Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Thunder Bay, Unorganized

Came to town for work and Lesley and her place were both great! I travel for work 8 months out of the year and wish every place I stayed had someone as helpful and easy to work with as her! I would absolutly stay with her again!

I stayed here with family for a North Shore getaway. This place was gorgeous, spacious, private, and quiet! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and ample shared spaces for cooking, watching movies, and relaxing together. We loved the proximity to Grand Marais and all the great North Shore hiking spots. The pizza oven was a blast to try out and I used the provided telescope to look at the beautiful full moon. If you’re looking for a private spot with family or friends to enjoy views of Lake Superior, look no further! We can’t wait to come back.

It was nice, quite and short stay. Beautiful place and hoss are respectful and responsive. Looks exactly like photos. Would definitely book it once again if I have to.

The house was perfect. Beds were insanely comfortable and the house was clean. Beautiful views, set right next to our favorite state park. Will be back for sure, several times!

We had a wonderful stay at Cheryl’s place. It had everything we could wish for, including great weather! Cheryl went out of her way to accommodate my special request for a DVD player so I could show my family a special film. The place is in a lovely setting and is even better than the photos depict. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and enclosed porch. I highly recommend!

Alexa’s place was very comfortable, convenient, and clean. It served as a perfect midway point between Houghton and other parts of the Keweenaw. There was plenty of space for the two adults and two children in our group with lots of room to spare, and I really liked how open the common area was on the main floor. This might seem small and insignificant to most, but as a coffee snob, I appreciated that there was whole bean coffee and a grinder. 😊 I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing didn’t want to leave! What a gem on the North Shore. The views and sounds of the waves were everything I wanted and more. The floor to ceiling windows don’t disappoint. I will be back. Very clean and cozy.

EXACTLY what we were looking for: a clean and comfortable base from which to explore the Keweenaw! Quiet residential neighborhood within easy driving distance to Calumet and Houghton restaurants and shopping. This place was even BETTER than we thought. Super tidy, very comfortable and well appointed. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

Communication with the hosts was smooth and fast before and during the stay. The studio was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the patio area, and reading by the fireplace in the evenings. It was so nice to relax on the lakeshore, and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops nearby. I would def stay here again!

Best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Comfortable beds(like sleeping on a cloud) amenities and extras, soda and water in fridge, even butter and milk and cereal, the tea collection, the back yard oasis, both day and night,pool, personal welcome, kitchen well stocked, bathroom extras from lotion to vanity sets. We felt very welcomed and accepted. We will stay here next time we come from the states!

MaryKate was very welcoming when we arrived. Super friendly! The surroundings were beautiful with a perfect view of the lake from the front windows. Walking distance to the North Folk School campus and good restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay there.

Loved our stay at Cedar's Seaside Chalet. Everything was exactly as described. The view of Lake Superior was spectacular. Loved falling asleep with the window cracked listening to the waves. Our son really enjoyed the sleeping loft with the skylight and video game. We were in Lutsen to support a friend running a 50K ultra marathon, so we didn't spend a ton of time in the condo, but when we did it was super relaxing and we crashed hard! Will definitely be back again!

A great location for larger groups to stay; the sauna, fire pit, and various bedrooms gave us plenty of space to do plenty of things. A great retreat after a day of hiking.

I needed somewhere to stay near Calumet for an entire month, and this place was perfect for what we needed!! We had every amenity that we could have needed during our stay. The area surrounding the place was beautiful, and just a short drive from Lake Superior. Everything was excellent and the hosts were easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area!

Kelly’s place was perfect for a winter visit! It’s about 20 minutes from Mt Bohemia and right across the street from Eagle Harbor Inn, where we enjoyed a meal. The house is spacious and bright, but also cozy. There are great xc ski trails about a mile down the road. The house is very well built, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Kelly was quick to respond when I had a question. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Super cozy and fun spot just a few minutes from downtown grand marais! We had a great time staying at this Airbnb while hiking some segments of the superior hiking trail. The space was cozy and we loved the fire, the comfy beds, and the chickens. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect—just a short drive to Grand Marais, but far enough out to really feel like you're up north. It was peaceful and scenic, a great little getaway. We also really appreciated that it's pet-friendly. Just a heads-up for anyone with a large dog: the stairs are quite steep, so keep that in mind. Overall, a cozy and relaxing spot!

This cute little cabin was the perfect spot for us to relax over a long holiday weekend. The surroundings are beautiful, and there is so much to explore along the North Shore. It is small and the perfect size for me and my husband. Would also work well if you had 2 small kids. Book this no-frills place if you want a break from the stress of the city. Just a short walk down the road to the beach and rock coast of Lake Superior. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

It really was a wonderful stay! This modern, cozy cabin has an open floor plan and vaulted ceilings that really open the space up making the cabin feel more spacious with great natural lighting during the day. The hosts were very active and quick with responses. Vicki gave a detailed list of activities, great eats, and points of interest. The cabin location is great, it feels secluded and remote but remains close to town as well as Calumet Water Works Park right off of Lake Superior. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone and would love to stay here again!

This cabin was cozy and wonderful!! We made great use of the screened porch and bonfire. We were able to enjoy the boat as well on a calm day, and the lake was beautiful! We watched Hummingbirds constantly come to the feeder on the porch, as well as an Eagle family hunt and fish. They were nested just a couple houses down. This place is pretty well stocked, and we felt right at home. Steve’s dvd collection is curated and wonderful! Perfect for comfy nights upstairs. This is a peaceful location, but we were within a 20-minute drive to several of the UP towns with activities and were quite close to the Delaware mine and beautiful beaches. Mt Bohemia is super close is you’re coming in the wintertime. Steve was a wonderful host. Highly recommend this cabin! Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to be back!
