Perfect house! Magda welcomed us with everything we needed and with an extra treat! We definitely recommend it. Suggestion for those who are driving: do not access via the street below, which is very narrow. Follow the upper road and make a U-turn at the cafe to access the street of the house. Gerês surprised us! Very quiet place and exuberant nature!

Perfect for a private peaceful getway! It is located is a small village, but still very quiet. The view is amazing and the place is comfortable and full of light! We walked 2 minutes down the to swim in the river every morning. The owner is very responsive and aways helpful.

What a WONDERFUL stay at this charming farmhouse! From the moment we arrived it was perfect! The property is so beautiful with its lovely gardens, fruit trees & the view of the mountains. We spent the majority of our time, when we were not out exploring, enjoying the pool & having all our dinners outside under the covered outdoor grilling area. We took advantage of the grill & enjoying pizza (yes, there is a fabulous pizza oven!). The house was so comfortable, clean & the kitchen had everything we needed & more. Carlos & Christina are stunning hosts....so kind & friendly & gave us so many suggestions of what to do in the area...restaurants, villages, waterfalls, etc. We CAN'T WAIT to return! Obrigada for a wonderful stay! (note - if you are driving be mindful as directly accessing the property can be tight if you have a larger car)

Accommodation with great conditions to receive 5 people. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated, with a phenomenal view of the Cávado River. Well-equipped kitchen. We were able to prepare full meals without any problems. The location, right next to the river, allows us to be surrounded by nature. The host's readiness to respond to any questions or requests throughout the stay should be emphasized.

I had a phenomenal week in an empty village, the house was very nice and perfectly located to enjoy a couple of calm days in the nature. I fell in love with the place and sure will be back!

Fantastic property. House itself is immaculate, exactly as represented in the photos. However outdoor area is where to spend your time. Amazing pool area, outdoor kitchen / BBQ, massive table under pergola to laze the hot days away, and spend every evening cooking, eating and just having a good time. We survived the ‘great Spain and Portugal power outage’ while there, and it was probably our best night - BBQ, candles !. Max 15-20 minutes into Geres National Park for stellar hiking. Cannot recommend this property more 👍👍

The stay at the house was wonderful and unforgettable! The house is very special, large, comfortable and with everything very good taste!! Sounds like a movie. The view is spectacular, the pool and the entire leisure area in the river is very good. Communication with the host was very quiet. I highly recommend it!

Diogo and his father were fantastic hosts. We spent nearly 3 winter months at the property and loved it. Everything was perfect as described. The location is outstanding, immersed in nature....the best sunsets and sunrises i have ever seen. The house is well equipped, really comfy with a modern looking . We definitely recommend it and cannot wait to come back in summer.

What a great place. Bigger that I imagined, with beautiful view from the garden that was impecable. The swimming pool has a wonderful location facing the view and taking the sun all day which kept the water in a perfect temperature. I'll definitely come back!

It was a good experience. We had a bit of miscommunication about the pool but Sara and Mr. Carlos were very proactive and solved the issue very fast. The house is very comfortable. My dogs were allowed to roam free. I recommend it and if I have the opportunity, would book again.

When we arrived at the property we immediately felt relaxed and at peace - the view is simply incredible ! The outside terrace is big with beautiful views and plenty of seating, a BBQ, heated lamps etc. Inside is spacious - a good kitchen, a lovely record player, lots of sofas. The location is great - you are so close to so many amazing outdoor activities - we really enjoyed exploring the rivers, mountain walks and the Lagoons ! Many thanks !

Beautiful accommodation, clean, well arranged, great pool, quiet in the middle of the countryside and in the Portuguese tradition. Casa with spectacular views, very comfortable beds, the fireplace gives comfort at home on the coldest days. It is a little more than 1km from the center of Rio Caldo, with a supermarket and restaurants. 7 km from Vila do Gerês and 45mn de Braga. For more than 10 years on Airbnb I have never seen such a kind and caring host! Isabel is very responsive to questions asked! The accommodation is in a peaceful location facing the mountains very close to Gères National Park. The pool is a real plus! So there are beautiful walks and different activities nearby ( waterfall, quad biking, buggy, jet, pedal boat). I recommend it without hesitating! ☀️

Happy stay, the house is beautiful and clean. Pool is very good with sun loungers. Fruit trees and a river. The house offers very fun board games for kids, so it makes the house great for bringing kids.

No matter how many years pass, the Hospital House will always be, for us, synonymous with hospitality, welcome and friendship. We spent in family a wonderfull week. Our teenagers enjoyed the private swimming pool and the billard . The house is spacious and confortable, in a very calm résidence and surrounded by végétation. The owner Antonio was attentive, available and answer very quickly even WE could not meet him . Very nice place to discover the North of Portugal. A car ils recommanded because need 30mn riad to reach Braga.

Very good house, with plenty of space and everything very clean and tidy. The house was very well equipped with air conditioning in all rooms. The pool area is a barbecue area and is great for spending time relaxing. Great views of the beach and river, where you can go on foot or by car very close. I recommend it!

We love the stay. The space is very clean, organized, we have absolutely nothing missing. The entire space is private including the swimming pool. Mrs. Luísa is very friendly, helpful and attentive. No doubt a repeat experience.
