Angela was a wonderful host especially when it came to navigating a tricky situation. She responded quickly and was helpful and communicative.

What a great place to stay! It's close to downtown, close to Tandem bakery/coffee shop and within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants that Portland has to offer. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is lovely, everything is so clean and self check in is easy with a combo lockset. It also has the cutest little travel iron we've ever seen. The listing is accurate, the spiral staircase is very fun but would not be easy to navigate if one was obese or had had too much to drink, especially at night. It requires a little focus and intention but we loved it! The availability of Netflix was a plus! Great little place!

The shower is great and I loved the spiral staircase - super cute! It was easy to call Lyft whenever we needed a ride and left the car parked in the street with free parking all weekend. Definitely a good spot to stay in Portland!

Angela's place was great. It was exactly as described so there were no surprises! The apartment was small, but it was a perfect space for our time there. The bathroom was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. The binder that was made was such a thoughtful and helpful touch. I plan to stay here again during the summer months, but even in the winter it was still in such a walkable location. I definitely recommend this place!

My sister and I stayed with Sharon last minute and it was the perfect place for us! Her space is simple and has a lot of historical charm. It’s in a great location- easy to get around and close to everything. Sharon was quick to respond and check in was super easy even when we got into Portland late at night. Lovely room with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Extremely quiet room.

This little 1 bedroom is perfect for a couple or couple with baby (as we are). Katie had the pack n play set up for us and also a high chair which saved us from carrying extra items into the house. The place is so cozy, super clean and just right for a great sleep after a long travel day/week. Katie was so friendly and had lots of tips and info to share about the area. She even saved us with a battery jump when our car died!! The home is on a quiet street in a tucked away neighborhood, but within 15-20 minutes of all nearby attractions/towns. The entrance is through their main home, so you may get to say hi to one of her kids and smell yummy cooking! But otherwise it's private and lovely.

This place is absolutely ADORABLE!! My wife and I came for a babymoon and we could not have been more pleased. The place is filled with thoughtful touches, tremendous hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere. When we were out out on the town, we admittedly wanted to come back to our AirBnb! It's in a very convenient location, as it is just minutes away from downtown Portland! We are also just a short drive to the LL Bean store, which we went to twice! On a side note, my wife needed another pillow because she is is 22 weeks pregnant. Katherine went OUT OF HER WAY to make sure that my wife had another pillow. We just appreciate the hospitality and truly felt at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience true bliss in New England.

David is a very helpful host who responds quickly to texts and goes out of his way to assure you’re comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed plus some. The absolute best location is it’s outstanding asset and what we appreciated the most. We are planning on returning as soon as we can.

Amazing spot steps from the beach with wonder views of the dunes, sea and sunrise. Bigger than expected and really airy we had a fantastic stay - the sound of the surf really does lull you to sleep yet the bright lights of the town are just a walk away! A quaint, and very comfortable seaside condo at a great little beach town. The condo itself has everything you need from a fully equipped kitchen to a stereo, DVD player and TV. Highly recommend for a relaxing and affordable vacation!

My three friends and I stayed at Nick’s Place for a weekend girls trip to explore Portland! We had a great experience during our stay. This apartment was located in a great spot. It was within walking distance from many great restaurants and coffee shops on Congress Street, it is even right around the corner from the Holy Donut (the highlight of our experience). It is within walking from Commercial Street as well, but a little further. We walked some days but also took a quick cheap uber some days/nights! Overall a great location to stay if you are looking to be right in the heart of Portland! Nick was a great host! The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. The check in/check out process was super easy! We would definitely consider staying with Nick again for a future trip!

For me, traveling on a tight budget, my favorite part was the full kitchen, as I could prep meals during my stay instead of always eating out. Grocery stores (including Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods) are only a couple of minutes away by car- very convenient! The skylights are a really charming feature, and things are decorated so nicely. I felt right at home!

A couple reallyyyy good restauraunts right by the apartment: Boda for late night thai food, Bayside American cafe for brunch and Hot Suppa for breakfast were a few of our favorites! We would definitely stay at Nova's place again, thanks Nova!!!

