“What a lovely country estate! The photos don't do justice to the elegance and atmosphere: the rooms are beautiful and really tastefully decorated. Super clean, not a speck of dust; it looks like newly renovated. We (1 adult + 4 kids) had booked 3 nights in August and are every day about 30 minutes from Cambremer to the sea (sandy beach) to Merville-Franceville or Cabourg. Madame Claude is warm and funny. Every morning she lovingly conjured up a varied, rich breakfast with homemade dishes: freshly baked marble cake, cheese curd cake with homemade mirabelle compote, chocolate croissants, cheese made by the neighbor, quark dishes with vanilla and caramelized apple pieces ... You have to go to Cambremer You should definitely go to the “Au p'tit Normand” restaurant: Few tables, a private atmosphere, the finest food, mom cooks in the kitchen. I hope we behaved well and were pleasant guests. -and that Madame Claude will take us in again;)”

“I really enjoyed my experience at Ulrike, a unique location, close to the city center, a moment of the countryside in the middle of the city. Large house that can accommodate several tenants without stepping on it, a hearty breakfast and share with "family", a warm welcome and effective advice for the road. I think I would come back to Ulrike if I made another trip to the area. Have a good experience.”

“We just finished 2 weeks and Serge's Pressoir and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Located just a 5-minute drive outside of Falaise (and specifically 5 minutes from the best boulangerie), as well as from the grocery store, we found that Serge's cider press was the perfect blend of escape and access to town amenities. The property is wonderful. The old stone pressoir is cool when it is hot and stays well insulated when it is cool. It is located by a nice pond where a family of 9 ducks just appeared and hung out for the last few days we were there. My wife had some work to do via the internet, and the internet worked just fine to accommodate Zoom meetings, and we were able to watch Netflix there. Also, I'm a history teacher, so if you're a fan of either medieval history or World War II history, there is simply no lack of great things to see and do around you. In Falaise itself, is William the Conqueror's castle, as well as the museum, memorial to the civilian victims of the Normandy campaign. So many of the villages around you figured into the war in some way, shape or form. Where Serge and Solange are, you're in the Canadian sector and near the Canadian (and Polish) military cemeteries. You are a scant 40 minutes from the Falaise Pocket memorial. Another 30 minutes gets you to Caen's major WWII museum as well as 45 minutes to Bayeux's museums for both D-Day and the Bayeux Tapestry. 10 minutes beyond Bayeux gets you to Gold beach and the Longues sur Mer Batteries. I mean, there is no end to the history you can access. Oh, and by the way, Serge brews his own quality cider using his own apples, and makes his own apple cider vinegar. We can't wait to get back there and, in fact, have already booked an additional stay. If you want a rustic escape, with easy access to town and friendly and accommodating hosts who live close by and are accessible, but respect your privacy, then Serge's lovely Pressoir is for you.”
