staying with Brenda. Brenda and her lovely housemate jonothan, even asked me to join them for dinner one nigh, very kind! I would definitely stay again next time I am in town.

We had a really good experience staying at Karen's place. This place is very comfortable and quiet. Karen has everything we need ready for us. She was also very patient and considerate about our request. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer.

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at Karen's beautiful garden sanctuary. The location, the decor, the little extras and Karen's warm hospitality made our weekend perfect. We spent our time driving along the coast, catching beach sunsets and enjoying everything that the Monterey Bay Area has to offer. After a drive to Pfiefer Beach near Big Sur we couldn't find a restaurant that was still open. Instead of going to bed hungry, we stopped at the local grocery store, picked up a late night picnic and enjoyed a simple dinner at the apartment while sharing a bottle of wine and a Pandora playlist. Bliss! Mornings were just as relaxing after a very restful sleep. There are plenty of birds, squirrels and wildlife to enjoy while sipping on a cup of French press and enjoying one of Karen's delicious banana muffins. If you want a relaxing stay in the Monterey Bay area look no further than Karen's place. It's the perfect, romantic weekend hideaway. And don't forget to leave your story in the book!

The place was very nice with lots of space on the inside and a little patio outside. The food left for us in the fridge was delicious along with the complimentary bottle of wine. It is really nice to be able to not have to pay a cleaning fee. Also we appreciated the eco-friendliness. There was a trash, recycling bin and even a compost well labeled.

Felt welcomed, place was exactly as pictured/described and the neighborhood was lovely and serene and very convenient to everything we wanted to do in the area.

'Garden sanctuary' is the perfect description!! Karen was a great host, goes above and beyond to make the space a welcoming and easy. She hasn't forgotten anything from the bathroom's products, lighting... to the kitchen's many "extras". Inside is perfectly decorated and the outdoor patio, plants, orchids indoors all make her place warm with an exotic feel. You can sure tell she has experience in the hospitality industry - she's made one perfectly peaceful space!

Karen's place is a delight! It is just as the pictures show. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded, yet minutes from rio del mar beach and various restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful time hanging out in the studio, and were shocked with how nice the place was. Very clean and well kept!

Prior to arriving, Keren contacted us several times to make sure we would easily locate her house, and to see if we had any special needs. Karen wrote a personal note to welcome us. She also welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a well-stocked refrigerator for our breakfast.

We rented this apartment for friends visiting us in SF from France, and it's even more adorable than it looks in the pictures. Our friends were thrilled with it, and frankly, I really wish I lived there. You couldn't hope for a better place.

We totally enjoyed our stay here. The studio was very quaint and elegant. The neighborhood was very unique with so many wonderful small business and shops on Cortland. And who knew that we would have some of the best views of San Francisco from Mount Burnel just a few blocks from the apartment! This was just a very unique way to experience the city! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get steeped in the experience of what the city is really all about.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Mike and Nic's place. The apartment looks exactly as it does in the pictures and you certainly feel at home the moment you walk inside. The neighborhood has lots of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby as well as places to walk around. If you don't have a car (which we didn't) the bus stop is less than a minute walk from the house and takes you directly to the subway station - downtown San Fran is only a few stops from here. If you're looking for a cozy apartment in a quieter neighborhood in San Fran then this is place for you. We would definitely stay here again if we're back in San Fran.

Mike and Nic's place was fabulous. I had never spent much time in Bernal Heights, and I loved it. I went on a gorgeous hike and are delicious food, just around the corner. Mike and Nic were extremely responsive and great to work with. I would stay here again for a nice weekend in SF.

Our host made us feel welcomed upon our arrival and showed us around the apartment. She also said to contact her should we need anything which was really nice of her. We didn't see much of our host after the first meeting, and were left to do as we liked independently. The apartment did seem a tiny bit smaller than it looked in the photo but was beautiful and perfect for our week long stay. The local area was a lovely, quiet neighbourhood with lots of familys. The main road, Courtland, is only 5 minutes away and has a big variety of stores, cafes, and restaurants including a grocery store. We met a lovely woman running a dry cleaning place called Dan's Cleaners, who was really friendly and helpful. There seemed to be a great community vibe in the area. We recommend the incredibly good Peruvian restaurant where the food and drink is heavenly. We also recommend a store called Succulence which has a great selection of hand made crafty type gifts and plants in gorgeous glass containers. The woman who served us was really helpful and fun to talk with.

