“This little slice of heaven is an amazing place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You arrive and are greeted by some stunning panoramic views of the mountains. There is a nice yard so you feel very secure on mountain. The cabin is so cozy and clean. Basically everything you can think of has been provided for you. The owners have even laid out snacks which is a very nice touch. Our favorite part of the vacation was stargazing on the porch, and watching the moonrise and sunrise. We are definitely planning a trip back. Thank you for opening your home to us.”

“Sharon’s place is just like staying overnight at your own grandma’s house! She’s sweet, tries to feed you, and genuinely cares about your stay. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves which included a bedroom, a private bathroom, and a spare room she turned into a mini dining/kitchen area. My young daughter and I came to Kentucky to visit Cumberland Falls State Park. I looked and looked for places to stay and all of them seemed so far away and ultra expensive. The state park had a lodge and cabins but were all booked. I had looked on Airbnb for places but I’ve only stayed at places where the entire place was mine. I had never stayed where the lessor was living in the same house. One evening my search results showed Sharon’s place. I liked how close it was to the park (approx 10 min), cost effective, and a sweet lady as the lessor. After reading a few reviews (and seeing the adorable picture of herself), I decided to book! I’m so glad I did! After a long and exhausting day at the park, it was nice to have Sharon’s place to come home to. She lives in a quiet, secluded wooded area. It honestly felt like we never left the park. Her place was clean, comfortable, and had lots of extra touches. She welcomed us warmly but also gave us our space. If we come back to this area, we will definitely be staying with Sharon again! A few tips of advice, any restaurants or grocery stores are 30-40 minutes away. Best bet for food is to bring your own or order from the park’s restaurant at the lodge and bring it back with you. Sharon supplies a mini frig, microwave, and other things to help with bringing your own food. Also, just to note, Sharon has internet but it doesn’t work the best in the bedroom. However, it works great in the spare room with the dining area and couch! There’s also no cell service. Also, there’s no TV (as listed) but we were so exhausted by time we got to her house we didn’t need or want to watch one. I was also concerned about the upstairs being too hot but it was perfectly fine. The AC unit she has in the bedroom worked great for us!”