I’ve probably stayed at 20 Airbnb’s at this point, and I would say that Peter & Sabrina put the most thought into making the space as comfortable as possible out of all the Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at.

We loved our stay at Peter and Sabrina's apartment! I think our dogs loved it more- they really enjoyed meeting Gracie, and the fenced yard is magnificent! Our hosts were super hospitable, we are so grateful.

This place is ADORABLE. I stayed for one night with my sister and would definitely stay here again. Michelle is super helpful and easy to communicate with, the location has a dedicated parking spot, and it’s within walking (or cheap ubering) distance to pretty much anywhere you could want to go. This place was perfect for my one-night stay in Portland. It’s a short ride from the airport and within walking distance to both downtown and the Greyhound station. It’s a small, cozy spot for one or two people. The WiFi is strong, too.

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at! I work from home and the Internet was very fast, neighborhood and building very quiet, and tons of natural light in the studio that made it a wonderful place to work. The bed was also super comfortable and the pour over coffee was delicious! Would definitely return!

Chris’s place was a perfect location for our first time to Portland. It is less than a half a mile walk to everywhere we wanted to go and it was a great, centralized home base. Will definitely be back!

Chris’s place is modern with classic touches. It is in a central location allowing for easy access to many tourist attractions as well as local gems. We used Uber to get around and fares were cheap because of the great location. It’s 2nd floor walk up right downtown, a large bedroom, updated kitchen, and beautiful large widows. Although the windows could use curtains for at night, it did not change my opinion of the place overall. Definitely would recommend!

Pamela’s place is well appointed. There are towels and bedding for the maximum 3 occupancy and a kitchen that has everything you would ever need to prepare your meals if you like. There are several restaurants nearby, many that say they are open year round. She keeps the space sparkling clean. The location is great and the beach is beautiful. The bed is pretty hard so if you prefer a softer sleep you may not get your zzzzz’s.

This was a clean, cozy place to stay. It’s right across the street from the ocean, only 15 minutes away from downtown Portland, and Pamela was very responsive. I would stay here again.

Lovely cozy studio in the midst of Pine Point. Nice deck for dining and relaxing. Hosts are welcoming but provide a quiet, private space. And you can enjoy fresh lobster from their home business!

Very nice apartment near the beach. Very simple communication with Pamela. The apartment is very clean and super well equipped. We stayed 4 nights with our 4 year old daughter and it was ideal for our needs. I would come back without hesitating.

Travelers, you can expect a small but well appointed space to stay when you reserve time at Pamela’s place! Perfect for two, though you can fit three comfortably as we did. Public access to the sandy ocean beach is just across the road, and there are several fresh seafood restaurants also within walking distance. If you’re lucky, Mark the lobsterman will have a couple lobsters left from his catch of the day, which he’ll then cook for you! This was a wonderful place to stay!

Daniel and Ben don’t live in the area but they are super great at communicating throughout the process. They gave us a bunch of info before and during the whole booking process as well as before and during our stay. The place is a decent distance from everything, although if it’s really cold out in the winter you might want to drive to some of the farther places. The neighborhood is nice and very close to Holy Donut. There is a bunch of information in the form of brochures and pamphlets and Ben and Daniel are very responsive by message if you ever need anything or have any questions. The whole appt is very clean and cozy, the only thing I would change is to maybe have different pillows. The pillows on the bed are pretty hard/dense so if you’re not the type to prefer that type of pillow it could be difficult to get comfortable. (Disclaimer there may be some different extra pillows in the closet , I didn’t check but if there is then disregard this part). Overall Portland is a great city and we hope to be back soon! We plan on trying to stay at Daniel and Bens place next time we are around.

This is my third time staying in Portland, the first time was a hotel and this is my second Airbnb and I've got to give this one the best review for location. If you want a very walkable vacation, stay here. It's very clean, cute and cozy and so conveniently located to entertainment, food and bars whatever time of day you're looking for them.

