Holiday rentals in Tripoli

My wife and I had originally planned a two-night stay, but an unexpected storm knocked out power to the entire town. Mona reached out to us right away and was incredibly responsive and accommodating as we adjusted our plans. Since the power wasn’t restored until the next day, we were only able to stay for one night. Mona generously refunded us for the night we lost and even gave us a discount on the night we were able to stay. She also welcomed us to check in as early as we wanted once the power returned and offered a late checkout so we could make the most of our time. The cottage itself was beautiful and relaxing, and we’re very grateful we still got to enjoy a night there!

Great host and place!

The location is prime downtown real estate. There are several local bars/restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. I stayed, unbeknownst, to me during My Waterloo Days which involves a parade and party on the corner where the loft is located. I don't know what insulation magic they use in the bedroom but I had no idea anything was happening outside. I used to live in Waterloo and had no problem finding the loft but if you are new to the area, I suggest checking in during daylight hours or you may get lost. There are other apartments in the building so people could be heard in the hallways or above the apartment but nothing of much concern. The security in the building made me feel safer. A code is needed for every door and even the elevator. All of the amenities listed were present and more. The pictures are 100% spot on for this listing. If the need arises again I will stay here without hesitation.

Great location and Very quiet. Close to shops if you need anything you may have forgotten to bring. Host responds great! We hope to stay here again if ever in the area!

My wife and I came into town for a graduation and stayed five nights. The property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Amazing walking trails, very close to downtown with bars and restaurants.. The view of the river was really the highlight for us, escaping city life for a peaceful riverfront retreat. The house was well equipped and we needed for nothing. Tons of space and friendly neighbors. We saw plenty of wildlife and watched boaters go up and down the river. We will be back and look forward to staying here for years to come. I was born and raised and the town and never saw this great riverfront location.

A true hidden gem. The cabin has everything you could ever want for a quiet family getaway, and Paul is so incredibly friendly and beyond accommodating. From the farm fresh eggs and homemade kolaches, to the fishing, hiking, kayaking, board games at dinner, and stargazing by the campfire, this weekend was truly one my family will remember for a lifetime. As our kids (8 and 10) grow older, we’re finding it harder and harder to get their attention. But we saw something this weekend we’ve so rarely experienced - slowing down. This cabin and the property surrounding it are so captivating it helped us show our children there are simple pleasures in life that are hard to come by these days. The joy on my son’s face as he pulled fish after fish out of the pond, and the look my daughter gave me across the fire as we made s’mores will be forever etched in my head. Thank you Paul for the experience of a lifetime - we will be back!

This was the nicest rental I have ever stayed in! The quality of everything was top of the line, and Joe and Kelly spared absolutely NO expense to make this space truly fabulous. From the quality of the appliances and furniture, to the beautiful details in every room, to the handwritten card welcoming us and local chocolate and wine (which were delicious)...there was absolutely not a thing that could have made our stay better (other than staying longer!). We saw rabbits, tons of birds, turkey vultures, hawks, deer, chipmunks, and squirrels, and enjoyed seeing the animals in their natural environment. What a spectacular view! My boyfriend (whose birthday we were celebrating) said it was the nicest house he's ever been in, period. If you're a fan of FL Wright, you will adore this house and all the details that show the love and appreciation for his work. We will most definitely come back, it was worth every penny! Thank you, Joe and Kelly, for being as amazing as your cabin! :)

Our stay at the cottage felt like a true retreat from the city. It honestly was more than we expected. The peaceful surroundings were like no other property we’ve stayed in. The home itself is beautifully built, thoughtfully decorated with all the needed modern amenities and spotless. The hosts were also welcoming and kind. We do hope to return!
