"Traditional Cornish Cottage, Cosy and Homely"

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A lovely cornish cottage with great garden for our dog & very convenient parking right outside thd front door which is good for the price. A good & handy welcome guide. We walked to Charlestown which only takes 15 minutes & is beautiful, had a coffee & really nice stroll, beach & harbor walk. We drove to Mevagissey which only takes 20 minutes, enjoyed the atmosphere, shops & a pasty here. The only downside was couldn't find anywhere nice right where we were like a cafe. Busy traffic but quieter at night. Only tip for cottage would be curtains for room our daughter stayed in for coziness & block light out more & a curtain to go accross front door for the same reasons. Other than that its a spacious, pretty & clean cottage, checking in and out was simple. Thank you.

Lovely private double room with en-suite shower

Alana & ChrisRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Without hesitation I would stay with Dawn again and/or recommend her place to friends. Dawn went out of her way to help me feel welcome, comfortable and safe. In addition to providing a plethora of written materials about the area, she freely spoke with me about activities she thought I would enjoy. When I was having some difficulties booking travel arrangements, Dawn was there to help and made sure I was off safely to my next adventure. Thank you Dawn!

Traditional Cornish Farm House in Gorran

DianaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I was looking for a peaceful weekend exploring the area and my stay with Victoria was just what I found. Comfortable accommodation in a traditional Cornish home in a beautiful part of the county. Had it not been for the two squirrels on the side of a house, which was described by Victoria as part of her instructions, it would have been difficult to find. Thank you for a lovely stay. I hope to be back some day.

Spacious house, garden and parking in Polgooth.

KevinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
John and Viv were lovely hosts and made us feel at home from the outset, with milk and some very nice chocolates in the kitchen. We were confident that they were approachable and would help in any way we needed. Their home is in a quiet secluded location at the edge of Polgooth yet within easy walking distance of both the village shop/postoffice and the local pub, the Polgooth Inn which is good for ale, ambiance, dinners and breakfasts. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean with every facility we needed. We had sole use of the large front garden together with BBQ and outside dining. In addition it is a good central location in St Austell bay so we were in easy reach of beaches from Polkerris to Porthluney cove. First class hosts and a smashing place to stay. We had a great holiday!

Stonemasons cottage

Great spot, walking distance to 2 pubs unfortunately neither does meals at the moment but takeaways also close and good (Indian and Slappys) pub was happy for us to take food there. Aldi and laundrette close by. Best Cornish pasties at Pearce's butcher just across the road, also has good cheese. Walked to Charlestown and did a walking tour, very informative. Eden project and Wheal Martyn clay museum close by...both worth a visit. Donna was great with a fantastic sense of humour, Mark was away so didn't get to meet him. Lovely outdoor area to sit in the sun. nice to see the vegie garden. Had no trouble finding a parking spot close by. Instructions for finding the place were perfect. Bed was very comfortable and not too fat pillows. All we needed for our 4 night stay. Thank you

Woodland Room at Treetops, Duporth Private Beach

DianaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We stayed at Rich & Clare’s to visit friends in the area, so we were familiar with the location, however, they also had a lot of information available for guests to use. We booked relatively short notice and were very pleased that they could accommodate us. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet, near all the local amenities and points of interest we planned to see, just what we wanted. We had a bit of unplanned rain, but it was nice to just lie in bed for a bit in the morning, looking over the greenery and listening to the birds. Having a dedicated parking space is always a bonus and the breakfast items were well put together thoughtfully and more than we needed to get us started. Would definitely stay again.

Delightful self-contained annexe

We had a great stay at Andrew's though it was short. The house was very comfortable and well equipped! Walking through the neighbourhood was very pleasant and there are cute cafes about a 10-15minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here! Thanks Andrew
