We just got what we wanted: A user-friendly and cozy cabin in a quiet and scenic environment. Mathias was a perfect host. He responded quickly and pleasantly to our inquiries, and we felt at home in his cabin from the first moment.

Great place to stay for activities in the area. Will certainly stay here again if I return to Gaustablikk.

Beautiful location and beautiful cabin. In accordance with the description. There was some confusion about the bedding but neatly and quickly resolved. Host very friendly.

We were 5 people staying in the house in August. It’s a beautiful house as described with a great view over the lake. The information center for the national park is only a 2 minutes walk away. Nevertheless, the spot is private and very quite, perfect for a relaxing time. It’s a great spot for activities like hiking various trails nearby or visiting the national park. We were really impressed by the spectacular nature. The house was clean and had all amenities making our stay a great experience. Check-in was easy and very flexible. Stein-Arve was a very helpful and responsive hosts, providing us with many information on possible activities. We can really recommend the house for a stay in the area.

A fantastic log cabin in a perfect setting for the ski centre and climbing. The accommodation itself was clean and as described, welcoming and comfortable. Bo and Jeannett responded quickly to any questions and we're proactive in sorting out a couple of issues. Our only issue was that linen was not provided, which is understood in Europe but not something we, being from the UK, we're familiar with. This could have been clearer in the listing, but was sorted very quickly once this misunderstanding had had been communicated.

Really nice cottage in Gausta. Everything worked great, we could cook, sleep well and have a really cozy time in the cabin. Worth mentioning is the shuttle that runs between the ski slope and the cabin. Very comfortable and practical and absolutely free.

Idyllic cabin in the woods with herring river right outside. Easy access, and right by a major road (without it being disruptive to quiet and peace). If you like the simple, this is the place- no material luxury but you'll get it in peace and simple living where time becomes the luxury. Great hiking opportunities nearby. Isac is a super nice host who facilitated the stay to be just great

We, family of 4 w/boys 3 and 5 years, spent our Easter holiday 2021 at Trond’s cabin. The place is very children friendly with spacious living room and kitchen. We especially appreciated the cross country tracks only 10 metres from the cabin, which are maintained and fresh every day. We put rating 4 on cleaning, as we were a bit disappointed that we had to vacuum clean the cabin before departure, even though we had paid a cleaning fee. Nevertheless, we had a great Easter in Trond’s cabin and highly recommend it to others, especially families with small kids. We’ll be back :-)

Easy to find, clean place, beautiful and cozy style and beautiful surroundings. We would have enjoyed even longer time. Happy to visit this place again.

Beautiful traditional yet modern inside lodge and pristine mountain surroundings! Homely and awesome views! Everything you need is there and loads of extras. Highly recommended and great host

I took our 3 and 6 year old boys to Christina's cabin during the winter holidays, and we had six nice days with a combination of coziness and tranquility from the wood-burning stove and candles, and active outdoor time. A cozy cabin, close ski slopes and hiking terrain. Christina was very pleasant to communicate with, and responded quickly to messages with accurate and good information. Highly recommended for those who want peace and quiet, in a cabin with cozy and simple standards.

We had a fantastic time at Ulrika's beautiful cabin! It's very cozy, perfectly located within the Gausta ski resort and provides everything you'll need for a wonderful winter holiday. We absolutely recommend staying here, many thanks again to Ulrika and her family!

Nice place to stay in lovely area. Easy to find and good place for parking. Comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen. We would love to come again.

This cabin is just wonderful and our 2 families had an excellent stay. You can walk/ ski to the piste easily and there’s a great space for learners just there. Everything you need including a really good drying room/ store & sauna is there & the kitchen is well equipped and there’s games etc too. There is parking for 2 cars. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms lovely- we would all like to come back one day. Gausta is a small resort good for all types of skiing but also has a lovely hotel with great floating sauna/ bar. We drove to the telemark husky company at rauland ski area and stopped at a great cafe with huge snow play area on the way- would definitely recommend as a day out! Eric’s place was great- and he was super helpful

We had a great time at Gunhild's cottage. A real dream this view, the cottage is perfectly designed and has everything you need. Communication with Gunhild was great. We will be happy to come back.

We've had a great week at Christine's cabin. There's everything you need, and it's clear what to bring. Christine has been the most responsive host for all the questions I've thrown her way. The cabin is right on the green trail, so it couldn't be more perfect. There are also nice walks with the dog if you bring it. All in all, I can only recommend staying in the cabin and we are absolutely sure we will be back: -)

We had a great week at Alexander's cabin. It is very cozily furnished and very nicely bright with large windows and the fireplace. The layout of the cabin is great because there is also a small extra living room where you can retreat upstairs. Having 2 bathrooms and a sauna was very nice. The kitchen and the large dining table were great for cooking and for our game evenings. There were also a lot of games on site. We were able to walk the dogs well from the cottage because there are very few cars up there and with the new snow also make ski-in ski-out right from the cottage. 😊 Alexander was always available and helped us very quickly with every question. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! Thank you!!

Fantastic stay at Gaustablikk! We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Everything was perfect – the cabin was clean, cozy and just as described. The hosts were very accommodating and communicated well throughout the process. The location was also great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
