Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Unterammergau

The place was just great! Everything you need was there and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. The children were allowed to feed the rabbits in the garden, you had your private area in the garden and the mountain panorama was awesome. A really great, family-friendly accommodation. There were even high chairs, a changing table, a baby bed and games for children and adults. The area invites you to many activities - it is not far to Imst, the Ötztal or the Pitztal. So a great starting point. Daniela and her husband always had an open ear for questions. A clear recommendation for a family vacation in the mountains!

Even the greeting by Pauline conveyed a good feeling of being welcome. It was like staying with friends.

The apartment was perfectly appointed. Wonderful views, extremely comfortable and all the home comforts needed. A short and very pretty walk into town, where there are several nice restaurants and places for coffee and drinks . The view from the balcony is stunning. Britta was a super a helpful host, assisting us with restaurants and local information. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Simon's house exceeded our expectations. It was not only very lovingly and high-quality furnished, but also sparkling clean. We immediately felt at home. Communication with Simon was quick and smooth. He was always there when we had questions and kindly provided us with a shelter for our car when heavy hail was forecast. The area is very quiet, the house has a really good and inviting energy due to the large amount of wood. From Großweil, you can easily reach all the beautiful lakes or hiking trails. There is also a small supermarket in the village and in Murnau there are also larger markets, if you need more. We longed for rest and quiet this week and got just that. We had a wonderful time with Maria in Geißach! The lovingly expanded Alpine-style hut is a real gem – very well maintained, cozy and idyllically located at the end of a hermitage. We especially liked the quiet location on the mountain, surrounded by orchards, where you can sit in the shade and watch the calves. The amenities were excellent, especially for our little son: baby travel cot, high chair and even a stair gate – everything was available and in the best condition. Despite the quiet location, you can reach Aldi or DM in a few minutes by car, and the area also offers many beautiful excursion options. Maria was a very warm hostess, with whom you immediately feel welcome. We will be happy to come back!

We had a wonderful time at Theresa's in Pfronten! The accommodation was very clean, cozy and perfectly equipped – ideal for our stay with children. Theresa is a warm and helpful hostess who provided us with great tips about the area. The location is great: quiet, but still central, with a beautiful view of the mountains and many excursion options nearby. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back. Absolutely recommended!

With one laughing and one wistful eye, we look back on our stay with Georg and Gisela. Nostalgic, because time passed too quickly and we could have stayed forever... A week was simply too short! Laughing, because it was so beautiful and we are already looking forward to our next visit to Waltersberg. We can only agree with all the previous great reviews. Georg and Gisela are wonderful hosts, as they could not be better: attentive, warm, helpful and in short people to like. The house was charming, cozy, sparkling clean and well-equipped as expected, the beautiful garden very idyllic, full of flowers and well maintained, the charming surroundings and the short distances to the most beautiful mountain and lake landscapes are worth a trip anyway. We had fantastic hiking weather - and the accommodation was the ideal starting point: In just 15 minutes you are in Imst to explore a scenic and alpine high-altitude trail with the gondola. In 45 minutes you can reach the highest waterfall in Tyrol (Stuibenfall in the Ötztal), and if you are looking to cool off, you can drive to the Plansee in 50 minutes and swim or walk through the gorge (Stuibenfälle canyoning meeting point). The kitchen is a real highlight for self-catering - rarely so well equipped on Airbnb! Especially great: the guest card, which Peter proactively organized for us (thank you!), with which you can gondola in Imst for free every day. For families, there is a small sandbox, a large terrace with a fireplace and a spectacular view. Note: The terrace is shared with the neighbors. We were very lucky with them - nevertheless, a privacy screen would be pleasant when sunbathing while cooking next door 😉

Beautiful location in an old farm converted into a tourist chalet. Beautiful view of the countryside and the castles of Louis 2. The only negative point is the poor quality of the bedding, which spoils the stay. It's extremely unfortunate that the bedding isn't up to par with the accommodation, as it's still the basis for renting a place that's often overlooked.

