Holiday rentals with lake access in San Francisco Bay Area

This house was amazing and super clean. The view was incredible. We very much enjoyed our family event of 3 days. I would highly recommend this place.

The view looking out into the woods and river from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in late April and it was a bit rainy so it wasn’t feasible to enjoy the river, but the location more than made up for it. The proximity to Armstrong Redwoods, Jenner, and several charming nearby towns made for a perfect mix of hiking, beach walks, and exploring local spots.

Carlos was very gracious and responsive. We met informally on the walkway into the house and he was friendly and shared the history of the house. There are many unique decorative objects in the house from Bali and other travels. The setting is homey and cultured at the same time. We had a minor accident on the stairs and Carlos was right there with offers of assistance. All was well, and his response was kind and reassuring.

We loved the convenience of having direct water access. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a fantastic deck for enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Our host was very attentive. Highly recommend for a relaxing waterfront getaway.

We had a lovely stay at the lakehouse. A few small issues cropped up during the stay and Amber responded quickly. The handyman who comes to maintain and fix things is also a friendly guy. The view of the lake is beautiful and I enjoyed waking up to catch the sunrises. We were on a family vacation with a few kids and they had a blast at the house with all the fun games they could play, like ping pong and cornhole.

We had a great stay! We went for a girls trip. The house was very cute. Jonathan was very friendly and always had time to answer my questions. I was a bit sad that the outdoor area did not match photos and was a bit dirty due to being out doors. It was an easy clean however. The house was well stocked with items that made it feel like a home which we appreciated. Thank you!

We came for Father's Day because my husband loves to fish. There were 5 adults and my 8 year old granddaughter. The place was immaculate! There was something much to do we didn't know where to start. We enjoyed the video games, the board games, ping pong, basketball and pool!! There were toys for my granddaughter to play with as well! She didn't touch her iPad the entire trip. And the lake was awesome!! Caught crappie and catfish, a huge fish pounder. Everything was well labeled, explained and cozy. We did not leave the house for anything except food to cook! There was everything you needed and more in the house!! The host was amazing! 🤩 can't wait to return just to play more games at the arcade!

Belinda's place was worthy of all of the 5 stars I just submitted. We were entirely pleased with all aspects of her home and our stay. If it matters to future travelers, there are 45 steps from the sidewalk to the front door. We managed these steps, but there is no getting around them.

Great place in a beautiful neighborhood. Just what we wanted. Among other things, the kitchen was great and well-supplied, including coffee, fruit, bottled water, and a bottle of wine! We felt very welcome and will certainly try to rent it again when we're back in Oakland.

I've stayed at LaurieAnn's several times and this continues to be my first choice whenever I'm in the Bay Area. LaurieAnn was very responsive to all my needs, as always. Perfect for a mobile single senior traveler. Highly recommended.

Kyle is an amazing host. Friendly, reasonable and super prompt. It felt like he was right there with us. We definitely felt like this was a great place for us. Kyle was truly invested in us having a good experience and it showed in all our messages. The place has everything for a short and long term stay and is close to restaurants, grocery stores and the beach. Great spot overall!

My stay at this Airbnb was truly amazing! It was peaceful, quiet, and perfect for me and my two young children. From the moment we arrived, I felt completely at home. The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed—and more! Monique, the host, was incredibly responsive and attentive. She made sure all of my needs were met and communicated with me every step of the way. The entire experience felt smooth and stress-free. Despite having two little ones who can be a bit loud at times, we had no complaints, which really allowed me to relax and enjoy our stay. The amenities were top-tier: a beautifully stocked coffee bar (which I definitely enjoyed every morning!), fast and reliable Wi-Fi, and even a washer and dryer, which was such a blessing when traveling with kids. The location was also perfect—safe, quiet, and very convenient. What made it even better was how affordable and reasonably priced it was for everything that was offered. Wonderful spot right on the lake. Next door to a free boat ramp. 4 minute drive to a bunch of restaurants and parks. Also the inside was all newly remodeled, very modern kitchen and bathroom. Will likely be coming back.

Perfect place for a visit for a wedding. Lots of walkable access to stores and restaurants and lake Merritt. Hosts are very responsive and helpful.

We had such a great time!! The amenities were so amazing! Paddle boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fishing poles were so amazing! We did not leave except to go to the bait and tackle store! It was amazing! They were so kind and attentive! we had a wonderful time

We have stayed at this cottage multiple times, and plan on returning many more. Although I stay at other AirBnb’s throughout the country for work, nothing compares to this Manchester Cottage for vacation. The host has the hosting process done to a T. The entire experience, from start to finish was flawless. Other hosts should take note on how to do it properly. The private beach access is definitely the coup de grace of the entire experience, but the fully equipped kitchen is runner up. With 3 sons, having a functional kitchen is a must. Not to mention the gas grill on the deck near the hot tub. Just writing the review makes me want to book my next visit! We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

I don't think I have enough characters available to describe this experience! We use Airbnb often and this was our best one! First, the host Jeffrey was fantastic. So helpful and communicative. But this home is just a magical place. If you're looking for a very private experience, but still close to the city... this fits the bill. I don't think the photos posted do it justice compared to the in-person experience. The house-keeping crew is perfection... you wouldn't know someone ever visited before you. Everything was immaculately clean. The kitchen has every amenity you would ever need. Blankets, linens, and towels were abundant. Our group had the most wonderful time... thank you Jeffrey and Trey for sharing your home with travelers. We enjoyed the added bonus of wildlife encounters each day as well! I am sharing the link to this property with everyone I know!

Such a beautiful, secluded stay. We brought all our food and cooked in the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. We loved the pool table and piano upstairs. The beach is stunning. And the view — second to none! Can’t wait to return.

The house was wonderful and clean and had great parking for my truck and trailer. Sitting on the back porch was amazing as deer and all kinds of waterfowl in the area to see.

We found just what we were looking for; a peaceful and private cabin near the Russian River and with a lot of style and soul to boot. The house was very clean, comfortable and provided some sweet outdoor spaces for dining and lounging. With the heavy vegetation growing below, we didn't have a view of the river, but it was just a quick stroll away. The only downside I can think of is traffic noise along a semi-busy road that's nearby. But it wasn't a buzzkill and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. We hope to return soon.

Lovely place ! Nice & cozy for our little family of 3! Our dog loved the space. We caught some catfish on the pier which was really fun! Would recommend checking the weather beforehand, at no fault of the airbnb itself, high winds kept us inside most of our time but we made the most of it! Will definitely make time to visit again, thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful time at Carolyn’s place. We loved spending a day on her deck overlooking the lake - so beautiful. We also took advantage of her fire table out front. She also had a sturdy fold out table for dining - we initially didn’t see it in the pictures but she actually had everything we needed to enjoy a full meal around a table. Bonus points that we could fold it away for more space when not using! Carolyn was also very responsive and checked in daily on how we were doing. Would love to come back!