The location of this apartment really can’t be beat. Convenient to all that downtown Portland has to offer. As others have noted, the space has some quirks but for a pair of folks under 5’3 it was just fine! We worried some about the one hour parking signs but left our car on the street all day on Saturday without an issue.

This is an adorable loft that’s literally a five minute walk from great restaurants and cafes. Everything was perfectly clean and the layout of the apartment makes it feel very spacious. Had a great first experience in Portland and we can’t wait to come back!

Lovely apartment in an historic neighborhood. Very quiet area. Right near a beautiful park. Our stay included ice skating there with our grandson! There's also a farmer's market in the spring/summer/fall. The apartment is just a few blocks from the main strip, Congress Avenue, loaded with restaurants, book stores, antique shops and other amenities. The furnishings create a calm atmosphere, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is great to work in. Very light and airy overall. Highly recommended. The hosts are super responsive to queries.

The space was clean, well styled, and had the necessities we were looking for (body wash, tea, extra blankets for example.) Check in was super easy and parking was convenient.

Super convenient location, and what you see in the photos is what you get. Very comfortable, clean, relaxing apartment, with very handy on-site parking.

Perfect isn’t even the word! It’s located at a walking distance to so many shops including hot suppa, boda and even a 7/11 for a late night bite. The place itself is awesome. Parking right out back, entrance steps away, kitchen was big with all the necessary things for a quick breakfast, living room was perfect size, roku on tv, bed was behind a wall but so perfectly well put - gave the right amount of privacy, the bathroom was very roomy although the shower itself is a little small still gets the job done, washer/dryer came in handy. Like i said perfect is not even the word! We will definitely be coming back. So much we didn’t get to do in our 3 days. Only a short 5-10 min drive to some great water view restaurants - Luke’s, DiMillos. Brian was super quick to respond when we needed an extra hour to check out.

We rented this cottage for my niece and her young family. From Florida, they wanted to see Maine in the winter. The house, with the bunk bed room, was the perfect size for them. A perfect place to return to after a day of beach walks, ice skating and sledding. They slept well. I hope they come back in summer to see Higgins in its real colors!

The Inn was in a great location from downtown! It was a bit cold during our stay but the walk into town took only 15 minutes. The Inn is definitely very quiet, so perfect if you want some peace and quiet during your trip. The room was spotless and the bathroom massive! Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Portland!

Katrina made our stay extremely comfortable! She was very easy to communicate with, and provided all of the information in detail for self check-in and check out. The inn is beautiful and clean, with very tasteful touches! We were visiting for a concert at the Cross Center, and were able to have easy transportation to and from in under ten minutes. Nick’s place was so close to downtown and an overall simple and clean stay which is exactly what we were looking for! He was very responsive during the booking process and though we did not reach out, I got the impression he would have driven us to his favorite spots himself. Excellent hospitality

I would highly recommend Tom’s place! The location is perfect. It’s right in the center of town, so you can walk to a bunch of restaurants and stores within just a few minutes. It was very clean, and he was quick to respond to any messages. All around great experience.

The loft is excellent, with a full kitchen. Parking is a big plus. The loft is located in the center of Portland, within walking distance to attractions. Host Tom quickly and clearly answers questions in correspondence. I recommend the loft unconditionally for a stop in Portland!

We had a great first Airbnb experience staying here. Parking was convenient and the location was right where we wanted to be in downtown. Bed was super comfortable and the TV was a nice size with streaming services. Everything felt brand new and clean. Will try to stay here again!

Tom’s place is beautiful and walking distance to all of Portland’s best spots. We loved using the Keurig in the morning and communication with Tom was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend this studio to anyone visiting Portland!

Tom's space was excellent. The apartment is cute and well furnished. It was a lovely spot for a romantic weekend getaway for me and my partner. If you're a light sleeper, the only downside is that the street it's on had a lot of vehicle noise, but this wasn't a big deal for us. The location was otherwise perfect. It was brilliant to be less than 10 minutes' walk from some of Portland's best restaurants in the old port. We didn't meet Tom, but he was very prompt in responding to my queries throughout the weekend.

