Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Torquay

The Lair is a lovely Air BnB close enough to the coast and Salcombe to enjoy the area, but far enough away to avoid the crowds (and price tag!). We ate there a couple of nights and the kitchen facilities were great. Walkable (but uphill) from Hope Cove where we had sourdough pizza on the beach from a local converted horse trailer. The garden is fully enclosed which was brilliant - so nice to be able to let the dog out for a wee without having to wander around in PJs and slippers in public with him on a lead! The car parking is also within the enclosed space so letting the dog in and out of the car was also convenient and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the South Devon coast.

This property’s location is perfect, whether you want to stay on-site and enjoy the vistas of Dartmouth or use it as a base to thoroughly explore the environs. It’s only a short walk into Kingswear, where there is a car or foot ferry to get across to Dartmouth or the steam train which will take you to Paignton. Communication with Mark was thorough during every stage of the booking and stay. The accommodation is divine and we’ve rarely slept so well; a combination of the Savoir bed and serenity within this hillside property. Nothing about the host, property or location could be faulted; exemplary in every aspect.

I was staying for work purposes so cannot comment on what there is to do nearby etc, there is a cafe directly opposite unfortunately I was unable to try it as I was setting out before they opened and I only got back once when they were still open but only 10 minutes before they closed lol. Tim's place is like the photos, it was very warm weather and whilst the porch got hot inside stayed cool which was appreciated :). Tea and Coffee with a small amount of milk was provided, which after a long drive was appreciated. A thick folder is provided with lots of local information. WiFi was great which I needed for work purposes, the shower was great and the bed was very comfy which my back can cause issues but not here, there were even sensor lights in the bedroom and hall which came on with movement which helps when it's not your home lol (I have learnt this and bring my own which I did not need to use). I would recommend and I hope to stay again when next working in the area.

A delightful secluded residence facing out over farmland. Although there is a farm and there are homes in converted farm buildings close by, you would hardly know they were there; the property has a separate entrance to the main farm that it shares with one other dwelling, which again you would hardly know was there. The property is as described and well equipped. Although the garden is very small, this is not really a problem with so much open countryside on the doorstep. Rich George was very helpful, responding quickly to our queries before arrival and welcoming us warmly with helpful advice when we got there but otherwise leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The climbing roses surrounding the decked area were divine. We can recommend North Sands beach as a paradise for dogs if they like the water; our visit was in early June and, on all but one occasion, we managed to park in one of the four road side parking spaces at the top of the beach (free for 2 hours) rather than pay to use

We went as a multi generational family and the house was perfect. An easy walk to the beaches and town centre which meant that we didn’t need to use the cars all weekend it was ideal. Thank you

This was without doubt the best Airbnb we've stayed in so far. Exactly as described, spotlessly clean, great location and a really lovely house. One point to note though is that the road is very narrow and there's nowhere to turn round on it (no through road) so it's best to reverse into the road and park. That point aside, we would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting the area. Definitely a 10/10 property.

Really lovely place to stay, place has lots to offer, biggier inside than looks from outside, lots of space clean, lots of extras available and very good contact.

Had a really lovely stay at Gary's cottage. not only was it really picturesque, homely and comfy but the facilities were great. and the location was perfect, so easy to get into central brixham within minutes. I loved the log cabin in the garden with the stunning harbour views, i spent a very relaxing afternoon there with my watercolour paints pretending I know how to paint! we both commented on how lovely it was to stay so centrally but not be able to hear the bars in the evening! It was just so very peaceful and relaxing! we both really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous cottage and can't wait to come back already! 💖

Clean, cozy and well equipped (kitchen, etc). Peaceful location and the extra amenities were great! (Swimming pool, etc). We would stay again.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

This is a very special spot. The farm is made up of the main house and several beautifully converted stone barns with generous balconies overlooking a stunning field and river. They are beautifully decorated, very comfortable and homely spaces that show the real care and thought of the owners who have done all the work themselves. The pool is amazing, with rotating 2 hour slots given to each barn every day. We would love to stay again and would recommend it to friends and family in a heartbeat.

Absolutely stunning place. Louise was the perfect host answering every question I asked. The pool was a great hit with us adults and of course the children. The farm tour was lovely and Louise was very understanding when my little boy had a nose bleed whilst feeding the calves. I would highly recommend a stay at The Grange!

It was a privilege to stay in this beautiful family home. The location was sublime, peaceful and idyllic. The quirky access was amusing and great to be so close to the Ferry Boat Inn. The house had everything you could wish for and more!

What lovely owners, so friendly and gave great recommendations for local places to visit. The apartment looks newly renovated and they provided everything we needed for our stay (Even a doggy food and water bowl and towels to dry our dog). Beautiful location with lots to do.

Beautiful apartment, just a short walk from Meadfoot beach. Excellent host, and plenty of parking right outside the apartment. One of the best UK holidays we've ever had!

The pictures don't do justice to the property. Is better than it looks. Spacious rooms, confy beds , cosy furniture, friendly host ...all reviews are spot-on . Is not possible to give more than 5 stars ✨️. There is remote controlled canopy which we used it (was warm but raining for 30 min )and enjoyed the whole afternoon without issues and I am underlining that because U can see it in the picture but there is a table with umbrella and won't pay attention to the rest(when got there found upgraded table ,bigger, square with gravity chairs) No words...we felt straight away like home. Thank you Stephen.

David and Catherine were extremely accommodating hosts. They were quick to respond and there was always an open line of communication. The apartment was excellent and well located for the harbour, bars and places to eat out. Would recommend.

The accommodation is right in the centre of the village next to the carpark and tea rooms and across from the pub - idyllic location. Check in was well communicated and we had no problems locating the owner and accessing the property. Inside, the cottage annex is beautifully decorated and furnished and is very comfortable for 1/2 people. It is very secure as the courtyard is gated and locked. Beautiful walks around Cockington are on your doorstep. It is a truly beautiful location.

A lovely, homely cottage. Clean, spacious and beautifully presented with a private parking space and garden. The bed was very comfortable which is a must to get a good nights sleep after a busy day exploring the sights or relaxing on the beach. The cottage is in a great location. It was very easy to find and within a short walk from bars , restaurants, local shops, the Model Village and more importantly the beach. At one end of the street is a bus stop, for £3 you can go to Torquay Harbour. We caught the ferry to Brixham for the day. So much to see and do. We highly recommend a visit to Greenway, the holiday home of Agatha Christie and also a trip on the Round Robin. We booked this at Torquay Harbour. It's great value and includes a bus from Paignton to Totnes, a ferry on the River Dart to Dartmouth then a steam train back to Paignton. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would like to return, not only to Torquay but also St George Cottage.

Really nice top floor flat with great views of the harbour. Glenn was a top host and really responsive providing clear instructions. Would highly recommend!

We loved staying at Louise’s place. It was the perfect base for my husband’s sailing event and a short walk down to the harbour where there were lots of shops/cafes/restaurants. The apartment was extremely well equipped, very clean and spacious - certainly enough space for x4 adults and a couple of little ones. Louise was kind enough to leave a travel cot and highchair for our youngest. The parking was very handy too. We had a fantastic time in Torquay and will certainly be back.
