Farmstay holiday rentals in The Great Lakes

Emily's place is in great location. Very close to many great wineries and restaurants. The accommodations were fantastic. We felt right at home. It was very clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. We were even provided with breakfast items for our first morning there. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and had a great time. We really liked being in Michigan City and also positioned to visit other places easily. We went to the National Park multiple days (really loved the hiking and beach at West Beach), went up to Silver Beach in MI, and took the train into Chicago two separate days. The house was a great home base and I appreciated all the thoughtful “extras” it had for our daily adventures— ziploc bags, beach chairs, beach toys, books; and for when we were home, plenty of laundry essentials, s’mores stuff and nespresso pods!

This is such a beautiful home! Got the chance to unplug and feel right at home within the trees. Lots to do in the area too, went to the zoo, winery, and a brewery. Laurel was great and had a bunch of notes around the home that were super informative and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to slow things down and connect with nature.

Jordan and his family were incredibly welcoming, super friendly, and quick to help us get settled. The place is gorgeous and quiet, and we felt safe to leave the windows open at night to enjoy the breeze. Perfect place to stay for a little getaway. Host was able to offer some recommendations for small businesses in the area, and we loved exploring! Highly recommend this place 😊

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! We were visiting to celebrate my best friend’s bachelorette party, and the proximity to Galena was perfect for us! Dan and Kellie were more than accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to make our weekend perfect. The surrounding property is so beautiful and there’s so much to see and do. Sunsets from the deck were breathtaking, and we loved the walking paths around the property. It made for the perfect relaxing stay in the midst of a busy weekend. We will definitely make this our go to stay when we’re in the area!!

This property is absolutely beautiful! We had the best time playing tennis and basketball, going in the pool and sauna. The pool is cool which was so nice after getting super hot in the sauna. 10/10 recommend. The inside was beautiful and relaxing, felt like a perfect getaway and we will be back for sure! This place is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a peace of mind. The birds chirping, the beautiful view, friendly neighborhood and horses, I loved everything about my stay. Not to mention m, the bed felt like you’re sleeping on clouds and that view 😍😍 10/10! I honestly wasn’t expecting all of this but I HAVE to go back! Book that room !! You won’t regret it ! Just make sure you bring snacks and food because it’s not a lot of restaurants open past a certain time.

We stayed at the cabin for our honeymoon and it was absolutely magical. The sights and sounds of nature were incredible & the sauna was a perfect touch. The whole experience made us fall even more in love with Bayfield. Truly unforgettable!

Love. Love. Love. Watching and interacting with the goats, bird songs in the peaceful forest, and floating in the canoe made joyful memories for our family. The barndominium has an elevated, yet down to earth vibe. Comfy beds and all the things you need to make meals, so you can stay put. A lovely getaway to get back to nature and escape the rat race. 10/10.

We loved our stay at this cabin. There was a lot of thought, effort, and craftsmanship went into designing and building it. Everything felt intentional, high-quality, and welcoming. The surroundings were also beautiful. We saw all kinds of wildlife: deer with fawns, a woodchuck and her babies, a fox with a her kit, and countless bird species. I also caught a few trout at a nearby stream. There were hiking trails and a small stream on ther property. It was the perfect place to unplug and relax Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying if I could leave 10 stars I would. This loft was exactly as advertised and pictured. The detail put into this rental is second to none. If you want cute, comfy and clean this is the place for you. We have been using Airbnb for only 7 years and this was by far the cleanest rental we have had. The location is absolutely perfect if you are coming to visit the wine country. Centrally located between Niagara Falls and the Old Historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake its a short drive to either. Getting around to wineries and restaurants was a breeze from this location. The loft is so quiet and it was peaceful sitting on the deck and sipping some of our favorite drinks. Zoran is a perfect host and communication was easy. By the way, he is also a great chef providing his guests with delicious breakfasts and not the continental style like a lot of hotels! This is not our last visit to wine country and certainly not the last time we will stay at the Barnhouse Loft.

It was the perfect place for my long time friend and I to just chill. No mosquitos at all . I was so shocked .beautiful place , bicycle we could use ,kayaks every thing wrong needed . lol scissors, glue , iron it was all there. thank you so much for shareing your home . it was lovely

Immediate first impressions I LOVE IT! It gives all the vibes! Let’s see how the rest of the stay goes… not one complaint yet even allowed a hour early check in! A few days later and I must say it has been exceptional. The place was very nice and clean, private, safe and close to a lot of tourist attractions. Any questions we had was answered within minutes! And the jacuzzi was a plus ! We loved it. Thank you for having us I would highly recommend it to anyone. Only thing to note is the occasional bugs here and there but that was expected !

The perfect place for a weekend get away! Truly so unique. The barn was quaint and spacious. The alpacas were the best company - we loved spending time with them so much. Wayne who cares for the alpacas was very kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. Grateful for a magical place that we are going to hold many memories near and dear to our hearts. Can’t recommend this place enough :)

The cabin is beautiful and in a great location. We loved exploring the trails and cave. The hot tub was also amazing! We would definitely stay here again!!

Courtney’s place was perfect for our 3 night stay with our dog! We took full advantage of the kitchen and the fenced-in yard. Her location was great: off the main road but close to stores and the dunes! It was super comfy and clean with plenty of wildlife spotting. We loved our stay there.

We all felt like we won the lottery with Ken and rachel’s place! There was such attention to detail, such kindness in the communication, and we will definitely be back. You will not be disappointed!

My husband I used to be “locals” who lived not far from this fabulous property! We have been staying here for the last 10 years and it’s always better than the time before! It’s a beautiful peaceful unique property where we can enjoy the abundance of nature and the local wildlife. The cabin is authentic, cozy and just the amount of comfort and convenience. We can simply relax and enjoy ourselves here! Margret is a perfect host. She values our privacy at the same time makes sure we have everything we need and more! Still our favourite AirBnb experience! Very lovely farm house. We were all comfortable, felt almost like home. Wonderful gas fireplace kept us cozy & warm. All beds comfortable for sleeping. House beautifully decorated for the farm environment. We were able to get beef tenderloin steaks from Farmer John and grilled out on the backyard patio. There is a beautiful White Horse, a donkey & a mule on the farm that we shared carrots & apples with. House furnished with just about anything you would need while visiting. We hated to leave! We had such an amazing experience. The bus was everything we had hoped for. The location was beautiful and peaceful with gardens, wildflowers and wildlife. I was able to unwind in a unique setting.

This beautifully refinished cottage in a historic home was an absolute gem. The craftsmanship and attention to detail made it feel both luxurious and cozy. The setting is truly special—peaceful and picturesque, with a lovely pond just steps away. We especially loved spending evenings by the fire pit, watching the sunset reflect on the water. The hosts went above and beyond, leaving thoughtful little touches that made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Every part of the stay felt warm, inviting, and carefully curated. We will definitely be back!