Loved Marsha’s space. It was exactly as advertised. A lovely, bright, and cheerful room. Just what we needed for our weekend getaway. Highly recommend.

Marsha's directions were very clear on how to locate the key, which door to use and the general rules of the place. The room was very tide, and the unexpected view of the bay was a welcome surprise, would definitely stay here again.

This is the coziest and warmest space. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was just the cherry on top of a great room. The area is about a 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants and venues. Marsha and Krista were wonderful hosts that thought of everything :)

Great stay with Marsha - we appreciated the nice touches (e.g., coffee, tea). It was a ~15-20 minute walk to downtown Portland. Check in was easy and Marsha was communicative. The only downside is having to walk through the backyard in the snow and up a tiny staircase (as noted in the listing).

Katrina is a great host, the place was sparkling clean upon arrival. With it's cosy ambience, this place is perfect for a relaxing weekend away! Would definitely stay there again if ever in the Portland area.

This apartment is stylish, spacious, and just a few steps from congress street, one of the main downtown streets. It was a bit cold, but the space heater made a huge difference. 100% recommend staying here if you’re in Portland!

I am so impressed with this place; it was a beautiful space, very close to downtown but also easy to get to any of the main roads out of Portland, and such a great value. I loved having off-street parking and Katrina was very clear and quick with her directions and responses. I would love to stay here again!

Things were closed downtown, but all the while the loft was nice and cozy and had everything we needed! Nice coffee maker, basic cookware (pots, pans), and silverware as well as a roku and Alexa speaker :) it was super relaxing and a very nice place for a weekend getaway

Tom’s place made for a perfect two nights in Portland. The location is amazing and having a parking spot is really helpful. The apartment was clean and the loft bed was a great use of space. Light-filled and wonderfully located, Tom's loft was a great home base for Portland adventures. Tom was a great communicator, and facilitated an easy start/end to our stay. And that parking is included is such a bonus! Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The room was wonderful. I felt such peace being there. There was a private entrance and a private bath just next to the bedroom. There were extra toiletries provided both in the bathroom and the closet in the bedroom. I had packed hurriedly and forgotten a lot of things. There was also a Walgreen's very nearby, so I picked up additional items. A Lyft ride to more lively areas was only a few dollars.

Dennis’s house was great! Was quiet small but still way enough room for me and my wife to stay comfortably. Everything worked great, was clean, and checkin/check out was very simple. Amazing location within walking distance to center of downtown Portland. Was a great cheaper stay for the night!

The apt is really nice, the bed is super comfortable, and it's easily walkable to everything downtown. Ralph was really friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We are giving Ralph 5 stars even though we didn’t get to stay at his location due to unexpected maintenance issues with a furnace. However Ralph went above and beyond to make sure we got the trip we were looking forward to, he gave us number options to make sure we were able to find a suitable replacement. He gave us knowledge and places we need to see in the city. He was extremely hospitable and will for sure be booking another trip to Portland again soon to stay in Ralph’s air bnb!

Apartment was larger than expected. Well furnished and had more than we could ask for when it came to appliances. The apartment is walking distance to the main restaurants and bars but if you choose to drive Uber’s were cheap (5-7 dollars) for everywhere we needed to go. Ralph is a great host, I plan on coming back to this apartment for any future visits. Highly recommend.

Place was clean, well lit and extremely comfortable. Ample street parking and was located in a great area for walking to and from spots in Portland.

Ralph is fast to respond and offers great local tips in his welcome packet. The place is very well decorated and super clean. Only thing is 2 hour parking is enforced 9-5 Mon-Sat. for street parking. It didn't impact us, but just something to be aware about when staying longer.

Really enjoyed my time spent here. Had the pleasure of working with Palo who was quick to respond to every message I sent. Love that it has its own parking spot, and that it can be seen through the window. Not that one would have to worry about anything since it’s a nice area, just a plus for piece of mind; and since it’s located in such a great spot, you can pretty much just leave it there. Really clean and had a nice aesthetic. Would definitely come back, as well as recommend.

