Villa holiday rentals in São Miguel Island

Amaaaazing place! The house is huge, fully equipped with everything you may need and more! The views are one of a kind: mountains, ocean, green everywhere. Wake up to the sound of birds, beautiful evenings watching the sunset. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Communication was on point, friendly and fast. Everything exceeded our expectation. Best value for money in all Azores.

Very, very great house, not quite new and therefore some signs of old age, but nothing engrossing. Very well equiped kitchen. The owner Ana was personally on site when we arrived. She had bought a lot of fresh food and cooked a very good soup on our arrival in the evening. Ana is a wonderful host, we felt immediately welcome. She showed us all the things we needed to know in the house. Since it was relatively cool and windy in the Azores during our stay, we particularly appreciated the fireplace in the house. There was also plenty of wood. The place Mosteiros is very nice and the surf in the cliffs right in front of the house is exceptional and can be seen from the couch. A very good local restaurant with excellent fish offer is in walking distance.

Very nice big house, with modern ammenities and close by parking space. The view from the rooftop is very good, with a large section of ocean in the horizon, the islet of V. F. do campo and the mountains behind it, with a good view of the peace sanctuary (i may be butchering that translation, sorry). Definitely worth the price.

The place was lovely. It looked exactly like the photos and was very large and modern. There was everything we needed. We especially liked that everything is air-conditioned, a washing machine is available and the water warms up quickly. César was easy to reach, thanks for everything!

I am very picky and can say Max and Maria’s home was great! We were 3 couples with 3 young men (18 and 20 years old). The house has a great terrace where a morning coffee felt extra special. The kitchen was well stocked. Also were the bathroom and laundry. Has a pizzeria, a restaurant and a supermarket at walking distance. We had 3 cars and we had enough space to park them inside their driveway. All of us enjoyed our stay and everyone loved our stay. Max and Maria were great.

João's place was a great home base for our Azores adventure. It's a nice central location on the island, and a beautiful house and area. The whole place was spotless and the kitchen was great for making breakfast and coffee. There is a small grocery store within walking distance, but otherwise a car is required for the area so thankfully parking was very easy. Highly recommended!

Very spacious villa with breathtaking ocean views, we had a great vacation for 6, the beds are very comfortable, we will gladly come back. For those who are sensitive to daylight, don't forget to take a night mask because for now the curtains are not very blackout. Thank you to Mauro and Ana for the accommodation and communication during the stay.

It was a pleasure to stay at English house. The house is conveniently located close to everything. It is very spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts provide clear instructions for everything along with excellent local recommendations. They are very responsive and accommodating.

A perfect space for two couples to enjoy a comfortable space and a good central location on the island to experience and explore. We enjoyed relaxed evenings in the hot tub! Joao was a lovely and responsive host and went the extra mile for us to be comfortable.

Traveling as a family of 5 and our stay could not have been more perfect! Definitely one of our favorite Airbnbs. We loved the location, felt safe, private yet easily accessible to everything- perfect spot on the island to explore- rental car a must. Lagoa is a cute little town with great nearby restaurants and cafes. The beds were very comfortable, spacious layout, great washer/ dryer and we felt like we were staying in a mini castle! It’s hard to describe the beauty of the views from the terraces but drinking tea in the morning and sitting outside was the best way to start each day and a feeling I hope stays with me. Maria left delicious treats that were very much appreciated on arrival. We will think back fondly on our trip to Sao Miguel and are grateful we had the opportunity to stay here! We will never forget it and hope to return one day!

We had a great stay at this modern Airbnb in São Miguel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Margarida was a fantastic host, warm, responsive and accommodating. The property was spotless, well maintained and perfectly located for exploring. One of the highlights was the outdoor space, with a pool and a great area for cooking and dining alfresco. It was a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Our host also left us a thoughtful note with a bottle of wine, fresh fruit,local bread and coffee and tea. Such a kind touch. . We also really appreciated the complementary midweek cleaning, which kept everything fresh and comfortable throughout our stay. The house was well stocked with linens and all the kitchen essentials we needed. The location was ideal. Peaceful and private yet within easy reach of the island highlights. After exploring it was nice to come back to a home that included off street parking. We can't recommend this place enough!

