This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

U kunt onder de veranda heerlijk tot rust komen en heeft kano's tot uw beschikking waarmee u de mooie omgeving en het pittoreske dorp Kolhorn kunt verkennen. Het is gelegen aan de Westfriese Omringdijk, waar u in de omgeving mooie fiets- of wandeltochten kunt maken. U kunt in de nabije omgeving genieten van het strand en de gezellige stad Schagen met wekelijks de Westfriese Markt.

This beautiful studio is located above the garage with a private entrance under the carport. The studio has a fairytale view of the mill and the fields behind the house. You enter the studio through the stairs. Here you will find a cozy modern atmosphere. You are completely private in the apartment. Behind the apartment you have your own private terrace with 2 chairs and a table. At the water you find two relaxchairs. You can park your car at the mill. Bicycles can be put under the carport.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.
