Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Stanford

My husband, sister, and I had a wonderful 5-day stay while in California for our daughter’s graduation. Our hosts, Sophie and Jennifer, were friendly, helpful, and responsive. The apartment was spotless and well set up, with a beautiful sunlit kitchen nook, a sizable well-equipped kitchen, and a desk for work. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!

Great place to stay if you need to be close to Palo Alto. Can cook or prepare meals if you want as it has a full Kitchen. Allocated parking space a plus as street parking not always availible. Close to Highway exits, 101, so easy to drive to San Jose or San Franscico. You will need a car if you stay at this location. I recommend it once you read the reviews so you know what to expect.

It's a lovely and well-arranged space that perfectly meets our needs, despite its modest size. We particularly appreciate its location in a safe and quiet neighborhood.

We had a lovely stay! Jenny is the perfect host she accommodated all our needs and requests prior to our stay and during. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable very clean and functional. Would highly recommend the place !!!

Karen was a kind host and the photos were exactly like the place. I asked for check in details a day early and she gave them to me. I am not a big fan of stay ins and her place gave me the privacy I was looking for! Walls were thins, but again, it was nicer than staying in with someone, in my opinion. I would definitely recommend if the place is available. It is not hard to find as long as you use the GPS.

Wonderful weekend escape in a quiet safe neighborhood close to a park and within walking distance of university Avenue and campus. Well designed space that gave our family of four plenty of room.

Stayed at Oriel’s place during a recent trip to Palo Alto and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The space looks just like the photos, everything feels fresh and nicely upgraded, with thoughtful touches throughout. There’s even a small patio that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. It’s in a great location too, just a short drive to Stanford and close enough to everything without feeling too busy. Oriel was super communicative, especially when some construction started next door. He went out of his way to have them hold off while I finished an important video call, which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay. Loved the space, loved the hospitality, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Visiting from North Carolina

The cozy casita was absolutely amazing. It was perfect for my weekend getaway. I had plans in emeryville it was very close. The details of the casita were well thought out. I felt the love that was put in. Would definitely stay again.

This was the a great place to stay for a short work trip. The unit is a first floor private studio apartment with its own private bathroom and kitchen in a small apartment building. There is controlled access to the overall building as well as a key to the room. It is convenient walking distance from everything on Castro as well as the Caltrain station. As others mention, the main drawback was the noise, but I actually found it easier to sleep that way. The kitchen is stocked with some basic food items and breakfast like bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee pods. It is an older building and unit that I thought had character. Very clean and comfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an apartment in Santa Row, San Jose, and it was nothing short of fantastic! The convenience of having such a diverse selection of stores right at your doorstep is a huge plus. Speaking of walkability, the area is incredibly pedestrian-friendly. Strolling through Santa Row, you’ll find beautifully landscaped streets, making it a joy to explore on foot. The proximity of cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues means you can easily grab a bite or enjoy a drink without needing to drive. This makes it particularly appealing for tourists and locals alike.

Very convenient location, easy walk to UC Berkeley. Even though it's near a busy intersection, it felt very quiet and peaceful. The unit is much more spacious than I was anticipating and it was nice to have a complete kitchen. Al is a very kind and responsive host. I would definitely recommend!

The stay at was fantastic! The place was clean and cozy, and had everything needed. Nader's prompt responses and helpfulness were appreciated. Staying here is highly recommended!

It was a little confusing gettinto the place. We parked in the structure and gained access through 2 floor bridge, but got locked out. We found the ground floor door and were able to use that. The garage gate only open one side. The parking space was tricky because it was next to motorcycles parking. BE CAREFUL, mattress sags at edges, husband fell off bed and hit his face. All in all we had a great time. 👍

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.

I read all the reviews online about Kimberly's place so I knew it would be nice. The large closet was awesome, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. The only problem I had (I knew this ahead of time) was hearing the owner's kids above us. Most of the time, no problem and never at odd times. I did feel the parents were as courteous as possible for 2 small kids but it was hard to take a nap a couple of times. I am used to a single home so this may play into it. I still recommend their place but keep in mind, occasionally, you hear people upstairs as also written in other reviews.

We had a great stay. The home is lovely and the area is very walkable with lots of restaurants and shops accessible.