We had wonderful days in Grafenaschau! The apartment is very nicely located, as you can travel in all directions - via the Murnauer Moos to Murnau, to the Staffelsee and up to the mountains. Not recommended without a car, however, there is no bus and the train station is a 40-minute walk. You can park there and then take the train, which runs once an hour. We were very lucky that we had sun and snow up top the whole time! Grafenaschau is very quiet, you are completely away from everything, the café is nice and the village shop very friendly and well stocked, we felt very comfortable. The contact with Miriam and Christian was very nice. Our top excursion tips: Walk around the (whole) Staffelsee, Schloßcafé in Murnau, with the Bimmelbahn to Unterammergau and on the Pürschling (cabin, very exhausting, 2.5 hours ascent, but absolutely worthwhile!), Café Krönner in Murnau, Seerestaurant Alpenblick in Uffing with magnificent lake views.

We had a great stay at the apartment. Everything was sparkling clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location near Garmisch was optimal for us. Communication with Theresa was also very straightforward.

We had a wonderful holiday with Josefine in Bad Bayersoien. The accommodation was as described, quaint and lovingly furnished so you felt right at home. Josefine is a loving host who always strives to make sure her guests are doing well. She also always had a suggestion ready for excursions and hiking tours. The accommodation has provided the ideal starting point for us to explore the region around Bad Bayersoien and Garmisch Partenkirchen and discover a variety of sights. Likewise, a lot of hiking routes are nearby, which was also very appealing to us. The place offers plenty of self-catering opportunities with a village shop, bakery, some restaurants and a gas station. We can only warmly thank you again for the unforgettable and fantastically quiet vacation in the countryside! Hope to see you again!

Rosi and her family are super hospitable! We felt very comfortable and will definitely book again. The farm ice cream is very tasty and the cheese is also highly recommended!

What a gem! Oberammergau is beautiful and this place is the perfect place to stay. Spotless, beautifully presented and private, with easy parking and within walking distance to the village. Highly recommended!

We had a nice time and felt right at home. The apartment is quietly located, very well equipped and clean. In the basement are a few nice surprises for children ;) You can do a lot in the area and don't need a car for many. Stefan was always available and responded quickly. All in all a great holiday with a clear recommendation!

Susanne's place in Murnau is very warm. In good weather, the view of the Alps is beautiful and the small terrace in front is very pleasant. We made the majority of walking trips between the studio and Murnau station, it is doable and the path is pleasant, but you have to like walking (about 30' to the center of Murnau and 40' to the train station). Close to the apartment, there is a lady who offers Thai massages. We enjoyed it and enjoyed it.

Christina and her family offer a truly lovely stay. The location is perfect — peaceful and serene, yet just a short drive from some of the most beautiful sights in the German Alps. Staying here felt like being in a cozy alpine cabin. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, perfect for a quick meal after a long day of exploring. One of the highlights was enjoying dinner on the balcony while watching the sun set over the mountains. While there's no AC, with the skylights open (just don’t forget to close them before you head out!), a gentle summer breeze keeps the space cool and comfortable in the evenings. Everything feels fresh here — even the birds seem extra cheerful, singing every morning. Parking was easy, and Christina was proactive, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for rest, nature, and a welcoming home base in the Alps.

My sister and I were super satisfied, the kitchen is well equipped, there is an oven and a microwave. The rest of the apartment is also well equipped and maintained. There are bed linen and towels, even a hair dryer is provided. Would come back any time.

We spent 12 days there on summer vacation in the preseason. The apartment is perfectly equipped, lovingly furnished and from the private terrace you have a beautiful view of the mountains. By bike or car, an ideal location for activities in all 4 directions. Simone was very friendly, unobtrusive and gave us some tips. We would come back anytime and can recommend the apartment.

We found Michael's accommodation very nice, clean and quiet. There were already many things available, such as salt, pepper, detergent, soap and toilet paper. There was a lot to do in the area, whether in the mountains or by the lake. Overall, we really enjoyed our vacation at Michael's.

We loved Carolin's space - specially the nice balcony area with nice views of the mountains. It was extremely clean, made us feel welcome and cozy and had a lot of space to enjoy a comforting day after being on the mountains. Carolin was always very attentive and flexible - it was simply smooth and great. I wish I could have stayed there longer :) will come back

The apartment is well located for both hiking in the surrounding area and access into Innsbruck. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The private outdoor terrace had tremendous views and was south facing yet still secluded. Small, well appointed supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Overall I would highly recommend.
