Our yurt (30ft. dia.) is rustic, beautiful, quiet, in deep woods with deck overlooking pond. Great for couples, small families (not childproof). Includes hot tub & Woodland Banners Poetry Walk. Beds are futons. It's warm June-Aug. (no A/C, plenty fans), but way cooler than the city. It's cold Nov.-March (wood stove heat). Mini-fridge & microwave (no kitchen/plumbing). Bath-house is 2-min. walk (toilet, sink, shower). Two minutes to Saxapahaw. Read description for more info. SERIOUSLY NO PARTIES.
“Amazing experience for my two kids (11 and 8) and me! Super quiet, tons of fun things for the kids to do, great animals, idyllic location!! My 8yo daughter cried when we had to leave. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away from the grind and reconnect with others or even just have a peaceful time by yourself. Can’t wait to go back!”
Our 128 sq ft tiny house is located on Wildwoods Community Farm, a nonprofit permaculture farm and tiny house community that's only 10 minutes away from downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill. I wanted to create a space where guests can take time to reset and reconnect with what's important. The house is cozy, stylish, well-appointed and surprisingly spacious. Take a step outside and you'll be surrounded by ponds, garden beds, and the soothing sounds of nature that make life here so peaceful
“Brandon's tiny house is absolutely amazing! It blends in perfectly with the forest. Can't believe he built everything from scratch. It has everything we need and has many thoughtful small touches throughout. Although in a forest, the location is great since it's only a 10-15 minutes drive to Chapel Hill main street. Communication is very easy. Brandon is very responsive greeted us when we arrived. There was a short period during our stay when the internet didn't work well, and he managed to resolve it in 10 minutes. I also got a chance to experience Brandon's sustainable lifestyle by helping him harvesting his vegetables in the garden. Super fun! He showed me how to do it and I got to be hands-on for some fun things and being close to the nature. Overall, I highly recommend this getaway experience! I'm glad I did it as I was so bored of staying at home for several months due to COVID. However, think twice before booking if you mind the following. These aren't issues for me at all but might be for others: 1) Compost toilet. Even if it's sparkling clean and does not give out any foul smell during our stay. 2) Ladder to bed. it's a small space and requires some climbing to get to the bed. 3) Rocky entry road. The entry road is flat but a bit rocky and dark at night. My tiny inexpensive car had no trouble with it. But I don't recommend driving an expensive racing car if you are visiting the place.”
This cosy cottage is located in a bucolic setting surrounded by gardens. Within an easy commute to several urban areas offering cultural attractions and quaint small towns offering local color. Starry nights and natural wildlife abounds.
“Caroline and Roland are amazing host. Both are genuine, and kind people. The cottage is so well kept and comfortable. The tranquility of the beautiful grounds is quite the site to see. Waking up and looking out to see the beautiful horses and the comfortable deck to catch a beautiful morning breeze while enjoying coffee .. FABULOUS!! I will be sure to stay again. I HIGHLY recommend this location. The bed, shower, sitting room furniture... EVERYTHING was so comfortable, I didn’t want to leave. Book this location you WILL NOT regret it!!”
