New handcrafted cedar log cabin. This tiny cabin is 40 feet from Caribou lake. Full kitchen, bathroom with shower, in floor heat, three season screen porch. If you’re intrigued with tiny living this is the place you can try it out. Year round cabin for two. Swim, fish, hike, mountain bike in the summer, hunt in the fall, cross county ski the Suomi hills in the winter and mushroom hunt and fish in the spring. A great place to get away from it all.
“Peg and Tim's place is so beautiful. It's tucked away in the Chippewa National Forest and has hiking/snowmobile trails that are 5 minutes walking from the cabin. The cabin is right on the Caribou Lake and has really pretty views of the sunset at night. My boyfriend and I enjoyed using the canoe and sitting on the dock playing cards. Her place is dog friendly, and my dog loved exploring the many trails and being in nature. Peg and Tim's place is smack dab in the middle of nature, but you have all the amenities you would want - running (hot! :)) water, indoor toilet, full kitchen, electricity, wifi. The cabin interior is so cozy and cute. My boyfriend and I went in springtime, so we had one week with wintery weather and one week with super nice, warm weather. It was IDEAL for both. Peg and Tim are so incredibly responsive, friendly, helpful, and all around wonderful. They will make sure you are comfortable but also give guests their space and privacy! I would go back in a heartbeat and would recommend their place to anyone. Whether you 100% love nature or feel a little apprehensive about being in the outdoors, Peg and Tim's place offers the best of both worlds.”
This cozy 1 bedroom cabin sit 50 feet from the shores of amazing Caribou lake with clarity of up to 40 feet and a depth of 160 feet. One of the few lakes that still offer habitat for Lake trout. This one bedroom cabin has a deck overlooking the lake, a fireplace, full kitchen and sleeps up to 5 or 6. A great place for a romantic retreat, and perfect for a small family or a few friends. Fantastic swimming, fishing and hiking trails right out your door. We’ll equipped kitchen, but no oil.
“This cabin is absolutely stunning and such an amazing escape from the city life. My friends and I were shocked with how clear the lake is! Never seen a lake so clear. The stars are amazing at night and sitting on the dock was perfect for the meteor shower we got to witness. There are so many boats available for use here and it was so fun to get out on the water. Amazing hosts with quick responses and hospitality.”
A comfortable lake home with 4 roomy bedrooms. We are on Dora Lake in North Central Minnesota. A great place to relax, watch the sunset or hold a family gathering. Enjoy the very private lake lot located in the Chippewa National Forest. The Dora Lake Fishing Bridge is just down the road and we are 3 miles from the Lost Forty Area. Fishing, boating and wildlife viewing are highlights of this area, with 3 rivers connecting to Dora Lake. Set aside your every-day life and come relax by the lake.
“A fabulous place to experience a true “Up North” Minnesota experience, this cabin is cozy and very spacious. It feels like you’re staying with family, but without having them actually there. We enjoyed the proximity to State Parks, the beautiful lake, and all the amenities available at the home. We brought all our own groceries with, which I don’t always do on this type of trip, but I do recommend it here as there are not any grocery stores nearby. The kitchen contained every dish and tool one would need for cooking or baking almost anything though, and grilling on the deck was a breeze. It is VERY quiet here. At night, you can hear the critters splashing around on the water. We loved it. Bring bug spray!”
