Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Venice Canals

Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely home in Venice! My children, my Mother, and I enjoyed our trip to California! The home was neat, clean, and was equipped with everything we needed. Thank you!

I love the homeyness of the place and the outdoor spaces are unbeatable. The home has its quirks but that is to be understandable being by the beach and in a metro area. The bed and furniture are comfortable, the kitchen has what you need typically, and the garage is full of extra amenities including that very useful parking spot.

Michael's home was great for our three-night stay. I was unfamiliar with the area so I was a little nervous before arriving. Thankfully, the home was away from all of the craziness of Venice Beach but still very walkable. Beach was one block away as well as Starbucks which was very convenient. The home was so cute and clean. The only thing to note is that the one bedroom is a separate entrance from the main house (as stated in the description). It was not a problem for us as we didn't have any children in our family but just something to point out.

Zev & Melissa’s AirBnb was great! Check in was very easy and instructions were very clear and helpful. The home matched the photos and the unit had all needed amenities. The beach was steps away and lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We hope to stay here again soon!

Shell House was the perfect stay to end our road trip! Courtney has been an ideal host, no question was too much, she was always quick to respond and so accommodating. The house it’s self was so idilic and the aesthetic fit the location. It was close to the beach and Abbott Kinney BL for shops, coffee and restaurants. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone considering a visit to LA to book Shell House.

Jimmy’s place is charming and comfortable. It’s quiet even though it’s on a main street. It’s close to restaurants and a short short walk to the beach is amazing! Jimmy is also quick to accommodate for any questions I had, which was much appreciated. He made sure I successfully checked in. This is a great place for the single traveler. Just minutes from Venice Beach boardwalk and the Ocean. Only 1 avenue over on 4th. catch Big Blue Bus 18 to Santa Monica Metro, which connects you to all of LA, Hollywood, and even Universe Studios. The shower is absolutely AMAZING! Susan has provided lots of extra items to help you out with your stay. Several other buses connect you to Marina Del Rae, Lincoln Blvd., and Long Beach. Great place at a great value. The tv buffers a lot, not sure why? The Apple TV remote stated disconnect ,maybe written instructions could assist.

Great stay! Well decorated, clean, and conveniently located walking-distance to everything we needed. A bidet is always a huge plus in my book. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Peaceful location on the Venice canals. Sweet little place with an adorable kitchen. Everything you need for a nice getaway. Bed was comfortable. Very walkable along the lovely canals and close to beach and restaurants. Host was very responsive and kind. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this cozy Airbnb in a very nice and convenient part of Santa Monica. The space is thoughtfully designed and makes excellent use of every corner — even including all types of phone charging connectors, which was a great touch for travelers. The backyard is beautifully decorated, and we really enjoyed having breakfast out there both mornings. Smitha was a fantastic host — very communicative and welcoming. She even shared some fresh fruit with us, which was such a kind gesture.

We had a wonderful stay at Drew's place. The apartment is clean, bright and spacious and was equipped with everything we needed. It was really easy to park outside and great to be within walking distance of Abbot Kinney.

Been coming back again and again. Just an awesome spot in Venice if your are alone or with a partner. I’ll be back

Listing was clean and as described. Location was walkable and close to many metro bike stations, where you can rent bikes for pretty cheap. I’d recommend going up north more towards Santa Monica than south towards Venice.

Absolutely thrilled about our stay here. It’s a beautiful condo with the best LA decor. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also- Having a WORKING washing machine in an Airbnb was a game changer! The rooftop views- wow!! How cool to have a pool and hot tub on the roof! There is also no reason to feel unsafe at this location (I saw other reviews with some worries). The security at the front desk was AMAZING. They will not let anyone in that is not supposed to be in the building. They eventually know you by name and greet you. They walked me outside to show me exactly how to get to the convenient parking garage provided by the host. (The parking garage is just as secure!) I could go on and on about our experience- but it will only allow me to write so much! Thank you so much Brandon! We will be back! If you want to stay downtown LA- stay here.

Very nice place to relax after a busy day in LA. The patio is beautiful and inviting. The place itself is cute and perfect for 2. An Avis car rental is literally around the corner which is super convenient. Although most restaurants and busy Santa Monica streets are not far, be aware that it is a good 20-30 mn walk through a commercial area to get there.

This place was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the water! Beach access was also great to have very close by! It was great being able to fall asleep with the sound of the waves! Amazing air bnb to stay at!

Sam and Amber are great hosts and their place is perfect for a few days Santa Monica and LA. It’s very close to the beach, pier and the 3rd street boulevard (shopping and restaurants). Both of them replied quickly and were always helpful. The apartment has everything you need and is well equipped. The free parking in a garage is a big plus! We would come back and can absolutely recommend the two and their apartment!

I had a fantastic stay at Tianna's place. It was exactly like the pictures, right on the main street with easy access to public transport to Santa Monica beach. Parking space was a big bonus. Tianna was extremely friendly and responsive, and the house was fully stocked with anything you could need, from complementary drinks and coffee, to toiletries. 10/10 would recommend.

Cara’s place was awesome. My daughter and I stayed there for 3 nights and it was a great experience. Cara was super responsive and her directions and details for using her space were very helpful (parking, keypad access, etc). The unit was clean and pretty and had everything it said it would in the description. The garden was fantastic. It was so lovely with palms, a banana tree, succulents, flowers and the gorgeous fountain. It was a great base camp location for us because we crammed a lot of sight seeing into our short time in LA. We were able to walk to the 3rd Street Promenade, Ocean Front Walk and the Santa Monica Pier, from there we rented the public bikes and rode one-way to Venice to explore the boardwalk and canals. We could go on and on and wish we could have stayed longer!
