My stay on the farm was magical! The house itself is full of charm - from the butterfly-printed settee in the sitting room to the clawfoot bathtub. When I arrived, John gave me a tour of the farm - the flowers, the chickens, the barns...amazing! And halfway through, the fluffy Stella joined in. Such a unique (URL HIDDEN) only regret was that I didn't have more time to join in on the happenings of the farm.

Stacey and her husband were extremely accommodating! The farm was quaint and lovely to walk around in the morning. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet getaway outside of Portland.

It was so great to stay with Stacy and John. Their farm is ideally located for tourism, everything is closed for visting and enjoying; Old Orchard, Portland, Ogunquit... We feel as at home in their house, they offered us milk, eggs, and organic fresh vegetables. We had our cosy bedroom and a living room.

Lauren and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Broadturn Farm in July. The property was a pleasant experience. Flowers, produce, livestock. Farmhands moving about. The room was very nice. Hardwood floors, fresh linens, an open breeze, large windows. We walked around the farm in the morning. At our own pace and choice. Stacy and John were very friendly and hospitable. Produce, granola, eggs and milk were offered. We will definitely return on our next trip to Portland. Sean H.

The house is gorgeous and easy to find and the space they have for guests is a light an airy sitting room and bedroom. Full access to the kitchen along with coffee and fresh ingredients from the farm. Really accommodating with our changing arrival time and allowed us to check out a bit later as well given that there weren't other guests coming in for the night. Great proximity to Portland and overall a relaxing vibe. I would definitely stay here again.

Our second visit after a year felt like returning home. Fresh organic produce, eggs, milk and a warm welcome from John, Stacy and Flora. A great kitchen for cooking and long discussion. Five stars, we plan to return in the fall.

Sigute is a very nice host, energetic and she makes a visit at the great old house a very special happening. We eat very good steak and special lobsters in the porcha with Sigute and other guests. Evenings to remember.

It is hosts like Sigute that lift Airbnb stays over the experiences that one may have in an hotel. The building is a two hundred year-old farm house with attached barn on over fifty acres. It is full of character and tastefully furnished in an eccentric, slightly worn, and charming fashion. The room we stayed in had a spacious closet and easily accommodated our needs. Easily accessible from downtown Portland--twenty minutes by car--or other places to explore, this is an ideal place to use as a base for venturing out, or simply relaxing. And then there is Sigute herself. Warm, charming, caring, and a great sense of humor to boot. There is always something going on. I can't recommend this place enough. One of the most memorable Airbnb stays we've ever had.

Sigute is a wonderful, wonderful host. She is so warm and welcoming! She greeted us with chilled lemon water and wine at the door and invited us onto her front porch to chat and provide recommendations on the area. She knows the area very well and gave us great recommendations. The home itself is in a beautiful setting with a lush green landscape that goes out for acres and acres. The home is very clean and comfortable, furnished in a style that fits it's 200 year old heritage. It's very quiet but not far from the local beaches (we went to Pine Point, which was beautiful, but Old Orchard Beach is very close as well) and an easy drive to Portland and Kennebunkport. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The wifi is easily accessible and though the home does not have A/C, there are fans and windows-- we slept very comfortably with just the cool night air and the fan going.

What a beautiful spot! I loved this old home and only a short drive to Portland. Sigute was warm and welcoming, wine in hand and cold water on a hot day upon our arrival. My girl loved the dog and running around the property. Just a heads up if traveling at this time of year, the mosquitos are awful!! Couldn't be outside without being attacked. The screened in porch was lovely and kept the mosquitos at bay. Wish we stayed longer!

Sigute greeted me with a warm smile and hug and I immediately felt welcomed at her lovely home. The accommodations were comfortable and charming, and you couldn't ask for a better host than Sigute. I would recommend her place to anyone that wants a stay in Maine with a European vibe.

The house was very nice, for a 200-year-old house. Host was very welcoming and accommodating, the house was clean and orderly, and the private road was very convenient to Portland and other local features. WiFi worked great. For a total cost that was about half what a motel would have cost, it was worth the money. Good place to stay near Portland on a budget.

Ellen and her husband were incredible! They were so kind and accommodating, made coffee and fresh muffins and bread in the morning, set up an outdoor firepit and "glamping" tent, and provided great recommendations for Portland. Their home was adorable, cleanly, and had all the ammenities you could need. The location was fantastic and close to the beach and Old Port. Highly recommend staying here for a wonderful weekend in Portland!

Ellen was very welcoming and accommodating. The house was charming, clean and comfortable. As a lifelong resident, she had many excellent recommendations. The drive to downtown Portland was easy. Overall, a great experience. And her black lab was wonderful.

