The one-room apartment is really very nice and exceptionally tastefully furnished. You can see that an architect with a love of detail was at work here. We felt very at home for a week and enjoyed Saumur and the surrounding area from here. The apartment is fully recommended without restrictions. Only the entrance and the staircase are unsuitable for people with mobility impairments.

A sweet house with a nice garden!

We enjoyed a relaxing week here. A quiet rural location surrounded by vineyards but only just beyond the edge of town so a quick drive (or a long walk) gets you into the centre. The flat on the ground floor was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of places to visit as well as the famous chateaux. I particularly recommend the visit to Ackerman winery, not just for the famous sparkling wine but for a stunning art installation in the cave created with fluorescent thread and ultra violet light. A very comfortable accommodation (three bathrooms for two bedrooms! with a sauna), spacious, with a beautiful exterior and a possible walk on the small road that borders the Authion. The hosts are extremely considerate: warm welcome with homemade cakes, friendly advice and discussions. The accommodation is very quiet and we slept very well. Everything was perfect!

I spent one month in the apartment, working remotely as a change from Ireland which was still very much in COVID lockdown. I could not have been luckier with the apartment, the beautiful building and garden, the town of Saumur and with Christiane as my landlady. I had a very, very special time there- the apartment and building is timeless, beautiful, safe and tranquil. It’s location is perfect in the old town of Saumur. Christiane was the most wonderful, welcoming person who is spent some quality time with and it was an honour to get to know her. It was a fantastic place to call home when I was there. And I have taken back some really wonderful memories. I miss it already. Thank you Christiane!

Very welcoming and responsive hostess. Catherine is always attentive and always present if needed. Regarding the accommodation, it is not only perfectly in line with the photos but also and above all very well located less than a minute from the tram, 15 minutes' walk from the Cathedral and the Castle, 5 minutes from the train station less than a minute from a convenience store. The value for money is more than appropriate and there is everything you need (utensils, etc.). I highly recommend this accommodation without hesitation. And I sincerely thank Catherine for the stay and wish everyone to enjoy it too.