The apartment fit our needs as a family of three spending a week in the Bay Area. We used it as a base, leaving fairly early each morning and returning at night. Mike and Nic were pleasant, friendly and helpful. We borrowed a friend's car and always found a parking space on the street. The neighborhood is a little farther out, but is fairly close to the Mission, where our friends live, so that was convenient. There are some good cafes a short walk away. The area is safe, clean, quiet. Loved the panoramic views from Bernal Heights --a short walk or drive away.

I traveled alone to San Francisco for the first time and this place was a little slice of heaven for me. The studio looks even better in person then it does in the pictures and the pictures are amazing. The location is amazing and the hosts were awesome. Mike and Nic were more than accommodating. I had the most amazing trip and was able to rest up quietly and comfortably. Oh and I absolutely LOVED the fireplace. This would definitely be my go to spot the next time I head to San Francisco.

The apartment is in a great neighbourhood for starting to explore San Francisco. There are lots of restaurants, bars and places to pick up food. Sara has the place set up so you can bring your own good if you want. The apartment had great facilities, Dara had even left a pile of guide books to suit all. The neighbourhood feels safe and can cater for all ages. Definitely recommend this listing.

Walking distance to Gloden Gate Park, and surrounded by nice neiboughood, this is a great location to explore a real San Fransisco. Sara is very nice and Boo is adorable. The problem is that the room is located downstairs, and some people might find it look like a basement. The privacy is also a concern as you can clearly hear people talking and walking on the 2nd floor... Guess this is common in San Fransisco's old house though...

Sara's Garden Retreat in the Haight is the most delightful and serene of places in San Francisco! Sara was gracious in introducing us to this cozy and inviolable sanctuary. It is located a couple of blocks from great shopping, restaurants, and parks. Sara provided an awesome Nespresso machine and toaster oven. The small refrigerator is perfect for storing the bottle of wine you'll want to enjoy in this lovely space. I would book it again in a heartbeat! Thanks Sara!

This spacious studio goes above and beyond to offer all the comforts of home. In a nutshell, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The Good: - Away from the touristy hustle and bustle - Walking distance to Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, and Lands End - Cute, incredibly clean, with a comfy bed - Well-stocked kitchenette and bathroom - Wifi - Two outdoor patios, one private, with birds and landscaping - On a bus line The Not-So-Good: - Paper thin walls (the tenants above weren't loud, per se, but we could hear every footstep and conversation as though they were occurring in the next room) - Transit street noise (while this didn't bother us, I might suggest that light sleepers bring earplugs) - No TV (again, not an issue for us but might be for others) - Super stellar bars and restaurants directly in the neighborhood are a bit lacking - While incredibly easy to get to SF-Proper, know that it takes approx. 20 minutes via bus

Dennis's place was beautiful. Close walk to Baker Beach and Golden Gate Park. The location was quiet and allowed us to see the residential side of San Francisco while also being close enough to downtown. The bus system was easy to navigate and there was a bus stop right outside the house. Dennis's suggestion list was also great, and we did almost everything on the list. Perfect place to stay if you want to see the sights of San Francisco.

The unit was precisely as described, everything was in order and really clean & neat! Good location as well, a quiet neighborhood minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge. We traveled with a rental car and managed to find parking space nearby on every occasion. All in all, very recommendable!

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Dennis and Nancy's studio basement. This was our first visit to San Francisco and they were both so accommodating, giving us helpful tips of the area. We felt very welcome as soon as we met them. The basement was cosy, well decorated, plenty of character, clean and well equipped for small meals like breakfast. Being down below in the basement you can hear some pitta patter of feet above, but it didn't seem to bother us, by the time it was bed time everyone was quiet. We will be back again for sure thanks again for a wonderful experience

Dennis was so friendly and so helpful. The studio was very comfortable and clean and located an easy bus trip to downtown.

