This is a renovated Kyomachi house near Gojo-zaka. A 100-year-old Kyomachi house has been transformed into a guest house where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old days. It is a luxurious natural material renovation that uses diatomaceous earth with deodorizing and humidity regulating effects, and unpolluted materials such as hinoki cypress and cedar, with attention to detail in the finish. The whole ceiling is covered with cypress, and the pillars, frames, and baseboards are also made of cypress, creating a space filled with the comfort of real natural materials and the scent of cypress. It is located in the Kiyomizu-dera Temple area, about 6 minutes on foot from Exit 4 of Kiyomizu-Gojō Station on the Keihan Line, near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most famous tourist destinations. The house was an Ochaya (literally "tea house")before and we renovated it, which is an establishment where patrons are entertained by geisha. We kept the original structure and make it much more modern and comfortable. The river in front of the house is the must-see in Kyoto changing from cherry bloom to maples. The best location near Gojo bridge and Kiyomizuーgojo sta. can make it very convenient to all the famous spots.

This authentic traditional Kyoto townhouse (machiya) is located on the central island of Kyoto, close to the river, Kyoto JR station and the city-center. It used to be a typical ryokan inn. In this traditional house of 3 floors, entirely refurbished on 2020, you will be invited to stay on the second floor and have your private appartement there. The house is composed of 4 private apartments.
