The Wee Housie

PhilipRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a great couple of days in Talmine. Jenny and Andy are lovely friendly hosts. The Wee Housie had everything as described and everything we needed. Very comfortable for us and our dog. The views from the front are stunning. Some great walks and trails around - we did Castle Vallich, around Tongue and then drove the loch. Great place to stop on our journey around the North of Scotland.

Netherdykes Hideaway log cabin

ZaidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A piece of heaven, hidden away in Scotland. Very private and quiet. Was slightly hard to find it as the Postcode is covering a wide area however the airbnb itself was very peaceful and nice. Would 100% recommend.

Secluded chalet on a quiet family farm

StewartRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The chalet surpassed our expectations and is ideally situated. It is close to Aberdeen (20 minutes drive to City Centre) but in a rural location. Paddy and Catherine are both lovely people with a very interesting back-story. They were attentive but not overbearing throughout our visit

Romantic Eco Hideaway with Breathtaking Loch Views

ScottRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Bolthole was the perfect weekend retreat for us. The cabin itself is very cosy, the log burner warms the place very quick and lots of pillows and blankets are provided. The amenities are great, we didn’t find ourselves wanting for anything (tea, coffee, salt, pepper, pots, pans, plates cutlery etc). Its location above the loch provides a great view, and is only a minutes walk to the water. Lovely warm shower and gas hob provided only 10 seconds from the cabin. The location feels very rural and off grid but is only a short drive (15 mins) to shops & restaurants in Inveraray, and a small shop in Dalmally. We would throughly recommend and will be likely to return!

Cabin In Luss at Lochlomond

TrudieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an amazing time in Alyson’s cabin. Even though the weather wasn’t kind, the view from the cabin makes up for it. Watching the weather change and the wonderful rainbows-amazing. Luss is a quaint, popular little village. So lovely when all the coach trips go home and you can explore on your own . There are a few places to eat and drink in Luss, the Loch Lomond hotel was lovely. We had a great walk up Ben Dubh, which is just behind Luss and also visited Conic Hill for an easier hike. The village walks are really pleasant too. The cabin had everything needed for a short stay, it was clean and well equipped. We would definitely recommend.

Charming stone Bothy at Loch Lomond

AnnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
First timers in Scotland. Fiona’s Bothy was so quintessentially Scottish and so cozy. It evoked the private remote stone sanctuary we have dreamed of. A patterns of rain on the roof our first night led to beautiful deep sleep for both. There’s a fine farm stand down the A82 so we cooked delicious breakfast before climbing Conic Hill in Balhama - it rained a wee bit at the top - so our visit was perfect! Thank you Fiona. Your hospitality is the best and you’ve given us fine memories for our 35th anniversary.

We had a great time at Ann's pod. The pod itself was lovely, clean and well-equipped and the surroundings were beautiful. Ann and her husband were both really helpful and friendly. Ann was very responsive to messages and gave us really clear instructions for finding the place which we appreciated. Overall a great trip!

Couthie Cooshed in the Cairngorms

NiallRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a short but very enjoyable stay in the 'Cooshed' - I'm normally a bit wary about places which are essentially in someone's garden, but it never felt like we were intruding on the hosts (who have a lovely house and garden). The fit and finish is great, the decor is very tasteful and it is very well-equipped. The half-size dishwasher was a real bonus, very useful to have a washing machine available too. It wasn't really cold enough to 'need' the woodburner but it seemed rude not to fire it up - I did see sub-zero temperatures forecast for one of the nights we were there! I thought the ladder up to the bed might be a pain, but it's fine - good thought to provide a subtle night-light downstairs. We managed to find some good walking and running routes straight from the property - the forestry plantation up behind is a bit bleak and spooky (even with red squirrels), but along the River Don and up Ben Newe before breakfast on a sunny day was a real highlight! Definitely recommended.

The Ewe, Luxury pod with hot tub. Croft4glamping

JamesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I booked “The Ewe Pod” as a surprise getaway for my girlfriend’s birthday. The location was in a perfect place, so peaceful along with walking distance from the beach. I booked the Hawthorn restaurant for Saturday night dinner which was ideal as it was only a few minutes walk from the pod. The hot tub was amazing & we loved it being situated within the decking. The wheelbarrow was also ideal for transporting our belongings from the car to the pod. We also really enjoyed the complimentary oat cakes & homemade tablet on arrival. The place was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend.

The Cowshed Glamping Shed

KathrinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely place, beautifully designed, felt very new and clean but cosy. Yes it is a bit different to not have a sink in the kitchen but to have to take 3 steps out the door, under a roof, to a separate room - but we thought it was a nice little change to everyday life. Mark was really nice and helpful. It was lovely that the bathroom heating was on when we arrived as it was quite cold! The only thing that could be improved is to provide a little bit more kindling for the fire, as there wasn't loads and the other wood was quite big :)

ShelleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay - incredible views and the space was bigger than it looked in the photos. We were greeted be lovely Vicki and the super friendly pup Rhubarb, it was the perfect start to our visit! Thank you for the delicious freshly baked cake, bread and jam, it was such a kind, personal touch. Thoroughly recommend making the effort to book well in advance for a table at Loch Bay, and the Stein Inn also has delicious food. We’d love to return!
