Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Vila Praia de Âncora

Really beautiful home with stunning views, absolutely loved our stay here thanks for having us. Fully equipped kitchen and the space is absolutely gorgeous throughout. Brilliant outdoor area for dining and sunbathing. Garden and pool in full sunshine whenever you want to use them but a nice shaded area for dining. Only slight disappointment was the home did not have air con as advertised (it was underfloor heating) so we were quite hot at night and struggled to sleep. The heating system was adjusted and our host provided fans for each bedroom to try and help cool the house. Overall fantastic property.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We have been five days, four couples, and we have all left delighted, both with the house and with Rosa and Pepe, who are two wonderful people. The house far exceeds the photos you see, the views are spectacular, the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and the kitchen is not lacking in details. We'd love to come back as soon as I can. House at the top very very clean everything was nikel everything smelled very good Very nice host couple. Everything was available to us. A lot of kitchen amenities Basics: oil, vinegar, salt , pepper , spices, coffee, tea and much more All the necessary equipment for the baby: bed , potty , small bathtub, high chair. Exterior terrace, BBQ kit, outdoor equipment Only small downside in one of the bedrooms the mattress was not of very good quality so no good sleep but nikel in the other 3 bedrooms No neighborhood noise (except the bell tower every half hour) Stay at the top if we had to do it again, we'd do the same

We were a group of 4 adults, a 9 month old baby, a 2 year old, 2 dogs, and the house was perfect for everybody! Great space inside and outside (dogs enjoyed a lot exploring around, very safe), big bedrooms - each one had its own bathroom (they provided a cot for our little one), and a very well equipped kitchen. Isaque and his mom were very responsive, caring and available, made our stay super comfortable, providing some nice little "gifts" and local treats for us to enjoy along the days. We had a lovely and peaceful time. The pool is amazing, it had nice views as well. Not much to do around the area (I'd recommend to take everything you need for the entire stay), just little walks or hiking (you need a car to reach the closest town or the mini market), so if you are looking to spend some days with family, just enjoying nature and away from the every-day-rush, this is your place.

everything perfect, very quiet village and in the middle of nature

We were in Caminha with the family over New Year's Eve, a very special experience. The house is very nice and in very good condition, the lower floor is new, everything is very tastefully furnished. The garden has many opportunities to linger. We could imagine it for the summer at least. The view over the river, the mountains and the town of Caminha is fantastic. The host is great! We felt very welcome and everything was completely relaxed. So, Don’t think twice, just enjoy and relax!

The house is very good, clean, comfortable, with all equipment for a great stay. Tania is a kind person, concerned with offering the best, and quick responses. It made our check-out flexible, and since the wi-fi was slow on account of the supplier company, it immediately provided a signal repeater that solved the problem. Indico !

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was cute, and Maria was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a rural enclave between Braga and Barcelos, providing easy access by car to surrounding towns. There are three large comfortable bedrooms, a dining room and a large terrace with a great view. The bathroom was newly renovated. A few things to consider: the gas stove was fine, but the oven appeared to be wood-heated, so not practical. One of the 2 bathrooms was outside the apartment, in a shared space downstairs. The pool, instead of a standard above-ground swimming pool, was more like a raised pond. It was good for a dip, but it wouldn’t have been good for small kids (no steps or shallow end) or for swimming (too small). The animals were super cute though city folks like us might be awoken by the roosters ;) There was also noise from the nearby highway. On the whole, we were happy with our stay and would stay again! A cute, convenient apartment with a lovely host :)

Bruno is a great host and the apartment is a comfortable nest for families. The pool is a great plus. The house shared space are awesome. Communication and support are impeccable.

We were invited to a wedding at the Quinta Solar da Levado in Amares, Cidalia's house is quite close (8 min) which is rather appreciable in case of fatigue. The house is very, very large and clean on a double level. A beautiful vegetable/flower garden is a great way to enjoy the good weather. Cidalia is very responsive and gives very clear instructions. As a traveler, just remember to bring cash to pay the municipal tax.

The villa had everything we needed and more — every detail was so thoughtfully designed, and it was spotless. The space is even more stunning in person, with a warm and stylish feel throughout. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made everything super smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this stay, but it became one of our favorites in our 15-day trip! The pictures do not do it justice! The grounds are breathtaking and we felt right at home. This is the perfect setting for a rural Portugal retreat. I need the house is the perfect combination of old and new! Would recommend 100%!

We love and hope to repeat the stay at Toorgo House in the future! Both Mr. Manuel and his son Pedro were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the process and stay. Always very available to help us both at check-in and check-out, they even sent a list of recommendations for the area! The house is even better live! Super clean and decorated with care and quality. We feel right at home! Mr. Manuel's family was also kind enough to welcome us with a delicious birthday cake, a gesture much appreciated by all (and especially by the birthday girl!). The entire property is very well maintained, including the garden! The area is friendly and easily accessible with amenities nearby! I dare say it was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in as a family! We highly recommend it!

Sergio’s property was gorgeous - even better than expected. It was the perfect location for a family get together from ages 8-80. Would highly recommend to others and hope to be back again in the future!
