Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ulsteinvik

What a wonderful home away from home for a long weekend! The house is part of two different worlds - one the rural Norway of the past and the other very much the present. Being on a working dairy farm also made us reflect on the sources of our food and how much we take for granted day-to-day. We enjoyed convenient access to kayaking, hiking, cruising the fjord by ferry to Geiranger, and cooking local foods in the well-appointed kitchen. Special thanks to Synnove for fresh home-baked bread and sending on our way with slices of cake for the journey.

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Idar war sehr hilfsbereit und gut zu erreichen als es Probleme mit dem Hottub gab, die dann gelöst werden konnten.

Kjempefint og sjarmerende hus 😊 Godt utstyrt med det en trenger for å bo. Litt avsidesliggende sted, men med bil er jo ikke det noe problem! Herlig med badestamp 👌 Traff aldri verten, men lett å kommunisere med henne på melding, hun svarte raskt om det var noe vi lurte på. Oppholdet anbefales av oss, vi bestiller gjerne igjen om vi skal til området ved en senere anledning!

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon - everything from useful hiking suggestions, quick to bring us anything we needed, to a magical hotpot experience! We couldn't have asked for more out of our stay of from Venise and Gaby. The location was perfect for accessing the less known hiking spots but still with those spectacular views, as well as being close to the ferry so it was easy to hop over to Volda. It was peaceful and we loved the views over the water, and we made good use of the fireplace for cozy evenings. Don't be put off by the road near by, there is very infrequent cars so you hardly hear anything at all!

Var kjempe rent i hytten når vi ankom. Veldig fint innredet og nydelig utsikt fra jacuzzien! Perfekt plass å være for å slappe av og kose seg :)

We loved staying here! The house was the perfect size and so cozy. The view was amazing and the proximity to hikes and Runde island to see the puffins were perfect. Check in was easy and the host is very responsive and helpful. It had everything you needed and felt like being at home, If home was overlooking a fjord and mountains! Would definitely stay here again I absolutely loved it!

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold i denne fine hytta! Hytta var ren, koselig og hadde alt vi trengte for et avslappende opphold. Beliggenheten var nydelig – stille omgivelser, vakker natur og perfekt for å koble av fra hverdagen. Anbefales virkelig, og vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

Sonja was kind and communicative and her home was perfect! It was a wonderful retreat and had everything we needed. Proximal to all the gorgeous sites in the area. Would recommend in a beat!

We had an amazing stay at an amazing Norwegian farmhouse with hiking nearby and floating saunas on the fjord in Sæbo. Very central to take ferries wherever you want to go. We highly recommend staying here!

Vielen Dank an Mette und Einar für das Vertrauen uns Ihre private Unterkunft zu überlassen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben nichts vermisst. Einar hat uns am Abend unserer Ankunft persönlich empfangen und uns das Haus gezeigt und die wichtigsten Dinge erklärt. Auch während unseres Aufenthaltes haben sich Mette und Einar nach uns erkundigt. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Very convenient stay right in the centre of Alesund. The apartment was old but very neat and very clean, simply what we expected from the pictures.

What a magical place! The house is in one of the most breathtaking spots we’ve ever visite right between the mountains and the water. Waking up to those views felt unreal. The home itself was cozy, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay. Endre was a great host very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was clear before our arrival. The check-in was smooth, and we really appreciated how quiet and private the area was. It was the perfect escape from the city and gave us a chance to really relax and enjoy the nature around us. Genoten van een prachtig huis met geweldig uitzicht. Randi reageerd heel snel op vragen. Het huis is geweldig, en al helemaal als je met een grotere groep bent. Het was heel schoon en het rook er fris. Lekker dichtbij de ferry die je naar het adembenemende Geiranger Fjord brengt. Hopelijk tot een volgende keer.

Trygve's place is cozy, clean, and Trygve made us feel right at home. He found and offered information on a local tour when we told him we were looking for it. You will love the beautiful scenery and the culture and history you'll feel in this lovely home.

Monica and Ivar are great hosts. they are very welcoming and helpful. The stay is very nice and cozy and with all the amenities. There is a bus stand just right outside the house and it takes only 15 minutes to go to Alesund central. The view from the house is also a bonus.

We had a wonderful stay with Edith & Jon Arne in Norangdal and look forward to returning next summer! The scenery was beautiful, the home was exceptionally clean, and the warm welcome we received from our hosts was the epitome of hospitality. The beds were very comfortable and the tiny details of comfort were not overlooked. Blackout curtains for the midnight sun helped ensure a good nights rest. The homemade chocolate confectionary and scones were a culinary delight! It is so special to enjoy time with truly talented people.

A great stay! We went there for a local beer festival, which was in a walking distance. The place is greatly located above a convinient store, so it was easy to get food etc. The place is like home comfortable and nice. The beds were super soft. Lise Katrin was super helpful and inviting host, where we got great information and communication.
