Spacious vacation home, close to Salzburg, in nature

Our family-friendly vacation home, on our small farm, is located in a very sunny and quiet location near the village, in the hiking area of Krispl/Gaißau (Tennengau). The Celtic city of Hallein can be reached by car in about 20 minutes, the Mozart city of Salzburg in about 30 minutes and the nearest ski resort in 40 minutes. Various summer and winter hiking trails/bathing lakes invite you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings to the fullest. In 2026, my guests will also receive the Tennengau Card and mobility ticket by email.

Quiet and idyllic vacation home

You will be staying on a typical regional farm in the mountains. The house is accessible via a MOUNTAIN ROAD about 10 km outside the village area (supermarket) in a quiet location. It is comfortably furnished, and you have to provide your own hot water and room heating with a wood-burning stove in the cold season. Ideally suited for self-catering. Bring your own duvet covers. The local tax is €3 per night and per person; children up to the age of 15 are free. The Tennengau Card and the Mobility Ticket are included.

The vacation home "Strickerl" is located in one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the world, in the Salzkammergut. We are located at an altitude of approx. 880 meters, which makes our guests immediately feel the alpine feeling. With us you have the opportunity to enjoy relaxation & the Austrian idyll. It is not for nothing that the opening sequence of "Sound of Music" was shot here... bathroom, kitchen high quality and new, amenities cozy and traditional. Suitable for families with children or a family with grandparents. Note: 2 beds are cribs (185 x 855), one bedroom is a passageway. Chickens, sheep, cats, bullerbü on the mountains!

You'll love the place because of the healthy wood construction, the tiled stove, the quiet location, terrace, a fantastic view. My place is ideal for couples and guests traveling with their pets. There are many hiking opportunities and attractions nearby.
