Short drive to grocery stores and restaurants in Mariefred or Stallarholmen. Bed linen and towels are not included. Visit the historic Gripsholm Castle, go on nostalgic tours with the museum railway, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mälaren with the steamboat S/S Mariefred. With Läggesta station close at hand, you have easy connections to Stockholm.

Rum i gårdshus på mysig innergård i centrala Mariefred med sjöutsikt över Mälaren. Gårdshuset ligger i anslutning till Kakelmakargården från slutet av 1700-talet. Rummet har dubbelsäng (som enkelt kan skjutas isär till två enkelsängar) samt sovloft (en enkelsäng). Gratis parkering i nära anslutning (1 minut) till huset. Ett par minuters promenad från restauranger, butiker. 500 meter till Gripsholms slott, 300 m till Tucholskys grav på Mariefreds kyrkogård, utsikts över mälaren.

Take a break and unwind in this peaceful oasis. Enjoy the silence and the nature. Just a 20-minute drive from idyllic Strängnäs is this gem. Surrounded by forest, fields and a rich wildlife right next to the house. Don't be surprised if you see moose, deer, cranes and many other wild animals from the veranda when you eat breakfast. Here you can also book several different activities such as game safari, clay pigeon shooting, archery and lots of garden games to do on your own.

Guest apartment next to the lake Mälaren

The guest apartment is on top of our double garage. The place is about 40 sqm, and the ceiling is quite low at some places (please check the photos). We live in a house about 50 meters in front of the apartment. From the apartment you reach (by foot) the train station in 3 minutes, the city center in 10 minutes and the dome church in 5 minutes. We have bikes, skate ramp, SUP and other things if you wish to borrow :) Towels and bed sheets are included.

Welcome to our carefully renovated house from the 1600s! Here you live next to Strängnäs Cathedral and have the city center nearby. Our charming house also has an exciting story to tell. The house has had the privilege of being included in the popular history and building conservation program on TV, SVT "Det sitter i väggarna" in the fall of 2023. Of course, cleaning, bed linens, towels and coffee and tea are included.

The guest house is situated in central Strängnäs, on the street Gyllenhjelmsgatan that lead up to the cathedral. This street is commonly known as "The most beautiful street in Sweden". The house is from early 1800's and well kept in it's charm. During the summer guests have access to a patio in the garden. It is close to shops, restaurants, etc. 100m to the town square, 200m to the marina with restaurants etc. Welcome!

Charming guest house close to nature.

A charming guest house of 22 sqm with sofa bed and sleeping loft out in the countryside. Around the house is a chicken coop, garden and views of scenic Taxinge. With just under 2 km to Taxinge Castle, there are good opportunities to experience the "tile castle" through a walk or short drive. Great starting point for traveling around and discovering Södermanland's nature, but also Greater Stockholm.

We are far from the big city, but still only 1 hour from Stockholm, with a nice view of Lake Mälaren and the opportunity to sit on our jetty at sunset. Our guest house is about 45 sqm with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom (180 cm bed) and a small living room with sofa bed (140 cm). The guest house is built together with the main building and has its own balcony.

In this newly renovated guest house, you will find two single beds and a double bed in the loft, a patio with a dining area and barbecue, a toilet and a living room/kitchen.

The guest house is about 20 km from charming Strängnäs and Mariefred. Stockholm is about an hour away by car.
