Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Südwestpfalz

We were 5 adults on the trip to the cowshed. Already after booking we had very friendly contact with the hosts. Patricia gave us so many great tips for activities in advance and even organized us an away breakfast for Sunday:)) as warmly we were then welcomed on site. I can only agree with all the positive reviews: the cowshed has been renovated with so much love and it is simply very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped, the barbecue and terrace are a dream. A plus is, of course, the two toilets and two showers. The cowshed has enough space for 6 people. The absolute highlight for us was the record player and the LPs :)) it was also great that we could park in the yard and even right outside the door by car. Dear Patricia, dear Gabor, we enjoyed the days with you very much. Thank you for that...and for the delicious eggs from the "Cool Chicks" :)) we will be happy to come back ♡

We liked the stay in the Sonnenhäusle very much. The house is quiet and you can start hiking right at the door. We also received tips for hikes, which we tested directly and found to be good. 🙂 The house is well suited for 4 adults and the spacious garden invites you to relax. The communication in advance and at check-in was excellent. The house itself has everything you need and the sauna after a long hike was an absolute treat. We would definitely stay there again!

We were very pleased! Check-in was flexible and hassle-free The host himself was not on site, but we had contact with the parents who live in the house right next door. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and got a guided tour of the large garden, which we were allowed to use. Those who know the area know that this is the perfect starting point for hiking. We were in the property with two families and two children and there was even an extra high chair and travel cot for the little ones. Communication was quick and extremely friendly. In short: gladly again and a great tip for hiking enthusiasts!

It was absolutely excellent with Christian and Katja. The view is unbeatable and the apartment has been furnished with great care. In addition to the view, the kitchen is also a real eye-catcher, in which you really miss nothing. We felt super comfortable and would be happy to come back :) Even in the case of minor "complications", Christian was there for us and we were able to find a solution for everything. It was great! It is difficult to describe what a wonderful place this is. You actually have to experience it yourself to understand this. Rest, green, nature, a very complete private house, and Hildegard who wants to help you with everything. The energy of this place is wonderful for relaxing and being yourself. And Hildegard bakes delicious rhubarb cake. Our dog enjoyed the walks in the area and also liked to run in the garden. The garden is not enclosed but large enough to take a walk and enjoy everything that Hildegard's green fingers have brought to bloom. Tip: indeed, follow Hildegard's clear instructions to find the way, because the route planner kept sending us over a bike path!

The entrance to the cottage is via number 9, and then follow signs for "Haus Frieden". You can enjoy peace and nature here, you only hear crickets, birds and frogs. It is wonderful to sit/eat and enjoy under the veranda. On the other side of the road, you can walk into the forest where you can follow various hiking trails, usually you will not meet anyone, it is that quiet. It is nice to walk to the village Ludwigswinkel and have a nice meal or a drink there. You can also easily walk to the next village through the forest, Fischbach. Here you will also find a supermarket, bakery and a tasty doner/kebab shop.

Upsides: Leslie was a friendly and responsive host, even though we didn’t meet in person. Check-in was smooth, and the house was spacious, warm, and well-equipped—especially the kitchen. The fast Wi-Fi made it suitable for remote work, and the guitar was a fun touch. Downsides: The bed felt small for two and was made with a flat sheet and uncovered comforter, which I find uncomfortable. Foam pillows weren’t my preference. While not terrible, the bed setup just wasn’t to my taste—we didn’t ask for changes, though the host might have helped. Overall: We definitely recommend. Our two nights stay was rather short to enjoy the house, as we used it more like a hotel, we would recommend it for longer stays

I wish I could give Michael's space more than 5 stars, we had such an excellent stay! Michael was very helpful and responsive, always eager to give us recommendations and provide us with useful info (like when it was a public holiday and shops were closed). The place is very cute and unique as well! It's literally right next to the current Renchen train station so transport is easily accessible if you want to take a train. Renchen itself is a pretty little town with plenty of amenities as well, and my kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the ice cream shop. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, definitely stay here!!