We were so pleased to stay in this space for our Portland getaway. Such a perfect location! Easily able to walk to the downtown area, and the parking space in the driveway is a major plus. We also loved the cleanliness and coziness of the space. Our hosts were also quick to communicate with us when we had a question, and check in was very easy. Definitely suggest this place. What a great location! We were able to walk to highly rated restaurants and Tandem coffee shop. Driving anywhere downtown took us less than 10 minutes. We were very pleased with our stay and would love to come back!!

Sameer has set the bar high for Airbnb expectations! His preparedness, detailed communicative responsiveness, and friendly honest demeanor made this first-time experience with Airbnb all the better. Sameer's responsiveness and the location of this condo and its views were what sealed the deal for me, the beach is literally behind the condo just some steps away and you can wake up to an unobstructed ocean view every single day. You can hear the crashing of the waves whenever you open the balcony doors, but you'll have silence when you close them. You can hear the music from the bar downstairs but it's bearable. If you come during the off-season though when the bar is closed though then it'll be pretty quiet throughout the whole day! Also, the balcony was impressively clean, I loved spending time sitting on the couch out on the balcony and taking in the beautiful day and night views of the ocean and the skies. With all the amenities provided, this condo felt like a vacation home, you had everything you needed in case you decide to buy groceries and save on some money from eating out. Despite the exterior looking a bit shabby, the interior of the condo was totally different and very clean. Having an in-unit washer and dryer was very convenient, along with being provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I'm so glad that I decided to take a chance on trying Airbnb and staying at this condo, I will definitely be staying here again in the near future! Thank you!

Location, location, location! Waking up to the beach when you first open your eyes, still in bed, is an amazing experience, even in winter. Sameer has decorated impeccably. The shower is state of the art. He also provides cable tv, washer/dryer, and dishes/stemware are categorized as casual or posh. Quite lovely all around.

The owner, Sameer is a great host and his condo is absolutely amazing. I loved every day and detail I spent there (7). Next time I travel to Maine, this condo will be my first choice. If you are thinking about booking, just do it, you won't be sorry.

Mitch and Tyra are a lovely couple and wonderful hosts. During my visit The Grey Lady's Parlor was furnished with a bed , couch and chair. Their home is very welcoming after a day out and about. Mitch provides information about whats going on in the community It's a nice beach community and the big city of Portland is very close by. It's a very short walk to the beach. If you are into hiking there are a few trails in the area . The combination of good people, location, a nice clean place and budget friendly makes this a must stay location. I would definitely stay here again.

Mitch and Tyra were wonderful hosts. They made me feel so welcome, even inviting me to join for Mitch's birthday brunch. They also offered to help with transportation into the Portland area as able, and provided me with helpful interventions when I got sick during my stay. Also, the value of the parlor is unbeatable and although I didn't have a 'room' so to speak, I still had the privacy I needed and they were very respectful.

Convenient location, and very clean. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Nice clean space close to the Airport. A 5-10 min drive from Downtown with lots of great food and drinks nearby.

From start to finish, communication with the host was excellent. Upon arriving, we felt the place far exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless and modern including the furniture, kitchen, kitchenware, bathroom etc. The host provided a pantry full of snacks (chips, chocolate, breakfast items, coffee, water, etc.). The Airbnb was in close proximity to all of Portland’s main attractions. Privacy was also not an issue and we felt very comfortable in the spacious apartment. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Portland and we’ll definitely stay when we’re back.

Marla was one of the best hosts I’ve had so far on air b n b. She accommodated my early check in and showed such hospitality! The driveway was cleared right away (we encountered a snow storm the night before). I would highly recommend this place for anyone stopping by Maine be it for one day or even an extended stay . I would definitely return again if I come back to Portland! It is nearby the airport and close enough to all the restaurants (ten min Lyft drive)
