Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby. Book it! Go enjoy the state parks, higgins lake, the zoo, miles of trails for bikes or walking and have a beautiful place to call home for the night. Food and ice cream all over the area. It's the kinda of place where they make you pump your gas befor you pay. Took my boat and overall it was just a great time! The place is clean and quiet. I doubt you will be disappointed.

My husband and I decided to go up north for the weekend for a quick birthday getaway/fall color trip. Most lodging, both in Grayling and surrounding areas, were fully booked, including our normal spots, but thankfully we found Sara’s place, which will now be added to our list of go to places to stay while in the area! The place was easy to find, exactly as described, clean, and overall really cozy. Sara is quick to respond (no issues, just a quick question) and the addition of a couple fresh pastries upon our arrival was a nice surprise! We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and relaxing during the evening. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely plan on returning in the near future hopefully to enjoy a longer stay. Highly recommend!!

Went for a 2 day golf trip to Forest Dunes, the cabin was about a mile from the entrance. Everything was very clean, new, and working in the cabin. I hope this place is available the next time we come back, would highly recommend.

This Airnb was spacious and clean with all the comforts of home. Our host was promt with entry information and departure task reminders. We were minutes from town for groceries and dining out. We enjoyed a relaxing beautiful sunny day kayaking on the river. Definitely would love to stay again.

Great location for kayakers! Pool table, Corn hole set, and fire pit on site provided plenty of other options for recreation. Beds were comfortable. Great area! Lovell Riverside Bar is a great place at the other end of Lovell street.
