Holiday rentals with a kayak in Sand Lake

I spent the weekend at their cabin and really enjoyed the stay. Did some cooking in their kitchen and they had every kitchen utensil I needed to make a quality 3 course meal. Would definitely stay again.

This January, I hosted a few wholesale clients from Chicago here and couldn’t have asked for a better space. The cabin offered breathtaking sunrises, and the kitchen was perfect for making a delicious beef stew in the crockpot—a warm and hearty treat during the cold spell when the temperature didn’t climb above 5 degrees until our last day. The cabin was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable setting for my team’s annual planning offsite. The views of the Northwoods were stunning, making it a fantastic spot to unwind and connect with both nature and our goals. Mark’s cabin is a gem in the heart of Wisconsin, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene retreat. Thank you, Mark, for creating such a wonderful space to host guests!

cute little home with a beautiful lake view. The view from the bedroom in the mornings is stunning. Jonathan was very responsive & helpful the entire trip, answering any questions we had! We would love to come back again!

Perfect place for our quick mini-moon getaway. Nice and cozy on a quiet part of the lake, where I was able to fish off the dock (caught a few including a bass and a northern) while my wife and dog watched while reading a book from the comfy outdoor lounge chairs. The house had everything we needed to cook a few meals and a nice coffee maker for our morning coffee and tea. The house was also extremely clean and everything was in working order. Hayward itself had plenty to do, despite us being about a week early for most of the summer activities. Donna was a very easy host to work with. She reached out prior to our trip with instructions for check-in. She also proactively reached out to make sure everything was going smoothly. We would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a very nice, dog friendly, stay on the lake.

The house was super clean, exactly as described. Peaceful, quiet area. The beach areas were very nice and we had them to ourselves basically. The golf course was great and the PAR3 course was great for the kids to try. Caught tons of fish straight from the shore, the club house is walkable, overall it was great, would highly recommend.

The Birchview suite was a super cute cottage! Everything was provided and it made it easy to cook and live comfortably. The only thing I want to bring up to others looking to rent here, be sure to read the description carefully. Unfortunately we didn’t realize there would be another family downstairs. Our mistake for not reading it carefully. I was uncomfortable using the deck or fire pit area knowing there were others right downstairs. We also worried about making too much noise with the tv or walking around in the early am. It would be a great place to rent with a big family where you know who is downstairs. But other than that it’s a great place to stay!

Enjoyed the welcoming by hosts, coziness, peaceful and private location near Half Moon lake. Beautiful sunsets, night sky, and nearby hiking trails we explored. Provides necessary amenities for a very enjoyable stay! Look forward to booking again.

Stacy’s place was cute and cozy for our five person group. We especially loved the assortment of games and puzzles that were available and the family history of the cabin!

We had a wonderful visit. The cabin is beautiful and really well designed. Our kids loved the bunk beds, the canoe, the firepit and the boardgames. We loved the peacefulness of the area and the beautiful views.

My husband and two boys came here to visit. The inside was everything you could need with lots of sleeping arrangements. The outside was phenomenal. Large outdoor area, two docks, close to boat ramp, lots of off the doc fishing. the kitchen was well stocked. We were fortunate to have great weather, but they had other things to do in town in case the weather was bad. Aimee was very responsive. We have never visited an AirBNB twice because we like to try new things, but we would absolutely come back here.

Thank you again for another beautiful stay Bethany. The weather was warm enough this time where we got to enjoy smores on the campfire and sat on the dock to watch the beautiful northern lights play across the sky. We very much enjoyed our stay at The Grove! There were so many things that they have thought of to make you feel at home during your stay. Our kids LOVED the kid kayaks! We enjoyed watching them in the calm bay or paddle boarding with them. So much fun for our entire family! We will be back.

We don't have a single complaint everything was as described. The view was fantastic and the setting was as if we were in the middle of the wilderness. It was quiet and the wildlife was amazing from loons, turtles, fish and frogs to beaver, deer, mink, and a diverse host of woodland animals. If you are looking for a Northwoods stay rich in wildlife, solitude, and serenity this is the place. A paddle on the Bay out back brings you into a world that is hard to find in WI without a long hike into a national forest wilderness lake.

Wow! This was my first Airbnb stay and Keriann set the bar high. She thought of every amenity a guest might need, and then thought of more. The cottage offered a quiet place to stay with a beautiful lakeside view. We enjoyed listening to the resident eagles chattering from their nearby nest and watching them soar to find their next meal. The two-level deck is huge and offered a wonderful space for us to gather. Everything inside the home was labeled, so we could easily find anything we were looking for. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home and there was an ample supply of extra pillows and blankets. Our only regret was booking 2 nights instead of many more. Keriann was so kind and so responsive to help us secure our last minute reservation. She is a gem of a host. Her commitment to provide the highest level of hospitality at her property is unmatched. We can’t wait to book our next visit to Eagle Crest Cottage!

We had a great experience. The house appeared to be new. We were staying there off-season and would love to go back when we could use the lake. Three bedroom and three bathroom was great for everyone. Will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we visit the Hayward area.

First stay ever with just myself and my children and grandson, best vacation ever. Easy water access made kayaking/ water board so convenient and just that more enjoyable. The cottage was so cozy and comfortable with most everything you need as far as kitchen/ bathroom amenities. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Repeat visitors at this amazing cabin in the North Woods of Wisconsin. The accommodations were fantastic, offering perfect blend of comfort with a taste of cabin life. Host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring all needs were met and questions answered. Hospitality and welcome basket made stay memorable. highly recommend the place for anyone looking for great getaway with an exceptional host. I have already rebooked for the following year 🙂

This is our third year renting Cindy’s place. It is do cozy and clean. A well setup kitchen for cooking. A great deck overlooking the river. We plan to come back again.

Great house, we really enjoyed our stay! However, the hot tub didn’t work for two out of the three days. The host promised to refund part of the money — I hope they do. Still giving it an excellent rating and would recommend to everyone!
