Family-friendly holiday rentals in Thousand Oaks

We loved the house and the location and enjoyed our stay. Our group of 12 friends, the max the house can accommodate, stayed for three nights. All of us had comfortable beds, all bedrooms have nice décor. The living room is large with comfy sofas and chairs. The dining table could seat 12 so it was great for all of us to sit around and relax. The house and kitchen were well equipped. The only items we had to ask for were extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels which were promptly delivered by the onsite caretaker. We enjoyed the pool table, and the library in the loft but didn’t get time to soak in the hot tub on the back deck. The property is surrounded by trees and greenery. The site and house are rustic but very comfortable. There are two full bathrooms, and both are upstairs. A half-bath downstairs would have been great, but it was only a minor inconvenience. Location is very convenient - just a 10-minute drive from Ojai downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Space felt very private, even when using outdoor living space. Amenities provided were exactly what we needed for our stay. Timothy responded very promptly with any concerns or questions. Bedding, linens, and furniture all very welcoming and comfortable. Incredible surrounding views. We love sitting in the back patio, watching the sunset.

Our stay at this magical home brought endless surprises. The land is full with citrus and native trees, surrounded by chirping birds. The overlooking view of the cliffs and tres from the front porch chairs brought so many happy signs of life, huge hawks, light from the sun, and glowing stars. The home itself is filled with handmade tapestries, colorful paintings, and unusual treasures that invite relaxation and play. The beds and bedding were super cozy and allowed for deep rest. The kitchen is appointed with everything you would need to cook, though the restaurants in Ojai were a short drive away. I made lasting memories in this unusual and welcoming home! And, Catie was beyond helpful. She worked with us our requests in ways that showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests. I felt so taken care of! We will return again to this place that inspired us to reconnect with ourselves and Mother Earth

Ari’s place is fantastic. I sat out in the patio every morning listening to birds and having coffee. Nice quiet cul de sac. House was exactly as photos represented. Amenities and kitchen and bathrooms were resort level. Great place and I’ll be back! Thanks Ari.

Perfect little beach hide out. I love the patio and the thoughtful amenities. It’s a very serene place on a spectacular beach. It has a Kuerig, so if you like drip or your own brand of coffee, bring a cone and filters.

Place is great. Just make sure you read the description properly, it’s only a 2 bed when requested.

Brooke’s place is absolutely amazing! I had a great time and you can’t beat the location. Super close to everything and the outdoor area is so nice!

My husband likes to say..."wow, that's why Michael is a 'super host'"! This home is what every air bnb consumer hopes for. It actually exceeds your expectation. He has thought of everything and more. Every detail is covered, everything you need is there. The home is immaculate and so are all the appointments, home appliances and gardens. There is a wonderful patio and barbeque too. I remember saying 'pride in ownership'. We had a different circumstance coming here in that we were displaced by the California Wild Fires. We found the comfort of our home here and the comfort of our hosts, who care. We had hardly anything when we got there and Michael and his wonder partner provided for, and had already thought of everything. We were fortunate this home was available when we needed it. As far as travel, if you are a tourist, I personally needed to get around, to our former home, and to work. The freeway is close by as are many wonderful restaurants. Enjoy!

Had a lovely three week stay stay at Alice and Eric's lovely guesthouse / cottage in Topanga! Very quiet and peaceful setting, guesthouse was private and spacious with everything you need, and I really enjoyed reading and hanging out on the patio and in the garden area on sunny days. So many great hiking trails nearby and it's only a 5-7 minute drive into Topanga Village or an easy 10-12 minutes into Calabasas and Woodland Hills where there are plenty of great grocery stores and restaurants. Wonderful calm and serene alternative place for a short or long stay compared to the many overly busy, crowded areas of greater Los Angeles. Highly recommend! Central location, place is clean, nice and as described.

My wife and I booked a last minute escape from the city for the long weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Murray greeted us upon our arrival, horses feeding by the driveway and gave us some carrots so we could introduce ourselves to them! Murray then led us straight up the hill to our airstream with breathtaking views. The property was sprawling with phenomenal sunrises and sunsets that started and finished our days. You can go hiking on trails adjacent to this property or spend time exploring the acreage. We went to the beach to surf during the days but made sure we took our time to enjoy the views while cooking our breakfasts and dinners at the rental. We even had fresh eggs arrive at the RV from their chickens. The nights were cooler but rest assured we were in no rush to leave the comfortable bed, and warm blankets when we could drink coffee, read and watch the sun rise from there! 10/10 we will be back and we highly recommend

I stayed here overnight for a dental appointment nearby, and I had no idea the home was used as the exterior for Boy Meets World. What a fun extra! Kassie was incredibly responsive, and was even flexible to allow me a late checkout due to my medical appointment. I absolutely loved the location and the yard for my dogs. It was a 5-star experience, and I would absolutely stay here again whenever visiting.

Jamie and Chuck were great hosts! They were super nice and friendly our whole visit. They were sure to let us know we could contact them about any issues or questions. The place is in a great location, there’s a lot of restaurants nearby and Universal Studios is less than 10mins away. They also let us use their drive way as parking which was great!

Michael and Laura were fabulous hosts. Before I checked in, they sent me a message asking about my favorite drink -- so that they could have it waiting for me! I felt like I arrived to a secret garden, with a darling welcome sign at the front door. The entrance feels fully private and the area is so quiet. The space is thoughtfully stocked, with everything I needed for cooking, showering, sleeping, relaxing. Michael checked in to see that I had everything I needed and was quick to respond when I texted about best walkable grocery stores or scenic walks. They are a perfect combination of warm and attentive, while also respecting privacy. This is my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed. And I hope to come back again! Seriously cannot thank them enough for a wonderful time and for sharing their incredible space with me! Hugs to you both -- fabulous job!

Their house is incredible, they were very fast to respond to all inquiries, we desperately needed a crib and they came over to put one together for us. My girls and I really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful atmosphere, exactly what we needed & what we were looking for. Only complaints is we couldn’t experience the waterfall (would have made my daughter’s bday even better) & also the pool heater. This prevented us from using the pool at night (water was cold) we would have LOVED using the pool from morning till night to take full advantage of the beautiful pool but like they mentioned, it’s expensive to maintain, so I def understand.

Peaceful and safe, yet still close to everything you’d want to do. 5 minute walk to restaurants and 15 min walk to grocery. There was always room for street parking but I just used Uber to get around. Cute little place to stay. Very clean and quiet. A little table to sit at or a comfortable chair inside. Outside is a pool with outdoor furniture and a tree swing. There is a lot of natural light and a motion light on at night, so if you’re light sensitive when sleeping just bring an eye mask. Patrick is a nice guy. He showed me around and explained everything when I arrived. He had some good recommendations. I didn’t need anything except the batteries changed in the tv remote once and he took care of it quickly. I’d stay here again!

Just right, goldilocks style. We hope to be back again regularly, and felt wonderfully comfortable, at home, easy. Living in BH even for a few days is a dream. The land, gardens, homes, and planning stand the test of time.
