Monthly Rentals in Shenandoah County

We only stayed one night at the cabin—but what a night it was! We arrived in the evening and were immediately greeted by a small herd of cows, which absolutely delighted my dairy farmer husband and our farm-loving son. After a week at the beach in a less-than-cozy house with minimal amenities, followed by a full day of walking around Monticello, this cabin felt like a warm hug. The space was incredibly comfortable—recliners everywhere (my kind of paradise!) and plenty of seating for everyone. With two full bathrooms, it made traveling with my family and brother so much easier. The peaceful, scenic view was just the cherry on top. Our kids had a great time too—it’s a wonderful spot for families. We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning—a thoughtful touch from our hosts. Honestly, we kicked ourselves for only booking one night. Lesson learned… we’ll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

The place was peaceful, clean, private, and everything looked just like the photos. The instructions were clear and precise. Checking in and checking out was super easy. Our first thought is we don't everyone to know how how great the Little Black Cabin is because we'll never be able to rebook it. We were looking for a beautiful, quiet place for a romantic getaway and this was absolutely perfect. In three days, the only voices we heard, besides ours, were birds and and a coyote who made an appearance yesterday and darted back into the woods. There was no traffic, no noise, and the view - oh my God - is just epic. We brought a cooler with all the food we needed as we like to cook. The Little Black Cabin has a well-equipped kitchen with a real stove, oven, normal sized fridge, a coffee grinder, french press, and a drip coffee maker. Wifi works great, two nice beds, a clean and functional bathroom. Lots of outdoor furniture and we had our meals outside. There is even an an outdoor outlet where we trickle-charged our EV. The Little Black Cabin was heaven, and we will return unless yet another five star review makes it impossible.

Had a great stay at the burrow with 5 friends and a doggy on our road trip. Cozy and clean, with a picturesque view from the porch. Our favorite part was the outdoor fire - thanks to the hosts for helping us get it going. Would definitely come back!!
