Holiday rentals with lake access in Warren County

The River house was a great stay! We had our six kids with us and the house had all the things we needed for water fun and toys inside. We kayaked and went birding - saw an Eagle and Osprey show down over a fish which was super cool, the kids saw wild turkeys one morning! The house had everything we needed and the shed was a big help for the outdoor fun. The screened in porch had a ceiling fan which made it so nice to relax out there this June. The privacy is really wonderful around the house. We definitely want to come back!

The house was well out into the country with a beautiful view. Very quiet, but I think there must have been a river nearby because trucks carrying canoes went up and down the road a number of times a day. We saw a ton of deer. One word of warning is if you drive to the house towards evening and after, go slowly as deer run out into the road. We wanted for nothing - pretty much everything we needed was at the house. Other owners could take a lesson from Edward. There were a ton of spices for cooking, many cooking utensils, coffee and filters, even bathroom items like shampoo, Q-tips and cotton balls. The house was well equipped.

Our family loved our stay at Ken's place. The house was extremely clean, the listing gave us a great feeling going into the rental, and we were not disappointed upon arrival. The property and scenery were fantastic. Our kids loved going out onto trails, creek, hot tub, local lake, and feeding the animals. We all wish we booked a longer stay and we will be back in the near future.

Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

Shiloh Lodge, which my friends and I have renamed, Chateau Shiloh, was everything we could have hope for and more. Sadly, it rained 3 of our 5 days but it didn’t matter. This home was so comfortable and welcoming and relaxing; we didn’t care we were rained in. There were puzzles and games and books and great streaming services to keep us occupied. However, we barely used those amenities. We spent those days cooking and talking and sitting in the rocking chairs looking out the sliding glass doors and watched and listened to the rain, watched the wild life and of course, looked out at the beautiful mountains and the river. If you need a place of peace of mind, body, and spirit renewal, Shiloh Lodge is the place. We thank you so much, Diana , for such a wonderful experience. Take care.

Absolutely the Best Airbnb Experience We’ve Ever Had! This was our first vacation with our 9-month-old daughter, and it couldn’t have gone more perfectly. The house was exactly as described—immaculately clean, extremely spacious, and thoughtfully designed. We loved everything about the space. The hosts were outstanding—very responsive and checked in with us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. We even had the pleasure of meeting Deb while they were working on a nearby property—she was so warm and friendly! We’re already planning to return to one of their homes this fall because the experience was that incredible. We also loved how much there was to explore in the area. Highly recommend—this was easily the best stay we’ve ever had. Thank you for being so professional, welcoming, and kind!

This was our second stay in one of Ryanne and Jay's places; we wanted to return because we really like their way of hosting both in terms of warm, friendly, responsive communication, and it's also always clear that they've really thought through what guests might like and need for a good stay. The house was really well equipped for cooking and they had thought through lots of details which made the stay really lovely. We weren't traveling with kids but there was lots in the house for kids. It's a bit of a drive into Luray but the tradeoff is a beautiful setting and remarkable peace and quiet and the house is closer to the National Park entrance.

⸻ The home was beautiful and had a warm, homely feel. This was the third home we’ve rented on the lake, and it was by far our favorite. Beautiful home in a beautiful area. The booking process had extra steps that I've never had to do before like uploading a photo of my driver's license and answering several questions about our family. I felt a little uncomfortable giving all that info out, but we had to book last minute due to a family funeral and didn't have a lot of options. All in all we did have a nice stay. Everything was beautiful, well organized, and suited our needs.

Cute clean house. Comfy beds and a clean hot tub. Enjoyed the deer walking around outside. Whitney was extremely nice and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

We were in town for a wedding and this place was perfect for 5 of us. Everything was exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Beautiful property, beautiful views, and an unbelievable night sky. It's definitely a place you want to try.

we loved the forethought they had for the needs of their guests. and a lot of times it was the 'little things' that had the greatest impact...the 'unnecessary' touches which made things so comfortable (ample hooks/cubbies/drawers, hot tub towels, plug-in nightlight/flashlights in every room, binoculars, great games, and more!). probably the best part of the experience was knowing they trusted & respected you as guests. there was almost a case of toilet paper & paper towels in the pantry, a full bottle of laundry detergent, tub of dishwasher pods, full pack of sponges, full bottles (NOT attached to a wall!) of shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc. - and they weren't afraid you were going to take it all home w you! there was NO angst. just a wonderful experience. our final favorite part is that we were able to purchase the great "mountain mama" coffee mugs we enjoyed using during our stay. a great souvenir to have for such a memorable trip...

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb near Luray. The views were absolutely stunning — peaceful mountains and rolling hills all around. We visited the Luray Caverns, which were truly breathtaking, and made a stop in Woodstock for some amazing BBQ. The house was cozy, clean, and perfect for relaxing with friends. We spent our evenings laughing, playing games, and enjoying the quiet. It was the perfect spot to unwind and make lasting memories.

Only needs a weekend spot to attend a wedding in Winchester. The house is way up on the mountain, so going in/out was a bear. Pretty much get what you need before heading up. The morning view across the valley is beautiful. The house had everything I needed. Bring bug spray if you’re going to go walk around.

Beautiful view and so nicely decorated! It rained most of our trip but the view and space were great so no one minded.