My host tried to make me feel welcome but I'm afraid that I have to give the experience a bad review. I did not understand from the listing that it was a basement apartment (which meant lots of sounds from the floor above, spiders above the bed & kitchen garbage, a long dark hallway in spite of the one light, that one had to go through to get to the apartment.) The key to the street door was left on a leather tongue attached to the inside of the mailbox. Anyone casing the place with so much traffic going in & out could see the set up. The host told me I could remove the "public" key during my stay. But then I discovered that the door to the apartment had no outside lock so I could not lock it when I left. There was a bolt for locking it from the inside. Plus a few feet away was a door to their enclosed back yard garden which was kept open. So I did not feel safe as a single woman in urban America & could not believe anyone would have a set up like that. The apartment itself was tastefully done and fun. The few problems (cleaning people having left no toilet paper & very dead flowers; sink plug that disconnected the first time I used it; no can opener when I went to cook my dinner in a well set up kitchen) were all taken care of immediately. And I was patient & understanding with each of these things. I knew they were new at this and discovering how to work out the kinks. But the first time I had a complaint, that I couldn't leave my suitcase for a couple of hours after check out because I had a late flight out, I received a rude & unprofessional text accusing me of being a problem. We got through that with a couple back & froths, but it was disturbing to my day. And then on leaving there was a very upsetting confrontation. I saw they were letting the next guests put their suitcases in the garage! I confronted them calmly with the question of what was their problem with me. Instead of explaining the reason they were making an exception for this couple, they aggressively tried to get me to leave. I said they were being "nasty" and left very upset. So it was not a good experience for my first airbnb.

Jeff and Mike were wonderful, kind hosts. They were prompt, informative, and very helpful. The location of the house is perfect (about 1 mile from the marina area, and 2 miles from Haight-Ashbury). Not to mention it's proximity to Fillmore Street with tons of restaurants and cafes, and parks with great views of the city. The room was modern, updated, beautiful wood work and new bathroom. The house itself had a ton of charm. I would stay here again, and recommend it to everyone.

Jeffrey was extremely kind and accommodating during my stay at his fabulous place! If you're looking for a clean, swanky, 'boutique like' room in one of the best locations in SF stay here! Jeffrey turned a classic Victorian home into a modern treasure (wait until you see the updated spa bathroom with skylight). My only disappointment was that I didn't book a longer stay here!

This was our first stay in an airbnb listing and it was wonderful. Jeff and Mike were really accomodating and they answered all our questions prior to arrival or throughout our stay. The location is great, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars and small shops. The room was amazing. It is lovely decorated, very spacious and very clean. The room an the bathroom could not be any better. Coming back to San Francisco we would deinitively stay here again and recommend it to friends.

My brief stay with Jeff and Mike was wonderful. They were very friendly and extremely responsive to messages during my stay. They let me check in early due to my early flight. They also reminded me that there was a parade going on in Chinatown on the day I arrived, which was very nice and attentive of them. The location of the listing is fantastic. It's right by fillmore street, which is quite busy during the day. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, stores and etc. nearby. And it's a very quiet neighbourhood at night. It's about a 30 min. walk from downtown which is great for people that likes to explore the city on foot. The room was fantastic, basically like a 5-star hotel room. Very clean and spacious with very high ceilings.

Blair was fantastic at making us feel at home. Anything we needed was just a text or call away. The apartment was exactly as described and in the best location you could ask for. We walked almost everywhere with no problem.

This was our first experience with Airbnb but the description and the pictures were true to the space, even exceeding our expectations. The apartment is truly lovely. It is well-decorated and cared for, clean and cozy. We felt instantly at home, so much so that we are already talking about our next stay at Blair's.

Blair's condo is absolutely beautiful! It's located in one of the prettiest neighbourhood's of SF, it's quiet, very well decorated, equiped for making your own meals. We felt like home there and could see ourselves settling down in that kind of lifestyle! Shops are a few blocks down but you need to be a good walker ! Alot of steep streets to get to bus stops, grocery stores etc Perfectly located for siteseeing around SF, pretty central. Blair is very available to anwser your questions which is very helpful & nice. Overall I definately recommend staying in Blair's condo!

