Holiday rentals with a kayak in Steenwijkerland

We had a great stay with our 3 children. The terrace is secured (you should be able to block the small gate on the side for the little ones). The place is very peaceful and relaxing. The house has everything you need for a good stay (maybe add a small toaster). We will recommend this place to our friends without hesitation. Thank you to our host.

A very compact and modern house right on the water. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. We were very satisfied with the quiet environment to relax over the Easter days and can only recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rosetta’s place! It’s in a peaceful and beautiful area, and just a short bike ride to the village center and the supermarket. Rosetta was super kind and welcoming. She had bikes and a canoe ready for us, which made exploring Giethoorn really fun and easy. It was such a relaxing trip—would definitely recommend staying here!

Rosetta was so welcoming, helpful and genuinely interested in making our experience comfortable. She went above and beyond to help us get my elderly mother’s luggage in as we were unable to get luggage storage we had planned. Our breakfast was amazing. She made me special and delicious low carb options as I had dietary needs. The bedrooms were very comfortable, everything was so nice. I would stay here again in a second.

I highly commend Suzans and Martin's house. Large, comfortable, equipped with everything you could ask for, and with wide windows overlooking manicured lawns on two sides, it was almost too difficult to leave the house to explore the area. But we left and enjoyed our excursions to Giethoorn and Urk very much. Martin made the takeover and return of the house relaxed and uncomplicated. My family and I highly recommend this house.

Awesome spot for an overnight solo traveler like me. A little walking required if taking public transit but it’s a comfy place and Rosetta provided plenty of delicious food for breakfast. Would come again.

We had a great time in this beautiful house right on the water! The location is simply fantastic - you can look directly onto the water from every room. The house is very modern, stylish and designed with great attention to detail. The kitchen has a lot of kitchen appliances and spices. In general, nothing was missing in the equipment. A small note for those with pollen allergies: There is a lot of nature in the area, which is beautiful - but it is advisable to have allergy medication with you if you are sensitive. We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the house!

What a paradise! Nice, spacious cottage with all the essentials. Spacious garden by the river. Very quiet and idyllic. The wood-fired sauna combined with a swim in the Vecht was fantastic. Padded to the village in 20 min by canoe and the other way between the fields. Nothing noticed from the other cottages on the property. Across the street is a beautiful house at a very spacious distance, but that doesn't detract from the feeling of being completely alone. Absolutely recommended and we would love to come back!

We were an hour early, but no problem at all! We were already able to get into the room. Otherwise wonderfully clean! In the morning a nice breakfast. Great stay.

The place is just beautiful! The house is furnished with great attention to detail and corresponds exactly to the pictures – everything is perfectly clean and well maintained. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired and the beds are super cozy. The terrace is a particular highlight – ideal for relaxing after a day in nature. The area around the house is also very nice and pleasantly quiet. With the in-house canoes, you can discover the Weerribben-Wieden National Park and enjoy the breathtaking nature to the fullest. The popular town of Giethoorn is also just a short drive away and definitely worth a visit. The host Timo is incredibly nice, helpful and always available. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and smooth. We felt completely comfortable and can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Had a wonderful time in The Blue Cottage. Beautiful location, enjoyed the view and the lake. The cottage is small but nice and everything you can think of is present. It is beautiful to enjoy the outdoors on the spacious terrace. With outdoor shower. Ina is a welcoming, kind and caring host. Recommended this cottage!
