The Swan House is an old family house on the cliff, under the beautiful lake of Zbilje. It is very unique, peaceful place, which is very good situated. The old part of the house is dated 1905. Many books, texts were written here, because the proprietor is very known anthropologist from Slovenija. So, place is good for personal research, reflections, and of course discovering the country. A simply wonderful place. Completely immersed in nature, Forest Nest A-Frame is one of those places that make you forget the noise of the world and rediscover the pleasure of simple and authentic things. Every detail is cared for with love and attention, with a deep sensitivity towards the environment and sustainability. It is clear that the creator has done so with the heart, thinking of those who love the earth, the silence of the forest, natural materials and a more conscious lifestyle. Everything is harmonious, welcoming, respectful...from architecture to the way you live the space. I loved staying there. It's an experience that leaves a mark, a small retreat that I think is truly unique in the world. I hope to go back!

Barbara's place is in a beautiful location with amazing views. Her kitchen and dining place was really big and had all the possible amenities. If you rent a car you can easily visit the tourist spots. She was responsive and flexible with our check-in. The only thing I would mention is that entry to her property is via a flight of wooden stairs so it would be difficult if you have heavy luggage. We have already suggested her to add relevant pics so that people know about it.

We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect way to say goodbye to Slovenia. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive, and the outdoor space is truly amazing. We had a lovely late afternoon by the pool, playing ball with our son, such a special moment. The house stayed pleasantly cool, which was perfect for the hot day we had. This place was a thousand times more beautiful than the photos – truly a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was very private, spotless, and had such a cozy, homey feel. It instantly felt like a warm embrace. Rudi, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we had a question or needed anything. He genuinely went out of his way to make us feel welcome and at ease. A lovely bonus was Luli, the outdoor cat who belongs to the property. Just like her owner, she made us feel right at home with her calm and friendly presence. She always made our day when she came by for some food and some pets. After ten days, saying goodbye was bittersweet – it really started to feel like our little home. We honestly can’t recommend this place enough and would return in a heartbeat!