We wanted a stopover on our trip from the Netherlands to Italy that was more than just a roadside motel, and we found exactly that. The location is stunning, with an easy and scenic drive through charming small towns. Nestled in a lush forest with fantastic hiking paths, the nearby watchtower offers breathtaking views, setting the perfect mood for our stay. The apartment is spacious, spotless, and just as described. Its old-school style enhances the forest cabin experience, complemented by modern appliances. Though it feels remote, we had no issues with water, electricity, heating, or internet. What truly set this stay apart was the warmth of the hosts. Karl, with his deep knowledge of the area, guided us through the best hiking trails, sharing local information along the way. Simona welcomed us like family and prepared a breakfast that felt like home-cooked, complete with homemade blueberry pie and Black Forest cake. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Arrive and feel good! A very great accommodation where you feel right at home😊 The spa area is super nicely decorated and you can use it at any time (10 a.m. - 10 p.m.). The garden is also beautifully designed with a barbecue and a seating area outside. All in all, I can recommend the accommodation with the warmest heart🤗

we were there for one night in transit. very nice apartment, comfortable beds! modernly furnished. we felt comfortable. In the immediate vicinity, however, there is nothing, no baker, no shop, etc. You can probably make day trips from there.

We stayed for one night in Niloufar's beautiful apartment and felt incredibly comfortable right away. The private parking space on the parking deck was only a few meters from the entrance door and the apartment was shown to us once during the welcome. All the furnishings are high-quality and really sparkling clean - for cooking yourself, you will find every kitchen utensil you can use in the kitchen; but there were also restaurant recommendations! The apartment was stocked with snacks and fresh fruit and everything was available for coffee/tea in the morning. We would have liked to stay longer - so we will definitely come back!

I immediately felt at home in the apartment with a fantastic view. The accommodation is almost too good for just an overnight stay. The quiet and cozy furnishings invite you to relax. Thank you for everything, especially for the hospitality!

Very nice place, homely, and everything was there. Very friendly people. We felt right at home.

The contact was incredibly friendly from booking to departure. She responded quickly to messages and was also spontaneously available by phone to facilitate the search for parking. A few hours before arrival, we were able to easily move our check-in forward - it doesn't get better. Upon arrival, someone also came out directly to show us the way. From front to back, she was very eager, be it cozy additional blankets, a phone call the next morning, whether we slept well or the great, small breakfast plate. Just great! It's not excluded that we will come again in the summer! At the beginning of March, it was a little too fresh - especially to be able to use the beautiful outdoor area properly.

A beautiful little house on a farm. Tania was very flexible about our arrival/departure and gave us good tips for the area. We will be happy to come back!

Wonderfully quiet place in a remote village. High in the sky, you may occasionally hear a plane, a car or a tractor passing by, but otherwise it is mostly the birds. It is a very cozy wooden cottage, very solid, and that is mainly heated by the wood stove, where plenty of wood is available that can be used, with tondel and small pieces of wood to get things going. Only in the two bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs) is electric heating, so you will not get cold. The living room area is a bit dark and could use a bit more lighting. There is no beautiful (not necessarily ugly) view, but the peace and quiet you have there is wonderful, although sometimes with the wrong wind you can vaguely hear the blades of a modern windmill. Not disturbing otherwise. Next to the door is a typical German restaurant and not bad, but also not 'haute cuisine' of course, for that we have other cities in the world. Without a car, it's far from amenities. Great!

We would describe Harald's place as a beautiful spot to go glamping, with the luxury of a normal roof, soft beds, a private shower and toilet and the option to cook. Absolutely beautiful area and Harald is very responsive and had some good suggestions for us to do around the area. There's a fire pit available where you can roast your meat above fire, when it's not raining. What we did not expect was the 40 fishermen at 6 AM who will stay around the cabin until 6PM, who use the public toilet right below the cabin. From the initial photos and location it wasn't clear that this was a fisherman's spot, and our son was looking forward to be able to swim close to where we sleep, which was only possible after 6PM. It was his idea to go camping, we didn't want to sleep in a tent so we settled in between :) Turned out our son had a different idea of camping so we left early. Still a lovely spot!

Lovely house in the countryside with a sauna and lake! We used the paddle boards and had visits from the friendly on site dog, Lucky. Great Greek restaurant nearby (10 mins walk). Really enjoyed our stay and such a friendly host. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Unfortunately, we were only here for one night, but we enjoyed the peace and the view. Klaus is a great host! 😊

We lived very quietly and secluded, with no unnecessary disturbances or distractions. There are countless castle ruins in the area, which are very easy to reach. Every day we were greeted by the animal neighbors. We really had a very good time and would love to come back.
