Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Southern Finland

The accommodation went smoothly. Beautiful place and spacious.

The cottage was cozy and in a good location. Suitable for privacy, but also close to services. The beach was right next door, so you could get there quickly. The cottage was well equipped. In particular, cooking was easy, and there was a good setting for grilling in the yard. The host provided good instructions, and they always responded quickly. I'd love to come back to this place.

Absolutely pristine place for a girls weekend away from our routines! We Enjoyed hot tubbing and sauna, and slept so well! The cute Kyläkauppa served us well for souvenirs!

We were in Sysmä for the third time, but this was our first visit in the summer. The courtyard was summery and beautiful and we had a great time as before.

Loved my stay at Marje’s cabin. It was the perfect peaceful reset. Looks just like the photos, clean, private, and surrounded by greenery. ☀️ Marje was super responsive and gave clear instructions. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

Fabulous place in a wonderful, private forest location a very short walk from a secluded beach with a great sauna. Do be sure to read Evelin’s helpful directions to avoid Google maps sending you to the middle of nowhere where. Loved the touch of the stunning flowers on the dining table. I had been sure they were silk until noticed the petals falling off on our last day! It was a wonderful getaway for our small family of three, but there’s plenty of room for a bigger or extended family. We would be happy to return!

Time helped, despite the instability. A lot of fun paddling on the beautiful lake in front of the chalet, followed by the traditional Finnish sauna. And a lot of contact with nature.

Well done to Sanna for making a cozy space in the peaceful confines of nature. Perfect for a peaceful holiday. Would absolutely return!

As described, friendly hosts. Value for money and very convenient location (route 6) when you want to move around in the region by private car (or some two-wheeler?) - or just to stay overnight. Note however, that Joensuu center is a drive away and parking there seems to be quite expensive.

Since we had a late arrival, the key was deposited and an extra video was shot so that we could find everything. Thanks for that. The apartment is equipped with everything needed. The location is very quiet. Optimal for us.

Sari's cottage was a great place to rest amid the hustle and bustle of Himos. The fireplace on the deck created a lovely atmosphere, and due to the late check-out time, there was also time to eat brunch on the morning of the long pattern. Thanks, Sari!

Tanja and Santiago are friendly and accommodating hosts. They always communicated with clear directions, helpful reminders and they always responded to any questions or comments immediately. This very clean apartment, near a beautiful forest, was a perfect spot for our family of 5 including our 3 small children. I would definitely stay there again. Kiitos!

The night I spent in the apartment was very pleasant. It was clean and very well equipped, being ideal for a longer duration. In terms of communication, it was correct, quick and cordial. In addition, it is very nicely located, having supermarkets and several restaurants nearby. I highly recommend it.

We spent a nice weekend at the cottage with friends. The cottage was clean and well-equipped. Communication with Bettina was smooth and quick. Everything else met our expectations, but unfortunately it was not possible to swim from the pier or get out of the water along the swimming stairs as they did not reach the water.

Nice beautiful little cottage by the lake, which was neat and compact. It was easy to dive into the lake and it was really shallow, which was well suited for swimming with a child. We were able to play😊 cottage games in the yard, a beautiful and peaceful area in the heart of nature!

We had a quiet and relaxing time at the house. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with our travel date, as it thawed heavily shortly before we arrived and then froze again. The result was a rather demanding journey over heavily icy forest roads. With four-wheel drive, no problem and on site you could do well with spikes. But you think twice about whether you have to go shopping by car or not. After it had snowed again, that was no longer an issue, mind you with four-wheel drive! The house is quietly located directly on the lake. If you are looking for a break from everyday life and relaxation, I can only recommend winter as a travel time. We used the cold days for the sauna and took a few trips to the beautiful frozen lake landscape. Sanna was always easily accessible and provided us with information about the location and everything around it 👍 In terms of amenities, we didn't miss anything and we could imagine coming back 👋👋👋
