“We had a great time at this beautiful place. Although we stayed for two weeks it wasn’t nearly enough time. We felt really welcomed by Simon and Someraro. The house had everything you need to feel at home and a perfect size for us, including our dog. The view was just breathtaking and we couldn’t believe it every time we sat on the terrace or looked out of the window in the morning. Simon advised us about the surroundings and dog-friendly places whenever we needed. Special regards also to cardini’s which became our favorite restaurant within two visits. We will be back!”
Villa that faces directly on the gorgeous Lake Orta. The house is nestled in a nice garden, the perfect place to spend a relaxing day on the banks of the most romantic of Italian lakes! Is it very close to many beautiful places like Orta St. Giulio, Lake Maggiore with Stresa, Lake Mergozzo, Vigezzo Valley, Strona Valley with Campello Monti, Valsesia and many more. It is only 50 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport and 1 hour and 15 minutes to Milan city center. Private parking ;
“My family and I had a fantastic stay at Franco's villa. When we arrived at the villa, Franco welcomed us personally and showed us around his property - and what a property that is! The villa is quite big, really cozy, and furnished with attention to detail. There is pretty much everything you could ever need on a vacation: a big and fully equipped kitchen, a high-ceiling living room with a sizable sofa (on which one person could sleep), two nice bathrooms (one on each floor) and two upstairs bedrooms which are both equipped with mosquito nets hanging from the ceilings above the double beds (with continuous mattresses). The balcony overlooking the lake is simply fantastic and we thorougly enjoyed having breakfast there every morning. The unique selling point of Franco's property is the garden of course. The garden is surprisingly spacious and beautifully landscaped with several trees that provide shade during the day - and it directly borders on the lake. Getting into the (clean) water is as easy as climbing down two steps of a typical pool ladder. However, if you have limited mobility getting back up might turn out to be a bit challenging because the ladder does not fully reach down to the ground (the water is quite shallow near the ladder though, so it's still manageable). Although the main road and train tracks are just behind Franco's house the garden is relaxingly quiet - you can actually just forget the world around you while lying there in the sun on a deck chair. The garden is especially beautiful when the sun starts setting behind the mountain range on the opposite side of the lake which leads to the garden being bathed spectacularly in golden sunlight. During our stay Franco's very likeable family joined us in the garden on two occasions and it was very nice to get to know them a little. Checking-out was as simple as possible. Communication with Franco was always quick and clear so there were no surprises. All in all I highly recommend Franco as a host and his villa for a vacation at Lake Orta.”
Hi! My hut is an old building made by stone completely restored, quiet, with running water, solar electricity, and the best view you can image. Alpe Aurelio is a peaceful oasis in the nature, close to the Parco Nazionale Val Grande, and...we have one more hut!: https://www.airbnb.it/rooms/17273277?preview HAVE A LOOK!
“Andreas Berghütte is beautifully hidden in the forest and yet completely free with a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore. The check-in was very uncomplicated, as Andrea picked us up in Miazzina and climbed with us to the hut. On the way he gave us a lot of information about the landscape, family and hut in very good English. The days in the hut were very relaxed and restful, our dog also enjoyed the time very much, as they run free all day could. We particularly liked the many small details, such as the outdoor shower, the beautiful old furniture and the simple supply of wine. The absolute highlight: filtered drinking water comes from all pipes, inside and outside. We'd love to come back, maybe in autumn.”
