Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Trier-Saarburg

Staying at Philippe’s place in Eisenschmitt felt like stepping into a Jane Austen novel—absolutely magical. The house is half of a beautifully preserved old building, with Philippe living in the other half. Every detail was chosen with care: a charming mix of antiques and modern touches, fresh flowers, and even a bottle of champagne to welcome us. Philippe was a wonderful host—present when needed, but always respectful of our privacy. The house sits next to a babbling creek, and it’s incredibly peaceful. We had access to half the yard, which our dog absolutely loved. Philippe is very dog-friendly—our dog had a big, comfy bed, a welcome treat, and plenty of space to run. We also really enjoyed the valley the village is set in—quiet and picturesque, with a beautiful hiking path leading to an old abbey and a lovely little bakery. It's also just a short drive to the Manderscheid castle or the nearby volcanic lakes (the Maare). A truly special place to relax and recharge.

Stephanie’s place is the prettiest and loveliest Airbnb we’ve stayed in to date. The pictures accurately represent how beautiful her home is. It’s incredibly homey, with all the touches that make it feel like you’re coming back to a home after a full day out. The view of the horse farm is so nice to observe while having breakfast in the mornings. And the backyard was lovely to have a beer in the afternoon while listening to the sounds of nature. The location was nice as it was away from the center of everything so we had a reprieve from the business of it all. It was a great location to explore so many towns in the Rhine. Stephanie’s recommendations were so helpful too (loved the winery/wine bar that’s just 5 min from the house!) I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place. The natural lighting, the space, I could go on and on!

We had a wonderful time staying with Petra and Constantine. The house is spacious and the design is relaxing. The sofas and beds are comfortable and indulgent. The outside enters into the house thanks to the big windows. There are lots of items in the house that make your stay comfortable and indulgent. We were four adults and a baby and gained a lot from the division of the house into 3 floors. That way every couple had their space and on the ground floor there was plenty of space to hang out together. It was nice to walk the vineyards that come almost to the house. We also enjoyed the descent and climbing on foot to the old city of Trier. The view in the way is great. Everything was clean and tidy. Petra was available to us and responded positively to our requests. We didn't see any fans in the house, maybe in the hot days make sure that Petra has a fan. Highly recommend!

It was absolutely excellent with Christian and Katja. The view is unbeatable and the apartment has been furnished with great care. In addition to the view, the kitchen is also a real eye-catcher, in which you really miss nothing. We felt super comfortable and would be happy to come back :) Even in the case of minor "complications", Christian was there for us and we were able to find a solution for everything. It was great! Great place, Gisela was very helpful! We were worried about getting there with our small car not an SUV, but it was not an issue at all, the road is very easy and accessible. Tinyhouse was very clean, even tho it was a bit cold outside we could turn the heating on and it was very cozy. We were mainly going to different cities around and I’m a bit sad our stay was short because I would love to enjoy the nature around. It’s a perfect place to stay for people that loves countryside, want some peace and quiet in their lives even just for a weekend ❤️

We have planned a week's motorcycle holiday in Germany, but with 2 dogs it is quite difficult to find a suitable place. This was no problem for Klaus! A large garden where the dogs had the time of their lives, and enough space inside so that they could relax after playing while we went for a ride. There is a small electric bbq available which we certainly made use of. The only thing that may need to be taken into account is that there are no (working) charging stations nearby, so if you have an electric car, plan your trips well! Fortunately, the historic city of Trier is close by where there is plenty to do and you can also charge your car 😁 We had a great time, thanks Klaus!

It was a great weekend at Jay's place! There were six of us at Jay's Wellness country house and we lacked nothing. In the kitchen there is every electric device that you also have at home, as well as dishwasher, dish towels, etc. In the bathroom you will find the bathtub with hot tub, a large shower and towels of all sizes. Each bedroom has a large bed, partly with electric shutters and a variety of infusions are available for the sauna. Due to the various seating options outside under the awning, under the new pergola or directly by the pond, variety was guaranteed. In addition, there were 2 outdoor hammocks, which provided relaxation. Jay is a very likeable young host who responds to the wishes of her guests. The whole house is furnished with a lot of love for detail and there are even enough blankets available for cool evenings. We felt very comfortable with Jay, will definitely come back and say THANK YOU

It’s a very clean and comfortable place to stay and Elke made us welcome. There’s a shortcut to the station if you come by train. It’s better to have a car. Recommended.