If I could give six stars I would. Here's why: The house is modern, airy, well-appointed, bright and stylishly decorated. All fixtures functioned flawlessly and we never wanted for appliances, supplies or a utensil. The floor to ceiling windows of the main floor offered all-day views of the stunning ocean and countryside. The location can't be beat, with easy walking to the swimming pools, markets, and the numerous excellent restaurants in town. Despite its centrality, it felt private, safe, and peaceful. Plus, being central on the island, no attraction was ever far away. But the most appealing part of the experience was the graciousness of our host Pedro. Always ready with an answer, suggestion, and willing to help with whatever was asked. He communicated quickly and kindly, and as we sensed from pretty much all of the native Azoreans we met, truly loved Sao Miguel and wanted to share it with us. Could not ask for a better experience. Look forward to coming back!

Accomodation for 8 people have been good.

Excellent house for our extended family group of 8. The pool is not heated so it’s a bit cold, but the backyard is very peaceful and the house is well equipped and a great home base to explore the island. It’s right outside Ponta Delgada and easy to pop into town. Highly recommend.

We had a large family stay at the house, 8 adults and 4 children. There was another bedroom with 2 double beds for the kids and 4 separate bedrooms with queen sized mattresses. Our stay overall was great. The host was great and location/view of the home was great. There were some things that can be improved. As a large family we could not eat together because the dining table only had 6 chairs. Our first night, we barely had towels. I contacted the host the next morning and he brought 8 more towels that day. The kitchen needs some more dishes like bowls for cereal and mugs. There were only 3 mugs. The light inside the pool did not work and probably the most frustrating was the lights outside work on a timer. We came home around midnight most days, and it was completely dark with no way of turning the lights on. It would be nice to lounge outside but not possible. I recommend increasing that time to 3am when guests are staying. Overall great stay, just needs some tweaks. Tiago was great

Roberto was kind enough to meet us at the marina and we followed him to his place. Spectacular view of the ocean and harbor. A short 5 minute drive to great restaurants and a grocery store with everything you need. Great sunsets.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our party. We are two families traveling together with 3 children (age 6-9). The inside bedrooms were enough for us to spread out and the outside space is unbearable. The pool, stone arches, green space and rooftop deck were great spaces for morning reading for adults and afternoon playing for the kids. The back patio was great for playing cards and outside dinner. We had two questions while visiting and Francisco was quick to respond and so polite. We would 100% recommend this air bnb to anyone! The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. Great place location was easy to get everywhere

What a beautiful place to stay. Great location for exploring the rest of the island. We really appreciated the welcome basket, the comfy beds and the great shower Just a few minutes walk from the ocean. I was the only one in our group who was brave enough to get into the pool (not heated) but we were there during a cloudy time. that was not super warm. it would be totally refreshing in the summer!

This was an amazing place to stay. Incredible views and a great base to explore the west part of the island from. Just need to watch the hot water with the solar. We ran out over a couple of cloudy days. Will definitely be back. Carlos was responsive and helpful

Such an amazing place to stay, very private with stunning views. The house is gorgeous!

Carlos’s place was as described. It was very clean and had all the necessities. Carlos was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions I had. It was fairly easy to locate his family home with GPS. It was approximately 1 hour from Ponta Delgada. The little town was quaint and authentic. I would love to visit again.

This home was absolutely immaculate—each room was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. The outdoor area, including the pool, was equally impressive and provided a perfect setting for relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The host went above and beyond by providing a few thoughtful essentials such as butter, cheese, bread, and milk—an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture. Instructions for the property were clear, and communication was prompt and helpful throughout. Set in a beautifully historic area, this modern accommodation offered both comfort and charm. We are grateful for a truly enjoyable experience—thank you!
