Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Renovated Walzer house 15 mins by car from Alagna

Our chalet is a renovated "Walzer" style barn. We are a Belgian family with 3 children and a dog and love this remote quiet place in the Valsesia valley. We enjoy hiking in the mountains or just walking in the valley or swimming in the river that passes by on the back of our house. We love skiing in the nearby "Monte Rosa" or "Alpe di Mera" Ski domains (15 or 10 minutes respectively by car) and enjoy cooking with local produce savoring local wines (Gattinara, Ghemme, Barbaresco, Barolo, ...)

"La casetta nel bosco" è un ambiente immerso nel verde dei castagni e dei tigli, per "ascoltare la natura che parla" ma anche la musica (casse acustiche in ogni piano, anche all'aperto) e lasciarsi cullare da momenti di vita lenta, semplice, autentica. Si trova in un piccolo villaggio alpino da cui si parte per raggiungere altri villaggi e località, a piedi e in auto. Il giardino a uso esclusivo con area pranzo, barbecue, piscina, ombrelloni e sdraio è molto amato. E' presente Wi-Fi.

Nato dalla necessità di rallentare e di immergersi nella Natura, abbiamo cercato di rendere questo luogo caldo e confortevole. Gli elementi sono semplici e ricercati senza fretta. L'affaccio verso valle è mozzafiato. Il paesino montano di Rossa è tutto da scoprire, rilassante e perfettamente custodito dai suoi abitanti. Molti sentieri ben segnati partono dal paese. In 15 minuti d'auto si arriva agli impianti di Mera, in 30 ad Alagna e in 50 ai laghi. Vicini gli approdi per il rafting.

Possibilità di essere accompagnati, per passeggiate in montagna oppure ad una baita situata in un alpeggio a circa 2 ore di cammino, con polenta optionale.