Dear Monika, I would have liked to give you SEVEN STARS! You were so kind, helpful and accommodating, which greatly simplified our short trip. The apartment is very nice, bright and friendly and lovingly furnished. And quiet, although so central. We really felt totally at home, not like in a vacation home. Even the contents of the fridge would have given everything you needed for two days. Thank you for that! And also for the little welcome gift! To stay at Cordula's place was a great choice: Her apartment is in a great location and an easy walk to the city centre. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The communication with Cordula was very responsive and friendly. We can highly recommend staying here.

If I could give higher than 5 stars I would! Every host should strive to be the host Elena is! She goes out of her way to communicate and make sure you have everything you need! She has thought of everything! A beautiful welcome gift, fresh flowers on the table! Chocolates and biscuits in jars and condiments in the fridge! Top end appliances with complimentary coffee and milk! The bathroom has beautiful products that are too many to list! Maps and books for Trier already in the unit for multiple languages! Incredible linens and the most comfortable bed so far on our trip! This apartment is what every apartment strives to be! Sparkling wine and water as well! Elena was very responsive from the time of booking up until our arrival! Please don’t hesitate booking! Great location close to the Altstadt and very quiet! Very professional! Very nice apartment in a quiet location. Ideal for a hiking weekend. Our dog was also very welcome. Half an hour from Trier, definitely worth it!

Very beautiful building, very beautiful window view, the sound of the river is the best sleep aid.But there are a few more mosquitoes, so you have to be a little careful.

I only stayed for one night, but the apartment was very cozy and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The host was very attentive and responded quickly to my questions.

We were at the Rock am Ring festival over the Pentecost weekend and found a great place to stay at Myriam's. The old apartment has a lot of charm due to the high ceilings and the old wooden floor. The decor is stylish and we felt right at home. The only problem we had was that the shower curtain was unfortunately too short, so that water always ran out when showering. The second time, we tried to fix the process in a good position with hair clips. It was always a bit cumbersome, but it wasn't that bad. In addition, the towels were very thin, which was not so comfortable when drying. Apart from that, the accommodation was perfect and the communication with Myriam was impeccable! She was very friendly and helpful. We had a good time and were able to relax in a comfortable bed and return to the festival the next day rested. Will come again any time!

Our family of four, with two young girls, had an absolutely incredible stay at Jürgen's farm! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The girls completely fell in love with the family farm – it was such a unique and memorable experience for them. The Airbnb itself was really comfortable and truly had everything we could possibly want or need. The surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful, and we quickly realized that four days just weren't enough to explore it all. We're already dreaming of our next visit! I cannot recommend this place enough! The property is amazing and has everything you need for a holiday. It is spacious, beautiful, very clean and has an outstanding balcony, facing the river and a castle. What more to wish for? The balcony is also located above ground so it gives plenty of privacy. Tom and Tina are super friendly, easy to communicate with, helpful and provide clear instructions and a helpful tour at the start. Recommendations about local restaurants and amenities are also available. If that was not enough, they offer a complimentary bottle of wine from the local winery! Amazing to start a holiday or a weekend like that. Finally, each bank of the Rhein is easily accessible by ferry, which is less than a 5 minute drive from the property, so the location is excellent, whichever part of the river you want to explore. The space was clean, spacious and well appointed. There's nothing missing. Check in instructions were great. The couch is a little small for two people for a cozy TV evening, but you could use Netflix freely, which is not the rule.

We had a wonderful surprise getting to know Luxemburgo and Jiuliang's place is the perfect place for that! Very nice and clean, it has everything we need. It's actually our second time there and I highly recommend. Super easy to get the bus to go to Luxemburgo centre. Note that the public transport works excellent and is for free in all country. We really intend to come back very soon and definitely stay in Jiuliang's place again.

The stay in Gerben and Susan's apartment was great! We had wonderful days and felt completely comfortable! Gerben and Susan were very helpful and warm - absolutely recommended!
