Pet-friendly holiday rentals in São Miguel Island

Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

We had a very nice stay. We liked the accommodation very much, especially the great garden and the quiet location. Also very suitable with a child. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating :)

We had the best time at Maria‘s cozy cottage. You can enjoy the big garden and a great view over the ocean, accompanied by two lovely cats. The cottage is small but you have everything you need. André, Maria and her husband are very friendly. We had some nice conversations with them. We would love to visit this place again soon!

The check-in was extremely easy and flexible, with the key stored in a safe. Joana had proactively provided us with all the relevant information beforehand. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Maria Madalena. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and modernly furnished—we felt right at home! Additionally, a selection of delicious local products awaited us. We were able to park our car directly in front of the door on the sidewalk. We had an incredibly beautiful week in Mosteiros and would gladly come back anytime. Muito obrigado, Maria Madalena and Joana!

We felt right at home with Jéssica. When we arrived at the accommodation, we were greeted with wine, delicious cheese, fruits and more. The place was as described and clean. The apartment is well located, you have your peace, shopping facilities are available and everything is easily accessible by car. Unfortunately, the oven had problems and Jéssica had a new one installed the very next day. The communication was very good and we were always helped quickly. Unfortunately, the bed is a bit uncomfortable, the rest was perfect. We enjoyed the time very much.

Very good communicators, our check in, check out and stay were without incident. The home is spacious, lovely and well -situated. Great value and great place.

Peaceful stay with beautiful views We had a very pleasant stay at this holiday home on the Azores. The house is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, which made the atmosphere feel calm and refreshing. One of the highlights was definitely the view, you can see the hills and ocean in the distance, and it’s especially beautiful in the early morning or at sunset. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We really appreciated the quiet setting, away from the more crowded parts of the island. Overall, a great spot to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Azores.

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

Alexandra is the best host you can imagine. She is very friendly and reliable. The house is fantastic and well divided. The kids had fun with the animals. I recommend booking and would love to come back again and again.

My stay at this Airbnb property was absolutely wonderful! One of the highlights was the clean and spacious swimming pool. It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a lovely oasis to soak up the sun. The house was equipped with everything needed for daily life, from kitchen essentials to cozy living spaces. It was clear that the host had thought of everything to make guests feel at home. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay!

Francisco immediately made us feel at home in his air bnb. He offered great recommendations for us to see the island and had everything we could need during our stay. The place was clean and less than a 10 min drive to the city center.

Accommodation with all the necessities near the sea and great viewpoints. Recommended.

This place was incredible. Very scenic and peaceful. We loved the sounds of the animals, the cows and the odd cat that would show up. This house was in pristine condition and very cozy. I’ve never had a more informative and smooth check in anywhere. The pool was exceptionally warm and perfect if you have kids. We would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Maria was a wonderful host. Great communication and friendly. She not only let us check-in early but she allowed us to leave our luggage when checking out due to our flight being delayed. The place looks exactly like the pictures. For anyone with mobility issues please be aware that there is a flight of stairs up to the house when you enter, plus there are stairs up to 4 bedrooms. The outside space had amazing views, and if the weather cooperates it’s a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. We were unfortunate that the weather was not the best. I recommend Maria’s house.

We had a very nice stay at this property. It's much more spacious than we anticipated. We had the whole property to ourselves. Some things we wish we had known is that they did not provide any cooking ingredients. Although they left complimentary tea, coffee, wine, crackers and butter, which was nice, but we had to purchase our own cooking oil, salt and pepper; and left what we didn't use for future guests. Also note they do not provide additional toilet paper or paper towel. We asked and was told that guests would need to buy their own. If you come at the end of May and beginning of June, be warned there were "fireworks" going off at spontaneous times of the day or night. We assumed they were fireworks, but it sounded more like cannons going off. We think they were celebrating a recent holiday. Overall, we enjoyed this accommodation and would recommend it to others.

Very good welcome, we arrived a little late but Carlos was waiting for us.. Accommodation is well located with a beautiful view very well equipped. It has everything you need. Carlos was very attentive and attentive to our well-being. I highly recommend it.. The sunset in the evening on the terrace is very pleasant!! Thanks again to Carlos for hosting us!

We were looking to enjoy the amazing coast daily on foot and this spot was perfect. Very little elevation change to walk a 3 mile loop each day while enjoying the beauty of the coast from one end of town to the other. Beautiful sunset at the beach just steps away! The locals were very friendly and Andre will take the best of care to make sure you have an equally enjoyable experience!

Exactly as described. Celia met us there and it was Perfect check in. Comfortable, clean apartment. 20 minute walk to centre. Local bus stop within a few minutes walk. Some noise in the evenings but just day to day noise from the local community. Night time was quiet. We would stay again

We spent a month at Casa Sol Nascente with our little dog. The spaces are very large and have everything you need. We particularly appreciated the ocean view from the garden and the windows of the house. We liked the location very much as it was far from the town and very quiet, with very little noise and disturbance. However, it could be a problem without a car.

The accommodation is as described, very clean and with everything you may need. They were very attentive at all times, sending local recommendations and caring about what we might need. In addition to some basics for the first day, each morning they left us freshly baked bread at the door: perfect for making sandwiches and starting the day on the road. Thank you very much Rui and Octavia!!! I would have loved to stop by to say goodbye, but we fell asleep and were late to the airport. 😅 The neighborhood, as they indicate, is humble but we were very comfortable at all times. Very respectful and friendly neighbors. Find out before you go to align travel expectations. Great quality/price, we will definitely repeat 😊

Great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and all attractions in ponta delgada. Central location on the island and able to drive anywhere on the island within 45 minutes. Extremely convenient to have a private parking space too. Unit was very clean and beds were comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more, excellent experience.