I love Blair's apartment! It's really nice and perfectly located -close to Fillmore street filled with cute shops and cafe! The amenities were really great specifically the bed is so comfortable. Kitchen is gorgeous and nicely stock with spices etc. However note there wasn't a microwave which would have been convenient to re-heat leftover food etc. Blair was easy to reach and helpful with her recommendations on places to eat and visit in SF. Only opportunity area is the absence of closet space in the apt. If you have short stay that would be fine..but for longer stay would be nice to hang clothes etc. vs. living out of a suitcase. We would definitely recommend Blair's place to friends visiting SF!

We absolutely loved Blair's place in Pacific Heights. The neighborhood is beautiful and the apartment is impeccably and beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location was fantastic - just a few (very steep) blocks to Union Street famous for it's boutiques and restaurants, or you can go up the street and walk down (the much less steep) Fillmore that is also filled with lovely boutiques and restaurants. I was so so happy to be back in the City and always love to rent an apartment when I go so I can feel like I live there again, even for just a few days, and Blair's apartment was perfect. She was a very responsive, easy-going and helpful host. Would definitely stay there again.

This was my first airbnb experience, and I am so glad I had Anka! I worried that staying in someone's house might be awkward, but from the start she was so friendly and caring that I felt right at home. The room itself is spacious and comfy, and the house is stocked full of amenities like ipod players and luscious towels and a great kitchen. I prefer to make my own breakfast and lunch and it was no problem to do here. I also like having a code lock and a key to get into the house, it feels so safe. The house is in the Castro, close to a ton of flamboyant fun, and also easy to get to public transportation and go anywhere. I asked Anka where to find a more hipster vibe and she had great suggestions. I didn't feel her presence too much in the house but when I texted her to ask a question she was happy to help. So airbnb vs hotel: I think this is a more authentic way to stay in a city, in neighborhoods that don't have hotels but have great nook restaurants, cafes, music venues. You're not surrounded by hotel guests, you are like a local. It's cool.

If you've ever wanted to go to San Francisco to experience what life is like in the Bay Area, you can't go wrong in this wonderful apartment! With it's central location, you are close to so many amazing restaurants, and attractions it is mind boggling. I loved being here, and Anka is such a sweet hostess! Perfect! Anka's apartment was airy, comfortable, lovingly decorated, organized beyond belief, clean clean clean, and like Anka herself, wonderfully welcoming. The front room has a great view over the Mission District and the Bay. The bedroom itself is private, spacious, with a very comfortable bed and is set up with everything you could ever want. Bathroom and kitchen were immaculate and well stocked. The location is ideal, quiet, just uphill from the vibrant Castro, just down from Haight street, and an easy walk to Golden Gate Park in one direction and Market Street in the other, with its wonderful old streetcars that take you downtown and to the waterfront. The key handover was effortless, and like everything else, well thought out. And Anka, herself, whom we only actually met on our last morning, was warm, delightful and full of ideas. It obviously really mattered to her that we had a good time both in the City and in the apartment. Our stay couldn't have been better. Perfect!

It probably wasn't the best idea to start out Airbnb experience off with Kepa. She has set the bar WAY too high! From the moment we arrived in this hidden gem in Potrero Hills we were made to feel welcomed and loved. We started out afternoon off with a cold local brew and after discussing our day plans with Kepa we were ready to go. She gave us many fabulous recommendations on restaurants and things to do. We had the best time! The space was so clean and cozy. Honestly we could not have been happier. We can't wait to return and visit Kepa again. She is definitely going on our Christmas card list:)

What a lovely host and fabulous place to stay in San Fran. Kepa was so delightful and helpful, arming us with local knowledge on food and activities for our time in San Fran. The unit was the perfect size for the two of us for 4 nights. We had access to a small fridge, kitchen appliances, and Kepa had kindly supplied some tea, coffee and snacks. We had plenty of clean towels, extra blankets and anything else we could have needed for our short stay. We stayed in the garden cabana and really enjoyed the privacy, we didn't once bump into other guests. Kepa also helped us with parking when street roadworks were undertaken. We walked most places, especially to local restaurants in the evening on 18th, it was perfect. The home felt safe, secure and comfortable. Kepa is a delightful host and a lovely lady. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in SF.

