Holiday rentals in Scholi Asomaton

A second visit- we loved it so much, this time came earlier, at Equinox in March, and I stayed on my own, leaving in late April. I could have stayed another month. It was incredible to watch the spring season unfold, and the village come alive, with the spring horta harvests and village gatherings, preparations for Easter and to be there during the Orthodox Holy Week when the families gather was deeply moving. The landscape is stunning, olive groves shimmer w/ silver growth, the baby lambs arrive, bright green meadows fill with wildflowers and so many orchids! The location is central to all the key places you'd want to visit, and coming 'home' to an authentic villa, almost a folk museum itself, yet utterly modern, was such a privilege. The villa is so comfortable and decor lovely, with 3 great decks, and so much support from Manolis as host, and Rumy as caretaker and fine chef. Mount Ida is in constant view, everchanging, it is truly a magical, powerful land. Thank you so much.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Thank you!!

Wonderfully well equipped Villa. Beautiful location surrounded by mountains, amazing views to wake up to every morning. Perfect for large groups of people with plenty of comfortable living space. Great location for peaceful relaxation, or to be used as a central location to explore Crete from. A hire car is a necessity, be prepared for narrow village roads and winding mountain passes. Meronas has a few small cafés/ restaurants with good food, all locals were very friendly! Check in is completely painless, the hosts were incredibly useful with very fast response time to any issues. Strongly recommend!

Wir wurden super empfangen und eingewiesen. Maria und Tassos sind super gastfreundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir haben tolle Ausflugstipps erhalten. Das Haus ist wunderschön, hat viele hübsche Bereiche und einen tollen Pool. Für Menschen die einen leichten Schlaf haben ist lediglich zu bedenken, dass der Fußboden im OG nicht extra gedämmt ist, d.h. man hört jeden Schritt und jedes Wort wenn sich jemand oben bewegt oder unterhält. Wir haben uns recht schnell daran gewöhnt. Das ist halt auch der Charme eines alten Hauses. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn die nächsten Besucher die ein oder andere Futtertüte für die im Ort lebenden Katzen übrig hätte. Wir sind jeden Abend unsere Runde gelaufen und wurden sehnsüchtig erwartet. Fernab der Touriorte ist es überlebenswichtig für die Katzen, dass der ein oder andere Besucher ihnen Futter gibt. Dies wäre eine kleine Bitte meinerseits. Ansonsten regt das Haus zum Entspannen und Entschleunigen an.

Wir waren als Gruppe mit 8 Personen (4 Paare) unterwegs und waren durchweg begeistert von der Unterkunft. Die Villa entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen und ist ideal zum Entspannen, Spaß haben und um Zeit mit Freunden zu verbringen. Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig inmitten der Hügel mit einzigartigem Blick auf das offene Meer. Von der Straße hört man, auch wenn man am Pool liegt, wenig bis gar nichts. Nach einer kleinen Herausforderungen zum Start, da die Vormieter den Schlüssel nicht wie vereinbart in der Schlüsselbox hinterlegt hatten, konnten wir die Zeit sehr genießen. Hier hat die Kommunikation mit Stelios und seinem Team super funktioniert und es konnte alles schnell gelöst werden. Alles in allem war es ein super Aufenthalt und wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Highlight ist natürlich auch der Holzkohlegrill, der eigentlich täglich zum Einsatz gekommen ist. Fazit: Absolute Empfehlung!