Their house was adorable, their dog was adorable, they were adorable. The whole situation was just adorable. I felt like I was staying at a friend's parents house. Ellen even got us bagels and made the most amazing apple butter breakfast dessert (for lack of a better description) i've ever had in my life. We had to lovely nice in Hellen housing. Everything in the house was really adorable, from their dog to the banana bread they offered us, we had a wonderful time! The house is really close of everything you may need: grocery, beach, Portland downtown etc. The convenience gaves us a little bit of privacy where we relaxed. Ellen is a fantastic host. After a long journey travelling across the country, we were very tired and had a few arrival time setbacks. Ellen was more than accommodating and greeted us very warmly despite our arrival time being late at night. This is testament to her flexible approach to people's needs. We were welcomed by a very well appointed space and it was very homely and comfortable. There were delicious cookies on our arrival along with plenty of soft furnishings to relax into in the bedroom. In the sitting area there was a television, DVD player and a number of videos we could watch in comfortable lounge (URL HIDDEN) is a big and usable space with plenty of natural light. All in a tree lined property. The standard of furnishings was very high, much like a home away from home. The house was very clean and Ellen was always available and at hand to answer any questions or give us any advice about the area. And so, we felt exceptionally comfortable spending time and relaxing with her and her adorable dog Luck and her partner Garrett. All in all, if you are an experienced airbnb-er or brand new to using airbnb -- If Ellen's house is on your stop do not hesitate to book your stay with her. Because if your experience is anything like ours you will have a fantastic time no matter how long you stay.

Margaret's home is a great getaway. It was spacious and comfortable with a great deck and backyard. Great for dogs as she has a 20ft dog run in the back. It is on a somewhat busy road, but the noise does down at night. Overall great experience and would be great to come back!

Margaret's house was nice, clean, and well organized. The house is on a bit of a busier road, but had a private deck out back with a yard facing some woods, which was a nice area to sit and relax.

We really enjoyed our stay in Scarbourough! The house was super clean, full equiped, quiet and really pretty. We haven’t met the host, but we exchange some e-mails and they were all answered fast and nicely. She even left us a bundle of wood for the fireplace which was really nice of her! The house is near the beaches, the convenience store and few restaurants.

We cannot say enough about how GREAT it was staying with Jeanne-Marie and Tim during our first New England vacation. They were such gracious hosts and made us feel like their house was our house during our stay. The accomodations were truly comfy and warm, and the house is close to the beach and downtown Portland. Rooney the cat was an added bonus....friendliest tabby cat in the world!!

Jeanne-Marie and Tim were very well prepared their house, they were not present the first two days, but we met them the third day, they are very friendly and welcoming guest people, really extraordinary. Their house is beautiful and located in a quiet and well maintained area, near the ocean. We have enjoyed the outdoor Jacuzzi, in the winter with snow around it is fantastic. The house lacks nothing. It is a magical place and we have a lot of fun ay back without a doubt!

Tim was a most welcoming host and provided a relaxing and homey atmosphere. Communication was excellent. The listing and photos accurately depicted what is offered. The house is beautiful, in a great location and easy to find. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, quiet and spacious. Plenty of towels, great shower. Tim even provided us with coffee and muffins in the morning. We missed meeting Jeanne-Marie, but would recommend this listing to anyone who wants good value lodging in the Portland area.

My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay at Jeanne-Marie and Tim's. Jeanne-Marie was helpful with planning details leading up the trip, and Tim was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. Their home is very beautiful. We enjoyed using the hot tub, and their cat Rooney was a lot of fun. The bright sunroom in the back was a nice place to enjoy our morning coffee. Our trip was short and sweet, only one night, but it was enough to highly recommend to others interested! We wish we could have stayed longer.

A perfect night's rest after a long drive. We immediately relaxed in our lovely oversized room, complete with cozy reading corner. We enjoyed our morning cup of coffee on the gorgeous deck amongst the trees. No time for the hot tub but it sure looked inviting!

Fabulous place. Communication was excellent. No problems finding the house and easy parking outside. The house was amazing. Much much bigger inside than it looks. Immaculately clean. Great kitchen and appliances and comfy big sofas and plenty of dining space. Happy to recommend a stay here. Nothing but positives from me!

Very handy parking at this cute little cottage just down the road from Old Orchard Beach and with wonderful beach access just across the road. There are lots of summer cottages behind and around the home but it did not present a problem at all. The home is roomier than it looks from the outside and nicely decorated. If you have children, the futon beds would work well for them. The bed in the master bedroom was pretty comfy. The half bath and the very nice kitchen are big bonuses!! Kristina stands behind her rental and wants everyone to enjoy their stay. I would recommend this rental on the mere fact that Kristina is a fair and honest hostess!!

We had a wonderful stay at Sigut's house. She was very friendly with us and even if we had rent just one bedroom, she let it us to feel like at home. It was the first experience Airbnb for us and it was a happy one. During our vacation at Sigut's house, it was the birthday of one of my daughters. Sigut organized a little party for her and she offered her a little gift that my daughter adore it. We appreciated a lot her kindness.She offered us berry from her garden,coffee in every morning, wine( for me :)) and lemonade for my daughters. We appreciated also the land,the breakfast in the porch and the play of my daughters with the " doggy" We highly recommend staying here. Thank you very much for everything!