We had the most amazing experience staying at Kepa's beautiful Garden Cabana! It was the perfect escape and everything was immaculate. My husband really enjoyed the cold beers waiting in the fridge after a long drive in traffic. Every detail of the cabana is clean, well decorated, and all around perfect! We can't wait to stay again. It's a beautiful oasis in a fun and busy city. A perfect retreat to come back to. Our favorite part was getting to visit with Kepa on the night of our arrival. She was so welcoming and helped us plan out our next day in the city. Thank you so much for everything, Kepa! You will be seeing us again very soon!

Kepa is the best!! I was only able to spend 15 hours in the cabana during my stay, but 10 of those, I got the best sleep of my life, and 2 of those were enjoying her company. Kepa's garden hideaway was the perfect place to stay on my business trip. I loved the beachy charm of the space and it had everything I needed and more.

Katyand I had a great stay with Ivan and Wendy. They made our first airbnb experience a great one. The room was really comfortable, linens and towels were clean and comfy! They were excellent hosts, and it was really easy.

This is really a great place to stay in SF. Located not Downtown but in the vibrant Mission District it is perfect for not being in between tourists all day. Ivan and Wendy were great hosts. We did not see them a lot but they helped us whenever needed. We would definitively stay at their apartment again.

Ivan, Wendy, and their sweet dog Milo are a lovely couple, who have beautifully restored and old Victorian treasure in the heart of the Mission District. I felt welcome, and could not have enjoyed my stay any better. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I loved staying at Ivan and Wendy's house - they are in the perfect location and this is a gorgeous sunny and spacious room. The bathroom is beautiful with a great claw footed tub and rainforest shower. Ivan & Wendy were extremely welcoming and gave me lots of excellent San francisco tips - a big 10/10 all round!

Fantastic king suite, with super comfy bed, especially for a bad back person. Amazing bathroom amenities, patio overlooking gardens and walking distance to public transportation, restaurants and shops. Golden Gate Park is a 10-15 min walk. A must see. Napalito restaurant is a must eat place...margaritas and carnitas out of this world.

Kelly's apartment is extremely comfortable. It is fastidiously clean. The appointments are high end. We soaked up the sun on the deck, looking at wooded Mt. Sutro. Access is simple with electronic key pads. The apartment contains everything you need, and nothing you don't. It is suffused with natural light. Wi-fi connectivity was strong. A well-lit walk-in closet holds all your things. The generous bathroom is newly renovated with Hansgrohe fixtures. So lovely! Access to major transit lines is 1-2 blocks away. We enjoyed the local farmers' market on Sunday morning. The neighborhood has restaurants, bars, and services galore. You can do all your shopping on your way back from a stroll in Golden Gate Park!

Great space. Perfect for couple. High end bathroom and well appointed unit. Quiet. Short walk to great food, services, and park/museums! Look forward to returning here.

The listing description and pictures are very accurate. We were very happy with the suite and would stay again. The bathroom is amazing and the balcony is a nice place to relax after a day of exploring the city.

Kelly is a great and very friendly host and the apartment is as in the discretion or even better, we felt like home! It is very well decorated and very cosy! I defiantly recommend this place! The only thing was the parking on the street sometimes we had to look during 30 minutes to find one near the place but it didn't change the fact that this place is very good and in a beautiful location.

Great, spacious location. Even has a private deck off the bedroom! A quiet space to decompress after a busy day. Close to coffee shops and quick bites. Just a short Uber away from all the SF destinations.

Lovely place to stay.

The place was cute and clean, and Michelle was super nice. Definitely a great deal for SF! The only reason that I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is that they said there is on premises parking and there is not. The street parking situation is surprisingly okay, but it's not the same peace of mind as on premises parking.

Michelle is a great and helpful host and the place is very cozy and quaint. Recommend!

The bedroom has a cute little chalkboard to draw on! The orange cat is super sweet, room was comfy and neat.

Michelle has a easy, artistically decorated space that felt very homelike. The location is close to MUNI, the neighborhood quiet, with the benefit of a beautiful park close by. My husband and I were out late and up late after Michelle and her children were off for the day. So once we were up we had coffee and showers in what felt like our own home and were off for the day. Michelle had everything we needed.

