Holiday rentals with breakfast in Sarandë

Hidden gem in Gjirokaster, away from the noise, but walkable to the castle and bazaar. House and grounds are just beautiful and the experience of staying in a three hundred year old building is not to be missed. Plenty of beds, two tiny full baths, and an amazing breakfast in the courtyard. Just fantastic. Make sure to follow the markers to Kubeja, as gps gets a little tricky in the neighborhoods.

I had a great time and if I were to return to the area I would definitely consider coming back here. The accommodation is near the center of Permet, there are the main amenities and the location is quiet. Shanas' grandmother welcomed us, a delightful person who speaks only Albanian. There were minor glitches, plumbing issues, and no blinds or curtains for the night. As negligible things , overall the judgment remains very positive . Thanks and see you next time

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

Ci ha accolto la madre di Anna che anche non parlando la nostra lingua è stata super carina e disponibile in tutto. È stato come essere a casa di nonna. Ci sono 3 bagni e la cucina molto grande per mangiare tutti insieme. Giardino accogliente con tanti gattini. Posizione top per spostarsi nella regione di himare (la più bella per spiagge). Lontano da caos e movida perfetta per chi vuole una location rilassata e carina. Ristoranti molto buoni nei dintorni.

A great place to experience Gjirokaster— close to old city, with a view of the castle. Diana provides breakfast as well. Make sure you reach out before and confirm details for an easy check-in.

Was a great village of true albania.Very quiet place.Only thing is that you have to drive 10km without asphalt which was ok for me

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sie ist ruhig gelegen, aber man ist trotzdem relativ schnell fußläufig im Zentrum von Gijrokaster. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war sehr lecker und sättigend. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Umgebung, genauso wie vom Balkon unseres Zimmers aus. Wir konnten in einer Garage direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft parken. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Amazing location and host, really clean apartment and right by the beach. Felt really safe and the whole atmosphere of the place just felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be staying here again if I’m ever in Albania. Highly recommend :)

Den Weg zum Haus haben wir verpasst, wir landeten oberhalb von der Unterkunft. 5 Frauen haben wir gefragt, wie kommen wir zum Haus. Gleich nebenan wohnte eine Dame, sie kam promt zur Hilfe, setzte sich neben mir ins Auto und fuhren wir zusammen zum Hauseingang. Diese liebevolle Hilfe und Empfang werden wir nie vergessen. Wir haben Zamira persönlich nicht getroffen, dafür aber ihre wunderbare Mutter. Sie hat uns umgesorgt, als wären wir ein Teil ihre Familie. Und ihre Kochkünste beim Frühstück war einfach Erstklasse. Ich habe sogar ein Bügeleisen ausgelehnt bekommen. Das Haus liegt ein wenig entfernt von Zentrum von Saranda, Busverbindung gibts in der Nähe... Das Zimmer mit Galerie bot uns alles, was wir benötigt haben. Sauberkeit und Ruhe . Alles war perfekt. Wenn ich wieder in diese Richtung unterwegs sein werde, werde nur hier übernachten. Vielen Dank

Fantastisk ophold. Fine værelser som var totalt rene. Får min varmeste anbefaling. Værten var rigtig sød til at komme med gode forslag til hvad vi skulle bruge vores tid på i Albanien.

We lived in the ‚Honeymoon suite, very romantic. Everything is new and pretty much clean. But the very best is Brunas hospitality. She is a warm hearted person always looking for you and your welfare. Traditional homemade Breakfast whenever you ask for. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay. We can highly recommend this place.

Süßes kleines Zimmer mit Bad. Schöne und ruhige Umgebung. Die Kommunikation verlief sehr gut. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und selbstgemacht! Shampoo und Duschgel waren nicht vorhanden, aber wir hatten etwas dabei. Die Toilettenspülung hat am Ende nicht mehr ganz so gut funktioniert (es kam kaum Wasser und man musste lange warten bis zum nächsten Spülen). Man braucht zu Fuß ca 35 Minuten zum Strand, ist dafür aber direkt neben der Burg. Zum kochen reicht die kleine Küche meiner Meinung nach nicht aus. Dafür gibt es aber ein paar Restaurants in der Nähe oder am Strand. Alles in allem war es ein guter Aufenthalt und würden die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen, vor allem, wenn man es ruhig haben möchte.

Staying at Aphrodite garden was a wonderful experience! The hosts, the view, and the atmosphere was much more than to expect. Definitely, we would recommend a visit :)

We received a warm welcome from Sperios with a glass of Reiki. The property is his family home which has totally been renovated with views across the bay and up to the mountains . My favourite part was breakfast underneath the walnut tree with chickens in the garden . Booked for one night and stayed for three. Spiros did everything he could to make us feel welcome, great host, fabulous scenery, best part of the holiday so far. I wish him All the best of luck with his new venture.

Le logement : impeccable et vraiment beau avec de belles moulures en bois. Très typique et très agréable. Les hôtes : j ai rarement vu des gens si sympathiques. On était perdus dans la ville, ils sont venus nous chercher. Toujours à votre service. Vraiment de chouettes personnes. Et ils ont un excellent restaurant pour pas cher du tout (+/- 20€ pour deux personnes)
