Holiday rentals with lake access in Somerset

It was a beautiful place. We initially thought it was going to be cold, but the fireplace and heaters ensured the place was super warm. Kids and adults had super fun with the farm ride. Rain boots are a must to go to fishing, which is only reachable by walk. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay was brilliant, the surroundings were perfect and the secure walled garden was excellent for the dogs! Would recommend the Talbot Inn in Mells for food and drink too, only 8mins drive. Would love to stay here again, thanks Marie.

Highly recommend staying here. Katherine made us feel like we were her personal guests and made us feel so welcome. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail were incredible. She is a kind, caring person who went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The town of Frome is charming and has great restaurants and local shops, sights. With Stonehenge only 30 min away, this would be a great place to stay if you are even planning a trip anywhere in the area.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay , i had a special birthday so got the family together . The house is so well equipped to high standard. The pool is brilliant nice temperature and big enough to feel like your doing your lengths in exercise, brilliant setting to sit round. Can't find anything bad to say about the place Nice kid's area with swings and trampoline.

Very smart and clean, all as described! It all made for a very pleasant break.

We had a fantastic stay at Mandy’s place. The house was lovely with incredible views and so many beautiful places for walks and food nearby. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a very lovely stay. Nicola provided a high chair and travel cot to accommodate for our 10 month old baby. The hot tub was lovely and private and the views were stunning.

This was the best air b and b stay I’ve had! It was so peaceful and quiet. I booked it for my mums birthday and she was blown away by the property. If you are looking to get away and relax this is the place! Everything was such high quality and felt very homely. Thank you ☺️

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable apartment. The bed is one of the best we've slept in. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Very close to beautiful walks and amenities. Only slight negative was the noise early in the morning when staff are preparing breakfast for the BandB guests in the main residence but we were not put off by this. We will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay, very quiet and private. The onsite shop was great for picking up some small bits we forgot!

We booked this place for my dad while he was moving house, so it needed to be on the ground floor, easy to access and a good location. It was all these things, and Katherine was a great host. We had an issue with the internet half way through the stay which meant that he had no internet connection at all, this was a problem with the provider that was not able to be resolved despite her many attempts. In every other respect Katherine was a great host and the house was very tidy and comfortable.

Such a lovely place! Really picturesque surroundings which have left us feeling very relaxed. And Justin and Pippa were lovely hosts. The children really loved the pool and the games barn! Thank you so much 😊

Excellent accommodation, very clean, well equipped, perfect location, short walk to amenities & seafront. Lots of lovely homely touches. Very good communication with owner who was super helpful. Didn’t find key box straight away, but that was user error as hidden in plain sight 🤣. Thank you would highly recommend and would most definitely go back.

Kingsmead Centre is a really quiet peaceful site, I really enjoy staying there. I have stayed in the static caravans several times now and will definitely return. There is everything you need for a comfotable stay - fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, and a nice little deck to sit out on. As its very rural, you don't get a great mobile signal all the time but wifi can be purchased. The only other thing to note is the beds aren't made up, which is not a problem if youre aware of it, but bear this in mind if you're arriving late.

Ali is a fantastic host, she communicated with me really well in the lead up to our visit and once we were there was only to pleased to help with anything we needed. The Piggery is a gorgeous property tucked away in remote and peaceful area. We had a fantastic time and will be reccomending The Piggery to friends and family

We stayed here whilst doing a Uni visit and only wished we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful and has everything we needed. A perfect, relaxing setting. Particularly, sitting on the decking by the lake. We took our dog who also loved all the grassy areas. A lovely treat was watching from the window the rabbits & goats playing. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Tim and Debbie’s lodge. It was in such beautiful peaceful surroundings and we loved exploring. Our young boys also really enjoyed the lake and the golf! Thanks so much for having us Tim and Debbie; it was such a pleasure to meet you.

We had a fantastic short stay at Wharfingers Cottage with our 7 month old. Deborah was a fantastic host, providing lots of information about the Cottage and the local area, as well as providing cot and highchair. The area is so quite with fantastic views and easy to get to. Thanks for a wonderful holiday Deborah!

Abby is very welcoming and friendly host. We loved staying at the cottage. The view was beautiful, the surroundings very peaceful, the house was very clean and comfortable. There were many things to do at the property for families with children, very big gardens, you can play outdoor games, visit the sheep. Cat named Ozzy came every morning and evening to visit. Also there is plenty of things to do near by. There is lots of suggestions in a guest book. We liked it so much we wanted to extend our stay.

We had a great stay at the Hideaway. The property is really beautiful, peaceful and relaxing, sitting in the middle of farmland and surrounded be countryside. I can really recommend the Hideaway if you are looking for somewhere to decompress and unwind. Thank you Amy for all your help.

An absolutely wonderful stay at Dairy Cottage. From brilliant and beautiful surroundings to the nicest hosts in Debbie and John. The cupcakes on arrival were amazing and the cottage so cosy and comfy. Had a wonderful time and both of the hosts were so helpful and the walks me and my dogs went on were wonderful! Highly recommend and thank you for having us!

Great location. The games room is fantastic with free-to-play pool, table football, LOADS of board games and hundreds of dvds to pick from and take back to watch with your family. The swimming pool is fantastic, just the right temperature and plenty big enough to get some good lengths in while the kids splash around. Sadly we didn’t stay long enough to experience all that the location had to offer so we may have to go back to take it all in