We loved staying here! The neighborhood was quiet and parking wasn't a hassle at all. We actually had the whole place to ourselves, but Michelle provided us with everything we needed and was quick to respond when we messaged her. The place was cute and cozy, with lots of artwork and decorations on the walls. The kitties were very sweet-- they slept on our bed during the night and woke us up in the morning! Wish we could have stayed another night.

Michelle is so sweet and down to earth! Her home is so welcoming and she is just an amazing person to talk to! She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us tips on everything to do in the city and Oakland. PS there is a huge park within 5 minutes of her house - only 10 minutes walking through the park and you get an ocean view and a view of the entire city and the bridges. I will definitely be back when I have more time to relax and enjoy the city!

Robert is a very easy going and gracious host. He was mostly not in the apartment during my stay which was nice to have some privacy. The place is very small and not good for hanging out but if you were in the city I am sure you won't be in the room often. For the location it was an excellent price. The apartment definitely isn't anything fancy and a little older style. All in all, if I happen to need a place to stay in SF I would definitely consider Rob's place. If you happen to have a vehicle, there is absolutely no parking and garages are pricey around the area but so is the rest of SF. (not a car friendly neighborhood)

This is the second time I have stayed with Robert, and I hope to stay with him again the next time I am in SF. Robert is a great host - always welcoming, helpful and fun to be with. The location is perfect - across from Trader Joe's, near so many buses and very safe. But the best advantage of staying there is Robert. I recommend him and his nice apartment.

Robert was great. Very helpful. The apartment was clean and gave me lots of privacy in the morning when I woke up and was ready to shower. The neighbourhood is peaceful. It's not downtown San Fran but you can easily walk or take the bus. He was super sweet. He walked me to my hotel in tenderloin (terrible area) the day I checked out to meet my tour group. Great guy. I totally recommend this place.

Josh is the best-organized host I've had the privilege of staying with - and that's a high bar! (I've had several great hosts.) He provides a detailed multi-page guide (both in hard copy and as a .pdf!) thoroughly describing his place, the neighborhood, transportation options, etc. Complete with links! Really useful stuff. Josh's place is impeccably clean, and also well-organized. It's very comfortable, and he is very gracious and generous about guest use. And the view! I spent several hours on my laptop at his dining room table, and it was wonderful to be able to look across the entire eastern half of San Francisco while working. I'm hoping my work takes me back there soon, and I hope I can book with Josh again!

Josh was super responsive and nice. He lives in a absolutely beautiful apartment with an unreal view over San Francisco. One of the cleanest Airbnb's I've been too. He was super helpful and didn't mind if we asked him for recommendations and even let us text him during the day if we had questions. Highly recommend staying here!

Checking in at Joshua’s place was very easy and Joshua was really welcoming. The apartment was super clean and everything matches the descriptions and photos. The city overview from the living room/balcony is fantastic and the neighbourhood felt very safe. Joshua is an excellent host and we had a very pleasant stay!

The appartment was nice and very clean, offers a great view of San Francisco and downtown. Busses lead directly to Castro, Mission or Haight Street. We stayed for 5 nights, but hardly met our host, as he was out working during the day. Nevertheless he was immediately helpful when we asked for support, offered guidebook information about the city. We had great days!

Our experience was superb begging to end. Great communication. Good directions. There is nothing in the photos that rings un true. The house was immaculate, stylish, and beautiful views from the panoramic window in the living room. Joshua is sweet kind, a perfect host. Gave us our privacy but still very engaging and accommodating. The room was more than enough space for girls and all our over packing :0) ! We also rented a car , street parking was a snap. this is a find ! Highly recommend a stay here !

