Nestled on a summer pasture at 1'067m asl , this contemporary chalet is the ideal summer retreat where you can relax, chop wood and enjoy preparing nice meals on a wood burning stove in a generous kitchen. The chalet is fully autonomous with solar charged batteries for electricity, fresh spring water, and a fireplace for heating (basic fire making skills are helpful). Enjoy the simple pleasures of privacy, beautiful views and fresh mountain air from a cozy and tasteful cabin in the alps.

In the upper Valtournenche, at the foot of the Matterhorn, surrounded by herds of grazing cows in summer and white snow in the winter months, my wife Enrica and I will be happy to welcome our guests to our apartment. Close to the towns of Valtournenche and Cervinia (about 3 km) but still isolated from the chaos, it is the ideal place to relax, observe enchanting views, listen to the silence of the mountain, play sports and take fantastic walks starting right from the house!

Pont St-Charles Lodge

The Cabanon du Pont St-Charles sits on the heights of the village of Bourg-Saint-Pierre, nestled in front of the beautiful alpine garden of La Linnaea. This property, designed by the local architect Michi Gehret, is a harmonious blend of artistic expression and unconventional design. This is for the free spirited person who enjoys the unconventional design of no toilet door and open showering. It is all part of the experience!

Stephen's mazot in Chamonix

Stephen's Mazot is a cosy wooden retreat, a small chalet (20sqm) set in a peaceful garden. Enjoy incredible views of Mont Blanc from the balcony and the luscious garden, which surrounds this unique getaway. In winter you can walk up to the main Chamonix lift (10 mins in ski boots) for skiing on the Brévent, or take the ski bus from here to the other ski areas. In summer there are some amazing hikes straight from this small chalet to the Brévent.

Whilst the mazot has just been renovated and equipped with a modern shower, kitchenette and heating system; we made sure to keep that old charm by preserving the original wood interior. You will be in a peaceful environment with the forest at your doorstep but also very close to the hustle and bustle of the centre of Chamonix.
