Open-space design apt in a historic farmhouse

One out of our five delicately renovated apartments located on the second floor of a charming, characterful farmhouse. It is one of the oldest buildings of a cosy little village in the Valle d’Isarco in Northern Italy. We find ourselves right in the center of sun-blessed South Tyrol, on a hilltop at the entrance of the Gardena and Funes valleys. Close to the dolomites mountains but not far away from the popular towns of Bolzano and Bressanone it is an ideal starting point to explore the region.

An attic, in a 17th-century barn at 1500 meters, overlooking the mountains and renovated in 2023 with antique woods and local stones. The apartment consists of a dining area with equipped kitchen, as well as a large living room with fireplace and large sofa bed, a comfortable bathroom with shower and a "refuge" with 2 additional beds. Haus Oberpauler Morgenstund

The apartments were to be cozy when we decided to renovate our house, which was built in 1848 as a farm, in 2016. Since the 1950s, the house has served as accommodation for vacation guests. By partially using the old wood, we believe we have succeeded in creating the cozy atmosphere. From the balcony, the view goes to the west, over Sesto towards San Candido and its local mountain Baranci. In summer, the sunset completes the day.