We had a fantastic stay at Josh's place at the start of our trip. As detailed in his listing, the Castro (and other neighborhoods) are just a short walk away, with all the amazing food (and more) that comes with. I'd also say the pictures don't even do the unit justice. It was incredibly clean and in great condition when we arrived with a fantastic view of the city from his balcony. His instructions prior to our arrival were perfectly clear, and though we didn't run into him more than a couple times, he was very hospitable, making sure to provide recommendations for food/activities when needed. When needed (which was hardly ever) he was right on top of communication/questions, and never felt unavailable. Even the initial booking was incredibly fast and friendly. This was our first AirBNB stay, and he made it a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage for 4 days. Chris and Barbara are wonderful hosts. The place is very cozy in a nice neighborhood of North Oakland, walkable to BART and restaurants on Telegraph Ave. The common areas were always clean and we had no problem using the private bathroom and the shared kitchen in the main house. The cottage has a nice collection of books and a nice outdoor patio if you feel like grabbing one of those books and read it on the patio. Highly recommend this place.

My fiance and I stayed in chris and barbs guest house. It is very quaint and lovely. We met Chris who was very hospitable, everything you might need is there, the neighborhood and street parking are safe. We are very appreciative of the hospitality and comfortable accomodations. Chris and Barbara’s little cottage room is lovely, the deck is nice and the kitchen well equipped. They were both very friendly and helpful. It’s a bit far from the BART and takes a while to get into downtown San Francisco (45 mins) but the bus stop is quite close by so you don’t need to walk far.

Really great hosts - provided lots of information and great directions before our arrival and were very welcoming at check-in. The little cottage is really great and was a real treat after 2 weeks camping in our tent! The bed is also super comfy and they provided really soft towels too. Strongly recommend the Mexican nearby on Telegraph Avenue called Cholita Linda - it's amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

Barbara and Chris were warm and welcoming, and their backyard cottage was just as described. We loved the books lining the shelf in the room and the table and chairs on the back deck. Our hosts were also very accommodating and allowed us to store our bikes and luggage in their garage during our stay. Our young son also loved interacting with the friendly cat and dogs.

Chris and Barbara were very hospitable and wonderful hosts! Their backyard cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy, and is in a good location between Oakland and Berkeley with easy access to San Francisco by BART. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay at Chris and Barbara's place. The backyard cottage is very beautiful and has a very comfy bed. The private bathroom and the possibility to use the kitchen was great. Chris and Barbara are super hosts, easy to communicate with, very flexible and very nice, too :) They helped us with every little problem we had (late arrival,...). Also important to mention is that the location is very close to three BART stations, what makes it perfect if you are planning to check out SFC! We would definitely choose this place again, if we come back to Oakland.

My friends and I loved our stay at Charlesie and Todd's while we visited San Francisco to run a half-marathon. In a quiet, friendly neighbourhood, the apartment was spotless, close to our bus route and BART, and suited our needs perfectly in terms of space and amenities to suit three adults. This apartment is roomy and cozy. It had all that we needed for a comfortable stay. It is located in a pleasant, quiet residential neighborhood. Grocery stores are within walking distance. We never had a problem with finding a parking place at which we could leave the car for several days. The I-280 is reachable within 5 - 10 minutes. With buses and streetcars, which are no more than a 10 minute walk away, one can go to beaches, Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf or downtown - and ride through interesting neighborhoods along the way; it was like a free sightseeing tour. A BART-station is easily reachable with a short bus ride. The hosts, Carlesie and Tedd, are exceptional. They are very helpful, friendly, informative, generous and thoughtful. We found useful and tasty food and drink items waiting for us in the refrigerator; they even supplied us with home-made bread. They are also discrete, respecting the privacy of their guests.The Sunnyside apartment is a showcase example of why it is so pleasant to use airbnb. We cannot imagine a better place to stay in San Francisco. We felt right at home there and were sorry that we had to leave.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very clean & well-equipped. Although a little bit from the centre from San Francisco the transport links to the centre are excellent and it is also handy for the airport. Charlesie & Tedd made us feel very welcome & were very helpful. The fridge was stocked with vital supplies and it was nice to find some fresh bread on our arrival.

Charlesie and Tedd were wonderful hosts, greeting us on arrival and making us feel so welcome. The apartment was lovely and clean and had everything we needed (including a great hair dryer!). We loved the country-style garden which was a peaceful place to sit and relax. The apartment was a 2-minute walk to the 43 bus which we used every day. The same bus takes you to Balboa Park BART station in a couple of minutes, where a train will take you downtown in 10 minutes. Supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants were 10–15 minutes walk away on Ocean Avenue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment!
