Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Vous apprécierez votre séjour pour un vrai lit confortable (140x190), l'intimité de la chambre, la salle d'eau (avec douche et toilettes) et la cuisine équipée. Vous pourrez aussi vous détendre dans l'espace jacuzzi inclus dans votre séjour. Le linge de maison est fourni (draps, serviettes...). Vous avez la possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner dans la cuisine. La boulangerie se situe à quelques pas de la maison.

We stayed in Anna’s place in May (UK half term) it was 2 families plus grandparents. Anna’s space was large enough for everyone to have their own space and bathroom most had walk in wardrobes too. The pool, boules, and dart board were a big hit with the children aged 4-12. The photos don’t really do it justice! We enjoyed our stay Anna was very helpful and recommended places to visit. Highlights of the trip were the beach at Sète, kayaking the Pont du Gard and the burgers at Croquer la pie. Would 100% recommend but a car is a must.

Well located accommodation on the heights with a beautiful view. Very quiet, just the birds when you wake up, no noise. Very pleasant environment. Comfort bedding. Some technical problems with the electricity but very quickly resolved by Frederic who is very responsive. We will come back!

we had a great stay! the house is super comfortable, large, very well equipped, a decoration made with taste, very thoughtful amenities. a games room with everything that can be possible to have fun, and have a good time for young and old... our hosts were extremely kind and available, Gisou and Rolland are lovely and welcomed us with good bottles, Christmas decor, chocolates ...GREAT!!! That's so nice. the house is quiet, it's amazing as it's peaceful, and it's beautiful, we were able to admire the sunsets, a view of the Pont du Gard, wonderful!!! we struggled to leave so much that we loved this place. many activities around, beautiful villages to visit, horseback riding, walks, restaurants, ect... it's the perfect holiday spot: beautiful house and with everything, beautiful place, adorable hosts... what more could we ask for?

Mas Evalla – Charm, Heated Pool & Unique View

We (6 adults + 2 small children) had a dreamy stay here. All the spaces are beautifully designed and feel very cozy. Each bedroom has their own bathroom with sink and shower and two seperate living rooms leave more than enough room for everyone to relax. Obviously the pool was a highlight but so were all the outdoor spaces. We enjoyed lying in the shadow of the olive tree and loved the courtyard's atmospheric lightinstallations at night. We made great use of the outdoor kitchen and its dining area as well as the many different games (ping pong, darts, foosetable). There were always free parking spots right outside the property and we had a few friendly chats with neighbors and the owners living right next door. You can tell with how much care and attention to detail the owners have created this space and we felt right at home. We hope to be back!
