Waterfront holiday rentals in Somerset

We had a perfect stay at Madeline’s flat when we visited to go to Longleat for the weekend. Madeline was a helpful and responsive host and we were able to get into the flat easily. It’s a lovely place - clean, comfortable and perfectly kitted out for our stay. The children especially loved the bunk beds and the special touches in their bedroom. We didn’t get much time to spend on the terraces (private and communal) but they are both very inviting. The block is very quiet and within walking distance to the charming town centre. Would definitely stay here again!

A fabulous, well decorated and spotless appartment, loved the round bedroom! Close to all amenities and right on the seafront. Well priced for the area. Well places for day trips to surrounding places of interest Very responsive host, we were able to park and visit town before check in time. There is an amazing Art Deco cinema just around the corner- The Ritz, which we would also recommend!. Visit would not be complete without a walk to the historic Low Lighthouse. (the appartment being the site of Burnham's othere lighthouse) We had a thorourghly lovely time and would definitely book again!

Joanna was a very helpful & friendly host. Her accommodation is comfortable with a lovely outdoor space overlooking the River Axe ( trout observed & some lovely bird song when we were resident). Conveniently located near Wells just a few miles away & Cheddar Gorge easily accessible by car.

This is a real gem. The apartment is in great condition, clean, beautifully decorated and well furnished. It had everything we needed. The location is also very good, walkable to the centre of Minehead, but at the quiet end of the seafront. Great views out to sea from the kitchen and dining area. Denise was a very helpful and responsive host. We would definitely come again.

When we arrived, we had a very warm welcome from Joanna, who I must say, went above and beyond our expectations. The apartment was absolutely stunning, with a babbling brook right outside the bedroom on a private veranda. We saw an eel, plenty of fish and caught a glimpse of a kingfisher. The lounge is quaint and comfortable with a log burner for those cozy nights, plus a smart TV to relax to. The kitchen is beautifully styled and spacious with equipment to create meals worthy of a restaurant. The bathroom is immaculate. It's a 15 min drive to Glastonbury and pretty much 6 mins to everywhere else locally. The Ring O Bells pub, which is a 5 min stroll up the road, serves lovely food, and the Wookey Hub (local coffee shop and convenience store) is just a little further up the road (opens 9am-3pm). All in all, I'd give this 6 stars if it were available and would definitely book this again. Thank you Joanna for a lovely stay.

we are regular visitors to Minehead, and we love the apartments location and view. its located at the foot of the start of the South West Coast Path, and a couple of minutes walk from the harbour with the lovely harbour cafe and our favourite pub, the Ship Aground. the view of the sea from the apartment itself is lovely and great for people watching! the apartment itself is easy to get in to, Andrew was flexible with an earlier check in than anticapated. a parking permit is also provided for parking directly outside the building. we will be back!

A lovely 14th century cottage in a really special, convenient location, with great views of the sea and harbour. The housekeeper Carol was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Handy location, just a short drive to Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury etc. Joanna was really friendly and welcoming on arrival. some lovely local pubs, very friendly with good food.

Owlscombe exceeded our expectations. The setting, views & garden are stunning. The property is extremely well equipped & had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There's a large paved patio overlooking the sea, lawned area perfect for garden games & an enchanting 'woodland' style garden. There is a plentiful supply of crockery, glassware & cutlery so we didn't run out of anything before the dishwasher was full (there are two - which helps keep the kitchen free of dirty dishes). We especially appreciated the generous supply of mugs & that there were large mugs (my partner always takes his own when we go away as so many places only have small ones!). The stairgates & high chair we requested were set up ready for our arrival. Our party included a young baby & an 87 year old, so it was important to us to stay somewhere it was a pleasure to spend time rather than just use as a base. Owlscombe was perfect & Stuart couldn't have been more helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

We came as a party of 8 with 2 dogs to celebrate a significant (60th) birthday. Loved the location and breathtaking views. The property contained everything that we needed and was clean and tidy. Sally was a prompt and responsive host with any questions quickly answered. Those with mobility issues may struggle with the location, but it was perfect for us with some great walks nearby and wonderful pubs and restaurants. We would recommend this property.

Spacious, stylish apartment, full of character reflecting its history. Entry into the courtyard and from the courtyard into the apartment felt very secure. Rather steep uneven wooden stairs might be a challenge to those with mobility issues but not a problem for us. Substantial welcome pack and well stocked kitchen cupboards. Friendly hosts with interesting conversation about the history of the buildings.

A fabulous stay for my 60th birthday celebrations with the family. The whole house was perfect with plenty of space for 8 people to be. We all loved our individual rooms with en-suites and thought the house was beautifully decorated throughout. The kitchen was amply equipped with everything we needed including great cook books. Jo was was a great host who communicated with us very well beforehand. A fantastic house with an equally fantastic host!

Stephen was the most delightful host. He was there to greet me on our arrival, gave me a full tour of the site. The house was exactly as expected, well equipped and clean. Any issue, such as getting locked out, was sorted within minute and nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to a return visit.

We’ve just got back from Primrose Cottage, we thought it was the most perfect place you can imagine. Nestled in the woods by the river, the cottage was packed with everything you could need for a comfy and luxurious time away. We spent hours swimming in the river, playing games by the fire and generally just having the best time. Thank you Simon and Kat for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Spent the week here with our whole family. We had a fabulous time, the house is perfect, we had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Fiona recommended places to go/things to do with the children and was very helpful with any questions we had. Thoroughly recommend!

This was the best air b and b stay I’ve had! It was so peaceful and quiet. I booked it for my mums birthday and she was blown away by the property. If you are looking to get away and relax this is the place! Everything was such high quality and felt very homely. Thank you ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Anchors Away apartment which was tastefully decorated, spotless and very comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus which afforded a wonderful sea view and also a delightful view of the occasional steam engine chugging along the picturesque Somerset Heritage Railway line. This is a lovely tranquil spot from which to explore the many attractions of Somerset, Exmoor and North Devon

We enjoyed our stay and the charm of „sandbank“ and burnham on sea. Absolutely recommended to everyone searching wild romantic nature, lovely village sides and perfect fish&chips!

We had a lovely stay here. Property very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Was also very quiet and private. Great access to the beach and close to amusements , shops etc. Bryan and Ruth were very welcoming and were great hosts. Would definitely recommend.

My family (including 2 dogs) spent 4 nights at the Round Tower and found it really lovely. The apartment exceeded our expectations as the photos did not do it justice. The living room made a lovely second bedroom with the comfy sofa bed. The apartment was well located for us, equally distanced from the dog beach and arcades/town. Easy to find, easy to access. Highly recommend it.

Have travelled to Burnham for many years to see family. This is quite simply the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. Apartment is excellent quality and very well appointed. Does not have a sea view, but is located on the sea front. Would not hesitate in rebooking this property.

Great place to stay, absolutely immaculate and clearly very new still. We stayed on of the apartments with a sea view and it was just great, especially looking right up the sea front. Recommend using this end of the beach rather than the other side.

Lovely apartment, which meant we had a relaxing few days away. Great to have somewhere to park and then everything we needed within walking distance. House was clean and felt spacious. Great to have books, toys and games for the children when it was raining outside.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful apartment and stay! I can’t even put into words how luxurious but how worth the money this place was … stunning views, so well equipped … supplied tea, coffee, sugar etc which you tend to never find, it was clean and just a beautiful space to be in for a few days. The bath tub was also incredible! We will 100% be back and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
