Stunning Caravan 10, Mountain Views

LizRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The caravan was spotless and cosy. It's compact but had everything we needed. The living room and kitchen are particularly well thought out. I enjoyed the view over the fells in the distance although the misty weather meant they weren't clear. We didn't walk into Cockermouth this time although we could have, and we like the town. One day we parked at nearby Powter Howe and walked up to Seat How for a shortish but quite steep walk - a lot of this is under trees so great for a rainy day. It's an easy drive into Keswick for more walking, cafes and restaurants. We took a bus from Keswick down Borrowdale and walked back along the lake shore. We didn't want to come home, but needs must! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage in the Lake District. The views were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and stress-free. The cottage itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. 5/5!

We had a lovely stay in Mark’s lovely quirky home! It was very comfortable, surprisingly spacious and full of character. It was a great base for us as we were meeting up with family from overseas. Would definitely recommend especially if you like peaceful out of the way places.

Lovely Sheppard hut! We stay only one night but we love it very much. We went for a walk up to binsey as recommended, lovely walk through the hills. The hut is cleaned and cosy. Jemima was really friendly and proactive. We felt right at home. We will be back!

Pet Friendly Cottage near Bassenthwaite, sleeps 4

HelenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The property was as we expected from the photos, really lovely country cottage. Cleaned well & no spiders. Great views & gorgeous rural location but only about 15 mins to Keswick. Narrow lanes but we were fine with that. No noise from adjoining properties. I'd read a previous review that said poor WiFi but it was actually excellent. Bench outside the front door that got the evening sun with grass to take dog out onto (not enclosed). Well equipped & was very useful having hand soap, washing up liquid, cloths etc. Porch area very useful for boots & coats. We had no contact with David aside from a very detailed email with directions & useful info before arrival, but we had no issues that we needed to contact him about. We really appreciated the Yorkshire tea, milk & cake while waiting for our Asda delivery to arrive so thank you. We would definitely want to stay in this accomodation again when we next visit the lakes.