Sigute welcomed my friend and I very warmly! She showed us into her eclectic and charming home which had loads of charm. Offered me a lovely glass of red and got us situated in our upstairs room. The house was located on a very beautiful lot with views of a beautiful field, large trees and setting sun. We appreciated the proximity to Portland and the airport, while still feeling like we were in a rural setting. Sigute also made sure we woke up at 3:30am as we need to catch a very early flight. This was above and beyond. Our only regret is that we were rushed and couldn't take it all in.

This is a great place for a quiet holiday and near the beach!

Our paths never crossed with Julie but we felt her kind presence in the lovely flowers she left to yogurts in the fridge to the offer of a place to park at Higgins Beach in busy Cape Elizabeth. We were very comfortable and it was nice to be so close to Portland but be in a quiet neighborhood. We were delighted to discover that her house is really close to the freeway exit/entrance. And Portland, even in the height of the summer, turned out to be a pretty easy city in which to find parking so we just loved the short commute from her location to downtown Portland, which is all we had time to explore. Lived up to expectations.

Julie was a great host, and our stay was fantastic. I would have loved to have stayed even longer! The apartment is very nice, complete with a TV + Roku, a kitchen, fridge, and stove, and wood-burning stove for heat. It was an excellent stay that surpassed our expectations.

We loved this space! Only 12-15 minutes to downtown Portland, but a quiet, lovely place to recover from a day in the city. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and with appliances and amenities to make it a very comfortable stay. Close to a grocery store and lots of restaurants, and again we could not believe how close it actually was to downtown Portland! Julie was great to communicate with and helped make our stay very comfortable and convenient. We would definitely recommend!

I didn't get to meet Julie in person, but she responded very quickly to my inquiry about the room and any follow up questions I had and was very helpful. As a previous reviewer noted, you get so much more than just a room, this is basically a little apartment with everything you need. It was clean, towels and toiletries were provided, the Internet worked well, there is a big TV on which you can watch Netflix and multiple other options... Overall it's very comfortable! We arrived at night and left very early, so didn't get to see much of the neighborhood, but it was very quiet and seemed quite pretty, surrounded by lots of green. Another big plus is its close location to the airport - it took us about 15 minutes to drive there (early in the morning)! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Portland area.

What a ridiculously cute apartment space! We positively loved it. Very convenient to the city, and the price was excellent for what the space offered.

I really enjoyed staying here. The beach is a minute walk away and Pamela and Mark are great hosts. They also sell lobsters and steamers on the property so you don't have to go far for a good meal. The space is really well cared for. A positive for me was that the house is on the quiet end of Old Orchard Beach but if you love beach fanfare it was walkable for me or a trolley ride away.

We had a wonderful stay with Pam and Mark! They were such wonderful hosts and were happy to help answer questions. We even opted to have them cook up fresh clams and lobsters for our dinner one night and it was absolutely delicious. There are lots of tasty restaurants and tons of bars and shops in the area. We also checked out Old Port based on their suggestion and it was awesome. Quick 30 minute drive to tons of shopping, good eats and drinks. We can't wait to get back up here to visit again!

Mark and Pamela provided exactly what was in the description- A cozy studio right by the beach. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend and comfortably cooked breakfast everyday in the small kitchen. It is also walking distance to some great restaurants, and an easy drive to many attractions (including Portland). Mark was extremely friendly and always around if we had any questions or just to suggest things for us to do. The apt itself was very clean, private, and the perfect size for two people. I would go back and stay here in a heartbeat!

Pamela and her husband were great about recommending things to do, places to eat, and Lobster to eat from the store beneath the room! The accommodations were even nicer that it looked in pictures. While the room is not big it is very well designed. Pamela even had fresh cut flowers arranged for our arrival. The beach is so much closer, and nicer than I thought. We had coffee of the beach every morning and could just walk over for a short time or with all our stuff. They also had beach towels, and chairs, a full kitchen, grill and great deck. What a cute studio! It's the perfect location - right across from the beach. Neat as a pin and super comfy! It quiet and located on the property of Pamela's house with a big back yard & easy parking. Near everything and a great choice if you want to visit Scarborough or Portland. I was there for a family reunion and it was the perfect getaway where I was close enough to the family but had my own space to get space from them at night! Pamela is super nice and helpful.

This apartment was great for getting the best of both worlds in visiting Portland and the coastal beach towns to the south. It was clean and comfortable to come back to after visiting the beach and spending time in the city. It's super close to the beach and the hosts are kind enough to leave what you need to make your beach visit enjoyable (chairs and towels).

The studio was exactly as described and was perfect for our needs. Pamela left us coffee and creamer which was great for two early risers who need their coffee. Beach towels and chairs were also provided but the weather didn't cooperate for much beach time.

The flat was seconds from the beach, super clean, the hosts really friendly and helpful. It's a 30 min drive from the centre of Portland, and it's the perfect balance between a break in a pretty town and a stay at the beach. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
