This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

The regular dorm room also has a large bed, so if you bring a backpack, you can easily store it. There were also lights and hangers inside, so I was able to stay comfortably without having to leave the bed. Next time, I want to stay in the room on the second floor!

It was my first time using a private lodging, but communication with Yoichi was smooth, and I was able to stay without any inconvenience. I stayed for consecutive nights, so the towels I used were washed and dried, but I was happy that all the towels were changed the next day.It was also helpful to have a lot of dishes, cookware, and basic condiments in the kitchen. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance!

The room was also clean and the bed was fluffy, and it was a very good place to stay. It seems that the family also enjoyed talking with Kohei. It was a pity that I couldn't see the surrounding scenery because it was raining, but I thought I would like to go again next time when it is sunny. Thanks for your hospitality this time.
