Kristin has been great with communication, offering early check in as soon as the place is available. Location is excellent, lake front, next to many restaurants and most importantly, 3 min walk to Wai Ariki hot spring which is the main reason for our visit to Rotorua. Note though because of the proximity to Eat Street - Friday night particularly can be very noisy , music well into 1am . The pull out couch at the study does sleep the 5th guest, but the study is more a recess from the kitchen area, so whoever sleeps there bring eye mask and ear plugs.

I had read the great reviews for this place but it still exceeded my expectations. If available this will always be our first choice for accomodation in Te Awamutu. The location is right in the centre of town but still so private. The apartment itself is stunning, with quality furnishings, it was such a pleasure to stay here. It is very spacious but cosy, the bedrooms are beautiful with quality linen. The living area is fabulous too. If you book here, you will be so glad you did!

Breathingtakingly beautiful place with a stunning view of the lake. The living room was huge and cozy, filled with clean energy flowing throughout the space. The fireplace was such a huge bonus, especially on a cold wintry night. Stuart was friendly, responsive and communicative throughout our stay. We will love to come back! 10/10 recommend!

Awesome wee modern cottage only about 5 minutes from Kati Kati township. Would happily stay again.

I stayed at Glori’s place for a couple of nights on work trip. The place is great, good location and Glori offered some great tips on places to eat etc, she even leant me an umbrella which was kind of her. Would recommend!

Beautiful, peaceful and private place. Very clean, comfortable and warm. Marie was very responsive and extremely accommodating, letting us check in quite a bit early. Beautiful view. We'll definitely stay again!

Beautiful location with scenic views over the lake. The studio is really well equipped and the small details really made a huge difference - electric blanket in the bed and snacks for hungry hikers. We loved mountain biking in redwood forest and then coming back to watch the birds on the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in. The photos don’t do it justice. Spacious, warm and very clean home. The views are spectacular. It’s close enough to the town, with the bonus of being private. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

We had such a fun time at this property. We visited with friends for my Fiancés birthday and it literally had everything we needed! The favourites were the hot tub and table tennis table. The beds were luxurious and comfy with amazing views from each room. It was so peaceful and relaxing - we all had a perfect time. Thanks so much for having us!

I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and cozy place. The accommodation was very tidy, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a true home away from home. The shower was great, and the heating system kept the space warm and comfortable throughout my stay. The location is quiet, with lovely surroundings and a great sense of privacy — perfect for relaxing or focusing if you need some calm. Communication with the host was smooth and easy from the beginning. They were very attentive and made sure everything went perfectly. Highly recommended — I would happily stay again!

The Starling Box is definitely the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Janina is an exceptional host - she gave us a lovely, warm welcome and showed us all around her beautiful, modern home. The home itself is clean, well appointed and has all the comforts of home. We appreciated the extra touches that are evident throughout the house that make everything cozy and comfy - from warm blankets to a well kitchen stocked with delicious breakfast items, coffee, tea and snacks. I really recommend staying at Barb's place, it's got everything you would need for a short or longer stay. There's lots to do in the area and Barb gave some great recommendations and helpful information. As a host Barb is the best I've ever had, fast response time, friendly and very helpful, she really goes above and beyond!

The apartment was perfect. Good underground parking. Close to the venue we were attending. Just a couple of minutes walk to the city centre and restaurants. Very quiet. Arihia and Char were excellent hosts.

We had an amazing four night stay here. The apartment was excellently furnished, the location effectively on the lakefront was fantastic and the outlook across the lake to Mount Tarawera was beautiful. We could not have wished for more. Thank you Murray for being such a great host

Louise’s place was fantastic - even better than the photos! It was spotlessly clean, had a beautiful view of the lake, and included thoughtful touches like free condiments. A very comfortable and welcoming stay. Highly recommended!
